I really haven't played RS since last July, so there might of been an update or something. Anyways, I was barrowing yesterday, and when I got to Ahrim I simply got "You don't find anything." Not a tunnel. Not a spawn. Then when I went through the tunnels I kept failing the puzzle, even when I got the correct answer. After a few hundred tries I tried going into other rooms. I found & defeated Ahrim, then went back to the puzzle and got it. wtf?
