Well I have the first few months sorted easily at least... (Attack, Str, Def are real close and Summon will happen tonight :D) as for the rest, it'l probably be non-buyables mostly, maybe one or two buyables with my Slayer profits too

thats the problem, all the default yellow legs arent really yellow (Jagex seem incapable of that colour and white it seems) I'll give guilded a try when I have the cash (spending lots recently) but I'm rather stumped for this one :( still doesnt look bad as it is though! :D

Well, I'm Octarine! A few of you may have seen me around and about, and I know i've seen a lot of you too! (no-stalker, promise) Even though uni is hell at the moment, when I'm on you should be able to find me on 99 and I tend to offer my opinions on H&A from time to time, though its usually me asking the questions! As for the topic of this blog, I'm going to try be getting one 99 each month of this year! Pretty mean feat too since its gonna get tricky towards the end.. But I'l drag myself through it :D Sofar I've cut it pretty close on them, getting HP and Magic on the last days of Jaunary and February respectivly D: (Big Images) [spoiler=99 HP (30/01/11)] and Ian got his just a few days later :) [spoiler=99 magic (28/02/11)] Ian downed me as I got 99 xD failmuch.. I'm another one of those freaks that likes to solo :D We should get together and duo! Oh wait... [ONTOPIC] A few other updates like Herblore Habitat and Ancient Effigies happened with nice consequences too :D

From a few weeks back, thought I'd just go solo KQ for fun and this happened :D:D

You can still cast combat spells, just so long as you never hit with them (though it wont be incredibly fast xp, depends what your target level is really) Just gear up in melee armour for negative mage bonuses and autocast on something that has decent mage defence and you should be fine.

Buying them off players could be an easy way, I know ive got a big stock of them in my bank that I never use anymore from past ecto training. Provided you're buying them for a decent price each, im sure you;d be able to attract a lot of them just in GE shouting it.

Also you could improve things with essence pouches, summoning suggestions (essence carriers/foragers), run energy saving options if thats an issue, and a few tips to speed things up like banking at castlewars at the cost of using duel rings twice as fast. Just a few things :)

Yes, but only the strong or decorated ones work.

You could always compromise and plant a torstol in my arms patch and snaps in the rest, so you wont have to take another juju dose later in the run. (by wasted time boosting for torsts) Also no deaths on torstol is nice to know too :D I tend to do this because I dont like to keep lots of money locked up in seeds, but torstols overall will be better profit. edits: and I think quyneax means 3 or 4 bites for the whole run, since the level will obviously drop off over time

green has it right, im basically throwing everything ive got at him (as you would) so deflects, leeches, ovls and the like. I'l try rune bolts is the diamond (e) dont seem to be cutting it and ive finished the seers diary for that nice extra on the bolts too Even if I did line them up they'd still be within a decent range of jad to heal him though wouldnt they? I'l probably just try with getting them all on me, killing three and out damaging the final healer next time I try. Edits: I'l give the lining them up a try if this doesnt seem to work, and guess it couldnt hurt to grab a few rune bolts instead of the diamond ones instead either. Thanks everyone :)

They do go to you, but can still heal jad while you've got the on you regardless of position Done a bit more reading and they'll only respawn at 1/2 health if they healed him upto full originally, so it should be sufficient for me to get them on me, whip out the CR and deal with them then back to jad before they get him to half health (probably)

It does seem that way.. hooray for me being late to the game for a harder boss :S How abouts if I kill 3 and then just out-do the last one for damage? or would he probably spawn 3 more at half health again? :S

Another annoying Jad post. So I have no trouble getting there yadda yadda, but nowadays getting the healers on you doesnt stop them healing jad How am I supposed the deal with this? I tried killing them off one by one, half healthed jad again and he spawned more again. tried again ang he threw out a second wave, then I died on the third due to trying to get them all on me and being overwhelmed =/ So am I supposed to get them all on me kill all but one and then focus on jad again with just one healing him?

I don't quite understand why loads of people are labelling this update as useless.. They take such a small amount of time to make yet when used constantly you've got a great boost to your xp per hour! Yes in the LRC they're not brill unless you have yak + jujus and can afford the invent space they take up, and dont work for ivy (great imo, more real woodcutting) Its definately a good incentive to use the less often used methods of training with the extra xp gained per hour

I'm wondering what 'automaton' has wrt rune.. all I can really think of is the Golem but thought we'd got that questline well and truely resolved.

Thoguh raktuber was a fairly recent quest, seems fairly unlikely we'd get the sequel this soon :S It's an anagram for chaso elemental I always miss the very obvious this first :P Going by including the non-elements too we get ARMOURS. Binding runes into armour for smithing update please? :D and finally.. AUTOMATON, COSMIC, CHAOS, ARMORS

Finally the next pirate quest too :D Also second paragraph = moonclan quest with new lunar spells? Wonder what else lunars really need.. more combat support spells? -> If this has significance, leech=slugs? From here and also reading Itams blog it does look lilke members should be one of my biggest priorities, since progress is a pain in f2p already. I'l wait til holidaystime to get it though, doesnt feel quite worth paying for two accounts worth of members while im at uni and wont use it much. Slay/farm/mtk are gonna be the most useful things I need by the sounds of it w.r.t. DIY so looks like members is gonna have to be a must.. Guess in the meantime it couldnt hurt to get the F2P quests done atleast. Thanks everyone :D
