I can answer 1 and 4. 1. Fire cape 4. Maul is only useful at WFs, don't bother using it for other tasks like black demons. I have also heard that rapier is nearly as good as the maul on waterfiends but I haven't tried it yet

The bunyip scroll lets you eat raw food I believe. They drop raw food and with a certain cooking level you can cook them with the scroll. Check up on that, maybe you'll be able to use that to your advantage
