  1. Well in Lumbridge there's an altar literally right there anyway :P

    Oldest clans?

Ok added THE, Gladz and BK. Jagz look kinda dead
  3. Ok, so as you may or may not know, Wilderness Guardians had their 6th birthday in December of last year. We usually celebrate the Anniversary then, but as His Lordship was away on the 3rd Real Life meeting during that time, we had it post-poned. We had the 5th and final day of the series of events on Sunday. I'm working on the videos for the event so decided to share them with Tip.It :D #1 (Days 1 and 2) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PedTVv_x4P8&fmt=22 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PedTVv_x4P8&fmt=22 #2 (Days 3 and 4) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ymZNAfmnKU&fmt=22 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ymZNAfmnKU&fmt=22 #3 (Day 5) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GNPOkejlEd4&fmt=22 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GNPOkejlEd4&fmt=22 Please watch in HD if you can :D
  4. That coming from a Solace member I lol'ed :P Yah I see your point with the bones... hmm, what if it was limited to player kills only?
  5. Ok looking to make a list of the oldest SURVIVING clans in RuneScape. Off the top of my head I know these 3: The Sabres (Pre-Runescape) "THE" Clan (Pre-Runescape) Blacknights - Jan 2001 RuneScape Dinasty - Jan/Feb 2001 Gladz - Feb 2001 Wilderness Guardians - Dec 2003 Go! :D
  6. Attack potion Defence potion Both pretty redundant after a certain point in P2P. Now what if they were made F2P alongside Magic/Range pots, and then super magic/super range pots equivalent to the super set were added P2P? You'd have a pot set for F2P right there. Also bones. In F2P, there really is no way to recharge prayer besides altars. So you're up in deep wild with your clan or whatever, and you're out of prayer? Bones are littered across the war zone but they're useless unless you're level 10 prayer. So, what if burying a set of bones recharged prayer? Say like 5% for normal, etc. And hopefully p pot prices might finally start to even out as well :P Just throwing some stuff out there.

  8. Teams are fine as long as they're not replacing clans. As soon as a team event takes priority over a clan event of any kind, it is no longer a team. It is a clan.
  9. WG How will you be remembered in your clan?? Immature troll Why? Guess Would you change why they remember you? Sounds like a good idea to me
  10. Cheers, finally someone appreciates non-modern music  Can't believe it, Ellefson's returned! Seeing em with AC/DC/Them Crooked Vultures/Motorhead/Wolfmother at Download this year
  11. Ah. Wasn't sure wether to put it there or not, as I'm not a WG official and I dunno how it works on tip.it :P Also The Sabres is the clan (Oldest clan in Runescape actually), we call PK trips 'Raids' :P
  12. Ok, I finally got around to editing the latest in an endless chain of footage of the allied raids with Wilderness Guardians and The Sabres. And I didn't know where to post it. So here you go. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ve6FveKFlKA&fmt=22 Please move if apt. It took roughly 12 hours to edit, and it's in HD. Basically WG and TS decided to do an allied P2P raid, and for the better part of the raid I don't think we ran into anyone who challenged us for ground. We repeatedly cleared BH and CWA, and at one point took on Jaja and Welfarers at the same time. Feedback and comments are appreciated
  13. Get 40 def, be rune pure.
  14. Oh cool, a trollfest  @OP Your fault you got banned. You still have 112m left.
  15. Do you think that these vids affect the amount of people joining?: Yes. I am a huge fan of clan media, especially videos and I think promotional videos have a major impact on the clan, not just in terms of new applicants but in terms of popularity and reputation as well. Pre-WG, when I was looking for clans to join my decisions were always based on promo vids. With one, the clan has the option to portray themselves to future members, so that they know exactly what they will get when they join. I have made at least 10 for separate clans myself. Does your clan have one? If yes, did it bring any joiners with it?:  Yes, we do. We have several, if you count His Lordship's flash movies. And they have probably brought in joiners by the hundreds. What is the best promotion vid you've ever seen?: Hmm... WildGuard's is definitely at the top of the list somewhere, it's really well done but not perfect. I did think Corr's multicoloured elephant was a lol, despite their claim that WG has no porn (What the [bleep]?!) ... I'll get back to you on that :P
  16. Dwarf cannons break non-multi combat zone rules. A person can take a cannon to green dragons in non-multi combat zone in the wilderness and it can blast away 3-4 dragons at a time. The owner can sit back and relax, and simply collect the bones/hides to gain easy cash. It gives them an unfair advantage over other players because they do not have the ability to attack multiple NPCs at once. Sometimes, the fire rate is so powerful it hits as soon as the dragons respawn, so if the cannon is correctly placed, others don't even have a chance of getting a click to attack. The same goes for all single-combat areas, not just drags. They are like dragon claws - overpowered and excessive to the people who have them. IMO, cannons should not be allowed in non-multi. Discuss.
  17. I don't know about the d med but KBD sounds like a good addition for F2P. If it's not a demo for P2P like they say, then a little more challenge is needed for F2P players who are past level 50 :P
  18. Summer of 2003. I remember when RS2 came out, my computer couldn't handle the graphics and I missed the week they gave us to transfer our items back to classic when everything was moved to RS2. I was so pissed off :P
  19. What I don't fully understand is how having high defence makes you a defence noob. According to UD: "Noobs/n00bs know little and have no will to learn any more." How having high anything makes the owner a "noob" in the matter is beyond me. If my opponent says so to me, I simply dismiss it as childish and immature banter and proceed to KO them for half a mil, simply because I am a combat noob.
  20. Lithuanian Neggas PKing Clan Wilderness Guardians + Reign of Terror
  21. Are they that greedy that they don't want the leadership to be moved on? This is a good question. Brian was the renowned leader of what was possibly the strongest F2P clan since RSD, and that would be a hard title to give up to anyone else, IF there was anyone else he deemed worthy of taking up leadership. Greed, I don't know about though. The clan cannot run without that leadership? I think so, as said above. I personally don't like clans that constantly change leadership though - yes, maybe the clan might turn out better and stronger, but the clan itself changes just as much as the leadership does. This has happened before. If anyone remembers the Cutthroat Syndicate (cXs, closed late 2007), they left their RuneScape focus because Tom/Hunter22 (Founder and leader) had too much going on in real life to manage a clan. Yes, they had some slight leadership changes before, but cXs wouldn't be the same clan without Tom at the lead. Even so, the cXs community is thriving with him still an active forum member, more than 2 years after the clan closed. WG is similar in many ways. We wouldn't be the same without Gene/His Lordship. Are they just using this as an excuse for their closure? It seems a valid suggestion. The clan world isn't what it once was, with limited resources after all the drama with RWT (And who really wants to be based in clan wars?). It's not as easy as it once was to sustain a clan (I myself have had former leadership positions). If the clan starts falling back in terms of wars/PKs/PKRIs, it'll be one hell of a task to bring them back up to speed, and in this day and age, we ask ourselves, "Is it really worth it?"
  22. 1) Does your clan F2P PK? Yes, we do host F2P PKs (We call them Raids) from time to time. 2A) If yes, how often? They're fairly frequent, but not as often as I personally would like. I'd say WG hosts 2 or 3 F2P raids a month. Although I think it's fair, we have had a history in P2P and the intensity and complexity of P2P (And of course the drops! :P) make it a lot more fun for a lot of our members, so we spend more time there. When we do F2P raid though, it is usually very successful. Our last F2P was with the Sabres (The oldest clan in RuneScape) and we cleared Noobs Inc. twice and took on Gladz and Blacknights :D P2P is more about profit and adrenaline rush. F2P is more simplistic (I prefer it rather). Either way, it's all about having fun :)
  23. Edit: removing a quote from a deleted post. ~ Ninane Simply this, really. The clan world isn't what it once was, and more often than not I see clans who organise fights and bend, even break their own rules in their favour. Today, it's all about winning, even if you have to cheat to do so. I rarely see an even, honourable fight anymore.
  24. Very nice work. I especially like the maxed melee on your main... isn't the max. speed you can train at on RSC 30k xp an hour? Heh, I couldn't live with that :P But get your range up! There's no running in RSC so if you lose an opponent in combat you want something longrange you can hybrid well with :P My veteran account is Kecooler but he doesn't have membership atm, I'm on as WG_Keanu on the new server now.
