1. Combat level is 111/118. I don't solo P2P, and when I do solo F2P I usually stay deep - Rune Rocks to Greaters is my usual patrol route. I use all the F2P BH and PvP worlds, but stick to deep wild. On the occasion I'll go to shallow (BH/CWA area) but only if I'm with a team, else it would be pointless. In P2P I'm always with WG, so a group of between 10 and 30 people. We go between BH and CWA on the PvP and BH worlds, but very rarely to +1 worlds, unless it's KO Unit. We occasionally do Falador as well.
2. My mausoleum so far: As of 14/12/2010. Omitted: PvP tricks, 0 and 1-itemers, drops with no effect on EP (with some exceptions). That's every single kill I've gotten since I made the account WG Keanu in early 09, bar one - which was only a rune skirt drop that I lost afterwards (corrupt image). I may have a couple more on my laptop which I'll get around to editing in.
3. I'm a 12 year old girl and I play RS, are there any other 12 year olds who want to-- no, just kidding
4. We agree CWA and the volcano need to go. Now, what happens to the BH bank? Loads of possibilities - keep it, remove it, whatever. How will it affect PvP?
5. Quitted is not a word, Yufei. (Ex-Moratorium unit fall in) Twice. - 1st was early 2004. My main Keiscool had been hacked, and I just left entirely. A year later, I found out my friends all played, which gave me cause to pick up again, on Kecooler. - 2nd was mid 2008. I'd lost interest in RS in early 08, my clan had died, cXs had died, RS was going down the drain. I dropped my 10m bank on Kecooler and quit. Started playing again in early 09 when I remembered WG.
6. 2002 - 2010 Just look at it. 7 years ago, there was virtually nothing in the wilderness. Now we have a huge, useless volcano taking up half of it. It's crowded with minigames like FoG, SC and CWA. You have quests there like Summer's End. Point being, there are far too many landmarks. Even for new players, after 2 or 3 trips into the wild, you get to know where things are and can find yourself. Back in RSC and the old days, it was different. You could go in, and get lost. That's what I liked about it - the adventure. The Wilderness isn't wilderness anymore. It's another Runescape city. Discuss.
7. Simple topic :P What is your clan? : How old is it? : Birthday (If you know it) : What is your clan? : Wilderness Guardians How old is it? : Six years and nearly 10 months Birthday (If you know it) : December 6th, 2003
8. With the clan world "Smaller" than before do you focus on quality recruits or teaching members how to become quality members? - When you say "quality" recruits, it's hard to interpret. What qualities would I look for in a potential recruit? Well really, just a sense of honour and fair play. They could know nothing about our PvP aspects, but I wouldn't disregard them for that. And we have had quite a few recent applicants who aren't really familiar with clanning, but we do our best. So I'd say our focus is on the teaching. Is the quality most clans seek slowing down the growth of the clan world, or could it even be a contributing factor to less people clanning? - Well, like you said, there are many possible reasons of the diminishing clan world. Looking at it from that point of view, I see the logic, and I'd have to agree with it. Because of the changes that have been hammered upon the game in the past three years, the clans have started to really diverse. I even remember seeing a topic on the forums about someone starting up a bot-slaying clan. So there are MORE varied types of clans, and they're starting to really excel at what they're doing. Now, I don't know about other clans like skilling-based, and whether they teach or seek. But in PvP, it's all "seek". The top clans seek out the best members, they become great, what few quality clanners are left behind join them, amateur ones join other syndicates like CCs, and we end up with something like this: If your clan does take in new clanners what do you do to ensure that they become a quality member? - WildGuard has a simplistic yet thorough application process. Even before they apply, they're free to attend public events (The only events we host which are NOT public are raids/PKs and wars. Everything else is open to guests) and have the experience with us. The introduction and application sections are to get the member involved in the community as well as familiar with our forums. The trial process is to not just allow them to prove their activity, but to get used to the style of WG. We even assign personal mentors (I myself have four mentees at the moment) to help them with their needs. We have gear requirements to ensure they're well-prepared, and they must attend a number of official (private) events before graduating. While it seems complicated, it's really a piece of cake. My app and trial was a breeze. At what point do you give up on trying to teach new clanners and just let them fail/quit/get kicked? - When all forms of communication with them cease. If they don't WANT to join WG, we can't force them, but as long as they're trying to, we give our best to help them. I had no P2P experience and didn't meet our gear reqs when I applied. Infact, looking back I was more of a hinderance to them than anything else. But I wanted to be WG more than anything else, and they helped me to do that and never gave up on me. I'm proud to say WG has made me who I am, in RS and as a person. Do you focus on improving the quality of your current member base to allow some leeway on newer clanners? - We try to. We're also looking for ways to expand, and different directions rather than just upwards. But it's very difficult to try and get into that gap. There's only so much a clan can do in the middle class, before they have to take on one of the bigger names. And that today is a really huge step.
9. Come on MMG, are you sure I can't get a flagstaff? :( Nah jk, don't send that one in. But I would actually really love a recipe for the cheesecake/"redberry pie" they had for sale.
10. Does anyone have any mithril seeds for sale? I'm not great with prices so if you could send me a forum pm with an offer, it'll be appreciated :)
11. Depends on if it's worth it. On the one hand you have Dungeoneering and Hunter which are blatiantly boring and I never train them. On the other hand you have Summoning which is actually useful. So I do like the oldschool side of things and avoid certain new introductions, but I also like to be full-on in modern warfare and so.

13. Oh it was great fun :D except dying for over half a mil, that could have been avoided <_< but yeah :P Also hope you guys are ready for next week ;)
14. People say a picture is worth 1000 words. So what's a video? 1k words per picture by 30fps by 4 minutes... 7.2 million words ish? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=upWM5HNfSJM So WG were out on a Sunday morning raiding... which is a rather horrible time, because the only action we usually get is with Welfarers - and they weren't that strong anyway. We wandered around for a bit, and on our second world hop we went to CWA which was completley dead. Now, His Lordship had joined late and was about to catch up to us there. We were coming around by sperm hill when Lordy goes "GET TO CWA I'M BEING PILED BY A TEAM!!!!!1!1!!ONE!1!" And thus began our first fight with Team Alive. I think in total we had four fights with them. The one at CWA, in which I died and wasn't really sure what happened, but it appears WG pulled out. Both sides were dealing and taking heavy damaged, which kept up in our second run-in at the obelisk south of the graveyard. That one lasted about 5-10 minutes, and WG were the underdogs again. TA somehow took out ALL our callers, so I of all people ended up calling the piles. Score one for me! :D A while later WG took sperm hill and placed me on the north east hill to alert them if anyone came from the north. The next thing I know, a mass of white dots is rushing me from the west, and I have a 600k risk (I am NEVER maging again). After screaming at WG and sh***ing bricks, our third run-in ensures at sperm hill. Ok, now WG know we've found some serious business so we asked Team Alive for an organised run-in (PKRI in the traditional sense :D), but up deep. We headed up with around the 45 opts mark and took the high ground at new gate. TA say they had 21 opts, which was a considerable drop from the force we ran into in shallow. The fight began at about 11:20 AM UK time (Yay for Runescape PKRI with a hangover), and WG cleared TA in just under four minutes, ending with only one or two deaths. From myself and on behalf of WG, massive respect to Team Alive for a clean fight and a shedload of awesomeness in shallow :D all four of them were pretty epic and very enjoyable... *gets out cannon and heads back to green drags* And well done to all the WG who showed up on such short prep, great turnout for a Sunday morning fight, and looking forward to doing it again next week  ^ From the run-ins and some general raid pics... there should be 7 but Photobucket is being awkward.

16. How far is too far? Well, quite a few people are saying "once real life is affected". But then again, WG is one of the forerunning clans working to bridge the gap between the game and real life, so it would be rather hypocritical of me to say that. I'd say when things start dealing damage - physical or mental - it's too far. What can be done? Following His Lordship's suggestion is my plan for now. I have no better ideas. Have you ever experienced this personally? Thankfully no. Do you really think it can get worse? We're humans. Of course it can get worse.
17. I remember when Tko was formed, in fact I was the person who made your first forum banner  It's great to see you guys have made it two years and are back on the battlefield again. I wish you all the best
18. What's your favourite clan/team (other than your own) and why? Alive today? I'd say Divine Forces. WG and DF have had a history (example). I only know them as well as an outsider can, but from what I've seen, they have a great community, and since 2007 I've seen them as a strong and honourable force in the clan world. Not alive today, I'd say the Cutthroat Syndicate (cXs). They're the only clan I've known that could rival WG in terms of community and atmosphere. I was with cXs for a mere few days as a clan friend, attended a few wars and PKs, and I have never seen another clan like them. When they closed, their leader Hunter22 gave me membership (Even though I didn't meet the requirements) just so I could say I had been a part of the clan. That says it all.
19. I think WG warred LND four times in total within a 1 year timespan. Win, Loss, Loss, Win. A strong force and a name worthy of rememberance. RIP.
20. WildGuard has had many. From wars like WG vs DoA, X vs DS, WG vs TU, etc. to D-Day, the TeamSpeak Rant, and too many to list. In my time in WG the three biggest changes were The Great War, the Battle of Turning Tides (See Joe's post) and this August. Last month was a huge turnaround for us with so many things going on, including defeating 'The' Clan in a full-out P2P PvP war, and the incredibly huge 5th Real Life meeting at RuneFest.
21. In total I've had 220%, one 60% was a suspension, so I gotta come pretty close.

Spying

What do you think about spying? Personally, I don't do it, and I don't agree to others doing it. Explained more in #3. Does your clan spy on another clan? No. WildGuard believes in fair play, and we don't do anything that we wouldn't want done to us. WG has had a history with spies in our clan who have leaked private information to the clan world, not only that, but then been asses about it and rubbed it in our faces. WG wouldn't do that to any other clan, no matter what our relationship is like. Would you say it's NH? It's hard to define what's honourable and what's not these days. I don't agree to a person being in a clan solely to gather information on that clan, as it's not what clans are about. But it's a method, really. Spying is about gathering the enemy's information to gain a tactical advantage, and so the ultimate goal is to be victorious. So in a way, spying exploits the underlying foundations and meanings of clans. And with that thought, I guess I could call it NH. I wouldn't want a spy in my clan - would anyone?
23. Dear god man. +1 for getting a domain name, but please invest in a decent banner. I could make that in 30 seconds on photoshop <_< Looks like you're making progress though. Keep it up
24. 1. Would you leave your clan if you felt that important aspects of your clanning experience such as "friends, having fun, community" became deteriorated? WG isn't what it was three years ago. I'm still here. And hell, I've experienced some of our greatest historical moments - two incredible wars (The Great War & The Battle of Turning Tides), I've been to our most epic real life meeting yet, and I've seen and helped bring the clan back on it's feet. So I will always have the "having fun" element. As for friends - the true ones 1- don't break away from the clan as they value it as much as myself, and 2- would stay in contact anyway. I have friends who have left WG for other clans like Divine Forces and Corruption, but it's their choice of clan, not mine. And community... I can't see our community aspect deteriorating. 2. What factor is it that makes you stay in your current clan? Novelty. In the 5 years I've been in the clan world and the thirty or so clans I've been in - make that fifty or so if you count clans I wasn't a member of but had events and experience with (Yes I was a clan hopper, I know :P) - I have never found a clan that comes close to WG. Most clans are simply community, atmosphere, events. And that's it. There's so much to WG, I could write a book on it, but I'll spare you guys that and just give you THIS :P 3. In your honest opinion, would you say your a "Number 1" or a "Number 2", and why? A Number 2. You emphasised the word "home" there. I don't need to say much more than that. WG is my home. We might not be the strongest or most influential (reference joke), but we're family.
25. By the Tip.It community? Well I'd be biased if I said WG so I'll say THE. They've done well to last 10 years and from what I've seen they have a good community. They've always been a strong force in my eyes and they gave us a great and respectful war recently, so massive <3:
