  1. I'm starting up a new clan in just a few hours, casual playing, F2P PvP based :) Here's a copy of our recruitment topic if you're interested:
  2. 200+ jumps in 18 months... holy hell  Sounds like you got one hell of a lifestyle though :D I'm starting up a new clan in a couple hours, so I'll post our recruitment topic template here for your consideration :)
  3. I am so confused.
  4. You FORGOT your cape?
  5. I  too, but  I  so  . Still, and =D>, for :shades: . Congratulations 'The', I was at the P2P PvP fight we had in 2010. Clean, fair and respectable. Couldn't ask for anything more
  6. Wilderness Guardians vs 420 PKers WG's first war of 2011 - January 4th/5th http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5X5b5hyIUvM 420 reformed recently, and their return to the clan world has been less than welcoming. Many people said they would not last. They lost fights, and their efforts slandered. But around a year ago in early 2010, WG weren't doing too well ourselves. We were in the midst of a losing streak that would last six months, our morale was dropping, and we were on the edge of death. We had a few fights, including one with 420. They gave us an impressive PvP P2P range-only fight in oldschool gear. And despite our loss, that one out of all stood out to me, looking back. So I, with the support of WG's leadership (as I am not staff) asked Dcranger for our first war of 2011. We had 2 rounds of a matched (first +/-3) P2P CWA war, with a 200k gear cap. One day's prep. Round 1 Opts WG Starting: 51 420 Starting: 48 WG Ending: 27 420 Ending: 0 Round 2 Opts WG Starting: 51 420 Starting: 51 WG Ending: 33 420 Ending: 0 WG won both rounds. However, 420 tell me that their VoIP was DDoSed before and during the fights. I will not throw accusations at anyone for this, but good fight 420 for doing your best anyway. And when I say "good fight 420", I truly mean it. There is nothing bad to be said - two old school clans still alive today, having nothing but a clean and fair fight. WG showed respect, and 420 did the same for us. That's what war is about, and I hope that every member of the Wilderness Guardians and 420 Pkers left tonight having enjoyed themselves in what is nothing more than a fun game of Runescape. I could not ask for anything more.

Gained #1 f2p, reduced rot to 40 man pulls, slumped VR, slumped DF. And your clan? WG didn't get banned from the wilderness and had to resort to creating a team just so that we could PK. :kayne:
  8. ^ Only one person's in there twice, you can volunteer to be the next if you want ;) Adding these:
  9. Wilderness Guardians and The Sabre Clan http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtQj3uDbeaU
  10. Stellar Dawn Guardians SDG I like the sound of it.
  11. What the f Yufei, you had standards in 2007 :P With people crashing anyone and unlikely people retaliating, just how long do you think this will continue? The fight is mainly between EoS and RoT, which has calmed slightly from the looks of things. Once one clan takes the upper hand (Or someone grows the balls to accept defeat), VR, TT and so on -might- follow suite. Do you see any other clans retaliating and actually sticking with it? It's a powerfest. Whoever can sustain themselves in it is already involved - VR, DK, etc. The only two other top clans who aren't in it yet are RSD and -possibly- Corr... though Corr might not last too long (compared to RSD, not an insult) Who else do you expect to hop into the mess given the nature of the clans currently involved? Unfortunately Corr seems like they're on the waiting list. Hopefully they won't. And hopefully RSD won't either. Yes, WG.
  12. If a picture is worth 1000 words, how much is a 30fps video 3 minutes and 39 seconds long? :P http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fjb7z_j3N5I And if anyone's interested, the prep vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b9zOv6KoL3U
  13. Edit: We aren't actually claiming a win, else title would be "WG/TS Defeat Brut". In actual fact, after they massed up properly they beat us more times than we beat them. But this isnt's not a topic about who defeated who, it's about our rather fun and enjoyable night out. We claim nothing and have no disrespect to Brut or anyone else. So yesterday, WG had our usual Saturday raid. With The Sabres joining in on this one, we managed to pull a pretty sweet 96 opts :XD: Heading out we ran into HF and that did not go down to well for us. After getting some kills in, we decided to head up deep, meeting Brut on the way at Dwarves. To be fair, there were only about 10 or so of them, so the fight was over in a couple of minutes. So then we continued up deep. Our second fight with Brut was at the gap, which we managed to clear, and the fight proceeded to Gdz. Brut still had low numbers compared to us, and returned by tele'ing in straight to Gdz (Epic barrage pile). Soon enough their returning skills were on par with our numbers, so it became pretty balanced, if not really even. This lasted for 10-15 minutes until AF showed up and ended the fun :-( After that we fought FF at New Gate, which ended for us fairly quickly. We went back to shallow and apparently had some more fights with Brut/AF, and picked on Welfarers for a bit before ending. Many thanks to HF, Brut, FF and all others for some fun fights, was a pretty cool night out overall. Respect

The depths of the night were long past, and the soft, blue glow of early morning could be seen on the horizon through the mist. It was late into November, and the winter frosts clothed the barren trees of the Wilderness - ghostly figures standing silently upon the landscape, sparkling in the moonlight. DHS's golden cape draped loosely as he trudged across the cold, hard earth. His path was illuminated by the glow of the trails of lava to his left. To his right stood the ridge of the north. It loomed over him, its rocky face glaring down like some massive, forsaken beast. He sighed. The ridge would obscure his view of not only the north, but limit his vision to the west. He needed to be on height. Slowly, he averted his course and began his ascent of the slope. Climbing onto the ridge's peak, he looked at his surroundings. Apart from some boulders and the remains of a long-dead tree, the path was clear east. Through the valley afar he could see the mountains, and the Runite mine crawling with venonmous spiders. The ore inside the rocks glowed a bluish hue from where the streams of lava branched slightly north. But there was someone else there - a shadowy figure whom DHS could not make out. He gripped his sword, and prepared for battle. DHS raced down the ridge's slope and into the valley, losing sight of his adversary. As he climbed the slope of the mountain, he dressed himself in the magical robes he had taken with him. Reaching the top, he summoned the magical spell and cast a bind down into the mine towards the shadow without a moment's hesitation. He quickly changed to his Rune armour and charged down the mountainside. As DHS reached the mine, he recognised his foe. His name was Ukinamet - a renowned PKer in the deep west of the Wilderness. He was only one hundred and five - six levels below DHS, but his deadly strength with a bow was at it's best. It was clear Ukinamet had been at the mine for quite some time, waiting to pray on the defenceless that dared venture in search of the rare Runite ore. DHS's Rune sword cut through Ukinamet's meagre body armour of Dragonhide. For the first time, he had taken the sword rather than a scimitar - for a powerful blow rather than speed. Ukinamet retaliated immediately - swinging his bow into action. A ranged level of 99 powered the adamant-tipped arrows as they powered into DHS's kite-shaped shield of Rune, while the razor-sharp blade of his sword slashed wildly at the green body of dragon scales. The fight raged on. DHS had brought anchovy-topped pizzas to serve his health, although his magical runes and robes limited their stock. He made use of the potion he had bought from the Varrock apothecary to increase his strength, and fought with all his might. He called out to Saradomin for aid, and felt the strength of his muscles grow and his skin harden to the blows. Ukinamet did the same - calling to Zamorak for guidance. As DHS's stock of food began to reach halfway, Ukinamet dropped his bow and took out a battleaxe of Rune from his satchel. He delivered a powerful blow, the axe cleaving through DHS's Rune plate and clean through his shoulder. As DHS knelt to heal himself. Ukinamet suddenly grabbed his bow and ran past DHS to the East and up the ridge. DHS was badly injured, but he knew he had a code of honour to uphold. He scrambled to his feet and followed. But Ukinamet was long ahead of him, and DHS could not catch up. They had left the ridge and were racing across open plain towards the Spider Mountain. DHS quickly put on his magic robes and cast a bind spell towards his fleeing foe. But then Ukinamet turned around towards him and in an instant fired a single shot from his bow - slicing through the soft fabric of DHS's robes and into his side. DHS felt at least two ribs crack, and he stopped, gasping from the impact as blood stained his robes. But the bind had hit, and a thick root sprung from beneath Ukinamet's feet. It wrapped itself tightly around the ranger's body, rendering him immobile. DHS ripped the arrow from his body and threw on his Rune plate armour. He charged, swinging wildly at Ukinamet, who had almost freed himself from the vine's choking grip. Ukinamet began to run again, north around the mountain, but DHS was fast upon him - his blade slicing through Ukinamet's cape and digging through the Dragonhide. Blood spattered upon the ground. They reached the fence, separating them from the deep. Ukinamet turned around again and fired another arrow, grazing DHS's side. DHS was healed reasonably, but to his horror, he found that only a fraction of a full pizza remained from his stock. And for the first time, Ukinamet spoke. "Hah! I have four pizzas remaining!" DHS knew this was the end, but he was going to fight to the death. He slashed wildly at Ukinamet, dealing blow after blow and deflecting arrow after arrow. Ukinamet took the damage heavily, and soon his stock was depleted completley as well. DHS had eaten his final fraction of pizza but he had gained the advantage. Ukinamet began to back down from his wounds, and was near death. He then fired one last shot at DHS, the arrow piercing through armour and flesh. DHS felt the pain of the arrow in his chest, bringing him down to only a quarter of his health. This would be his final blow. So he needed to make it count. Dropping his sword, he reach into the case which hung at his side and withdrew a powerful, heavy two-handed sword of Rune. Without hesitation he swung it high over his head and brought it straight down upon Ukinamet. It cleaved clean through the helmet, and DHS was covered in a shower of blood. Ukinamet fell to his knees, and collapsed upon the ground. His body faded away, leaving a pile of armour and arrows at DHS's feet. Blood pouring from his wounds, DHS picked up the valuable loot and placed it in his case, when suddenly he heard the twang of a bow. He looked up towards the mountain and saw an adamant arrow screaming down towards him. This was someone else. He ducked just in time, but did not look up again. He was in no condition to fight, and raced south as fast as his legs would carry him. The ranger followed. Past the Isle of dragons they fled, DHS's heavy armour weighing him down and the ranger sending deadly arrows flying towards him, missing him by inches. As they reached the grass-covered hills north of the volcano, one arrow finally hit home. It pierced through DHS's weakened armour and into his back. DHS would have screamed from the pain, but his mouth had filled with blood. He kept running, as it was the only thing he could do. The next one hit him in the leg. He collapsed by the pond between the two hills, blood staining the grass around him. His vision blurred, and his energy was gone. Pain screamed all through his body, and he knew he could not survive another hit. He turned his head back towards the north and saw the ranger atop the hill. He fitted an arrow to his bow, drew back the string and took aim... And out of nowhere, a giant covered in moss appeared by the ranger's side. It swung it's wooden club wildly, catching the ranger off-guard and throwing him to the side. He got up and looked back towards DHS lying helplessly. But the giant's club came down on him again, and he could not finish the battle. DHS sighed with relief - he was safe. He closed his eyes as otherworldly forces took him away from the land. Passing through another dimension, DHS found himself awakening in the same place he had left, but with the ranger nowhere in sight. He was still in agony, but the pain had subsided. He would live. Sitting upright, he opened his case to study his loot. He wiped the blood off Ukinamet's battleaxe, as well as a Rune-forged dagger and a pile of adamant arrows. They would sell for a good price. Slowly getting to his feet, DHS took out a magical staff from his case and put away the two-handed sword he held. Using the staff as a walking stick, he began to limp south, towards the camp at the base of the volcano. A few hours later, DHS was back on his feet, fully healed and with a new stock of food. He had returned to his original world, and headed back to the Runite mine. Coming across the ridge, he stopped and looked down past the valley. The mine was empty - not just of people, but the rocks had been drained of ores. He smiled. Indeed, someone had come to mine, and he was glad that they had not fallen victim to Ukinamet. DHS looked down at the weapon in his right hand. He had sold the battleaxe and the arrows in trade for a scimitar of Rune. It felt light and fast, but more importantly, well-earned. He turned his back to the mine and set off east across the ridge, continuing his journey through the Wilderness. True story.
  16. If you could Turn back time in the clan world, When would you have wanted to be present within your clan? December 6th, 2003. What were the events surrounding that point in your clans life? A clan called the PK PKs was formed following a post on the Rune Village forums entitled "Read This If You Hate PKers". The post was by a player known as His Lordship. The PK PKs would eventually become known as the Wilderness Guardians - one of the most influential clans in the game. Why does that moment stand out for you the most? It's simply me. Most people would prefer to go back to 2005/2006 when WG's domination of P2P multi started. I'd rather live it from the beginning. @Joe: Well, WG's domination only really kicked off with the WG vs The Unbreakables war in 2005, and I'd say peaked with WG vs DoA in July. I have yet to speak to Kenshln, but it's on my list of priorities. WG vs RO, 2004 WG vs TU, 2005 WG vs DoA, 2005 X vs DS, 2006 A couple more like WG vs BD, WG + Fear vs 'The' as well. Gotta check dates on those.
  17. Check account, make sure I have all sets/food needed. Gear up, go to mass location and log. Check other accounts eg. scout, ensure they're placed. Do any RL stuff (food, bathroom, whatever) Organize IRC, TS3, RS That's it really.
  18. Does your clan do any of this? Age of Empires, Travian. Some other minor ones like FunOrb games, iSketch. What do you think of it overall? Personally a fan of AoE. I don't mind it. Does it take away from the main events of the clan or does it help by boosting its community? Nah, has no profound effect on the main events.
  19. None of The Sabres are any good at bowling IRL, but they're one hell of a clan \:D/ Jk ily guys <3:
  20. DK is a joke. I'd like to see you try and beat TT without running to VR or EoS for help.
  21. Runefest attendees + Wilderness Guardians vs Jagex Mods. When I say I was there for it, I mean LITERALLY. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ikw9c9rgUSQ WG have also had some epic ones, including: The Battle of Turning Tides - WG vs Dangerous Business. Ended a 6-month losing streak. Amazing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RAjqiEBBcAQ WG vs Gladz - 2005-style gear, Stronghold of Player Safety. Epic speech, over in >5 minutes, very unique war. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAqHTQk30cg
  22. When is it ok to crash? - Depends on your advocates. For me, not unless I have a strong reason to, which I can't think of. Does your clan crash planned fights? - Our rules say "No deliberately crashing an organised fight between two or more clans, unless one or more of those clans is an enemy of WG". Since we have no enemies at the moment, we don't. Do you Consider it 'NH'? - Yes. You're interfering with someone else's fight. Would WG want someone to crash our wars without cause? If someone in YOUR clan snipes other wars, do your clan officials take action? - I'm sure they would take the appropriate action if it happened.
  23. Combat level is 111/118. I don't solo P2P, and when I do solo F2P I usually stay deep - Rune Rocks to Greaters is my usual patrol route. I use all the F2P BH and PvP worlds, but stick to deep wild. On the occasion I'll go to shallow (BH/CWA area) but only if I'm with a team, else it would be pointless. In P2P I'm always with WG, so a group of between 10 and 30 people. We go between BH and CWA on the PvP and BH worlds, but very rarely to +1 worlds, unless it's KO Unit. We occasionally do Falador as well.
