Becoming skulled
How about if my yak retaliates onto someone?

Becoming skulled
I've never been one for the wilderness or pking, so never really considered how the skulling system works gutter than "if I attack someone in the wildy, i'l get skulled" So, at the risk of sounding like a complete noob, could someone explain becoming skulled in detail? Such as what happens if I retaliate onto another player, etcetc Just started doing chaos ele for a bit of fun and seeking out a d2h drop (must get all dragon drops...) so figured it's best I find this out properly so I can risk a few more items without worrying :P

I like how whoever made this took the time to edit the level numbers, but then gave up on the fairly simple task of adding up a new total level :P

Strange rocks
a few off the top of my head: (key is to maximise the number of chance as above) Herblore: Cleaning herbs (with rocks bag or a freee space in inventory) Smithing: making any 1bar items (bolts/arrowheads/etc) or supersmelting gold with gloves Crafting: 1-hide things tend to be horrific xp/gp, I tend to do either gold braclets or glassblowing Farming: Farm all the patches you can really, if you do regular herb runs you'd get this easily over the week Agility: Just do your best course, preferably one thats fairly fast to complete (one chance per lap for a rock) Hunter: Chinchompas/Jadinkos/Falconry depending on your hunter level or desire for xp Woodcutting: Something fast, like willows/teaks Firemaking: Just line firemake, not sure if the new pyrelord method gives strange rocks or not Cooking: Any old cooking will do Fletching: Cutting bows gives rocks but not stringing them gives rocks iirc Mining: a fairly fast one, anything that mines fast is good so iron/granite/conc coal Fishing: Usually happens in a matter of seconds regardless of method Construction: Obviously expensive to get these rocks, look for a balance of reasonable cost and fast items (like a 4-plank thing rather than 10) though oak doors get them fairly fast Runecrafting: You get one chance per essense so these are fast, do a close altar for a lap such as ZMI/Air/Astral Theif: If you still want court cases, knights of ardy are great for rocks and also court cases. Ifnot, master farmers. Obviously you want to balance these on how much you value gaining more xp in the skill. If say you still wanted woodcutting xp, you'd go for something like teaks or arctic pines rather than willows.

Which chaotic shield to get?
Ah ofcourse, no Summers end quests without summon :( Well assuming you wouldnt really tank at bosses with your melee stats as it'd be much easier to get someone else to, the CKS doesnt really have that much use I guess.. Its a good shield for DKS, and theres a bandos tank setup that uses it (not a great one mind) But for range stakes I'd think its your very best shield you could get? and then EEKS, its only really could at arma, and at a push as a bandos tanking shield with melee Neither are fantastic really, but CKS I'd think would get more use

Which chaotic shield to get?
Spectral is better than an EEKS at both bandos and armadyl, so if you have the money for one you shouldn't really consider this as a matter of interest, what are your other chaotics? Your tokens might be used better on a different weapon

Fremenik Hard Tasks
The new livid farm task (which is not required for the boots rewad, but IS required for taskmaster) "Totally Livid" - Unlock the first spell by helping out on the Livid Farm is not currently included in the tasks guide, it belongs as a hard task I guess

Dungeonsweepers (DGS) - Huge changes; read first post.
This. So much. First things first, I dg'd with DGS from about 85-99 a few months back, and it was always my intention to go even further again when I'd put up some more skills and got through my resit exams. And also, this is a great clan if you were somehow already very good at the things it look for and managed to get it, im not going to argue that DGS is one of the best DG clans out there However; -The reason you aren't getting many new people from tif is probably that they're scared to apply. You expect unreasonably high requirements of people to join and even though you're looking for the right mindset rather than the skills, it would be very offputting to apply. If there were some sort of stepping stone or 'testing clan' into DGS I guess that'd help this, bu of course that'd take some considerable work from dgs members -Although when this clan was created it was about teaching and learning, the ethos has changed quite a lot since then and also, if you're just using the placement on tif in order to recruit, this no longer belongs in H&A. -I've kept upto date with this clan and thread over the time I've been gone and unfortunately, it just seems like you're no longer welcoming, too harsh on new people who need to be given a little space to at least show their potential worth, did you ever consider the reason so many arguements occur on this thread is because theres actually something majorly wrong with either the clans construction, or the place you have put it? With respect, it seems you no longer care for the fact that you're a part of tif (and certainly dont belong in H&A) so why should tif give you the convenience and benefit of free advertising when you'll more than likely turn down or put off anyone new that shows an interest? I know I'm not alone in this view, and my time with DGS was fun and I learnt a lot, but since it is now neither of those things, I think I'l be sticking to dungeoneering with friends and HYT.

Why no love for farming thai? :P Interesting though, how about adding in the other extras like 90 mining/summ level for ragers/70rc and things like that to see how it affects it?

18-Jul-2011 - Cryptic Clue Fest 3 - UPDATED WITH ALL ANSWERS
Unbelievably easy today [spoiler=Todays Solution]2 minds, 3 ropes, 4 standard logs, 4 leather gloves, gem trader in al kharid Kind of a shame since I was hoping today would be nice and tricky, but I like the way the clues worked anyway :) It'd have been nicer if the maps covered p2p areas but ofc they cant down to it being f2p, just made it a bit easy really.

Crippled Bossing Confidence....
"oi i'm not like that" :P Welfare is your friend though :) 4 items kept leaves a lot of room for using decent stuff with no risk, jumping in and trying solo TDS couldnt hurt, and you can always get back to a grave ontime (Y) EDIT: Man up! ;)

Torstol seed prices
Also could be down to snap prices plummeting, forcing more farmers to go to torstols

Yeah that'd be right(where the body rune is). Its just there to make sure you can use the later grid references properly I think

18-Jul-2011 - Cryptic Clue Fest 3 - UPDATED WITH ALL ANSWERS
[spoiler=Method:]Solve both sudokus Use the given references below the grids to setup letters A-I along the bottom, and number 1-9 along the side in REVERSE order Highlight the final area of text and solve the new pieces of text that weren't visible before to find 3 grid references. Rotate the second sudoku once clockwise to match up with the first (the ference grid does not rotate) then read off rune+number of runes.

18-Jul-2011 - Cryptic Clue Fest 3 - UPDATED WITH ALL ANSWERS
My first instinct was that it relates to yesterday's clue, but sadly, apart from D3, they don't correspond to spaces with letters on them. EDIT: Nevermind. Good solution. They correspond to marking how you setup your original grid references (its not logical)

18-Jul-2011 - Cryptic Clue Fest 3 - UPDATED WITH ALL ANSWERS
They seem to just be a marker for the final rotation [spoiler=Solution]7 water runes, 4 fire runes, 6 body runes, wizard mizgog in the wizards tower Much easier today than yesterday, me and my brother solved a sudoku each at the same time :P Took a bit of faffing with getting the final part (I misread a grid reference...) but was fun :D

DFS vs. Arma
Spectral is definately a better shield choice than DFS but it'l cost you much more. Rigour would be very useful to get from DG but I guess you aren't too bothered about training that all that much, and also remmeber not to neglect your mage level for arma, a lot of your mage defence is affected by mage level If I were choosing between DFS/arma bottoms, I'd probably stick with DFS for it since karils is a good alternative however the DFS isnt really useful anywhere else More longterm, a unicorn is a great addition for any bosshunting, and dont expect arma to be the best moneymaker out there. The standard drops almost never make up for the cost of a trip but in the longrun you'll average out in profit from the chest/legs/hilt drops
