Farming all those cave moray potatoes in dung must have helped. I only farm Lycopus and Winter's Grip in dungeoneering. Salve eels work just fine.

Nobody ever mentioned it then. That probably wasn't binds being lost either, that was probably people accidentally selling/alching their binds (because you could actually do that back then)

At dagannoth kings, the earliest you can have soul split active and still be protected from Prime's attack is exactly when he fires off his attack. Any earlier, and you get hit, Assuming you're using a whip/rapier on supreme, it's simple to SS on him, since all you have to do is attack right after prime does and you just flash back and forth from SS to Magic For soul splitting on rex, you can flash on a 3-1 interval. You can soul split flash 3 times, but then you MUST keep magic protect on for the next hit, or prime will hit you. Finding the start of this intervall is the hard part. Keep in mind this is very risky, as prime can hit 500+

You're kidding right? You honestly think the other skills took more work then this? Honestly, this skill proves the exact opposite of what you said. It'd be more lazy of them to create anther woodcutting, or runecrafting type skill. While I agree it's more like a minigame then a skill, to say jagex was lazy when making this...just absolutely blows my mind...

That's people trying to "scam" your assist. They assume since you have a good herblore, then you must have already bought cooking since it's so much cheaper (profits now, but yea). I guess for you since you don't have the level, you didn't need to worry about. But right now, the only skill I have on for assists is farming. I only turn the others on for friends. If you want make sure you get an assist in the right skill, just turn off all the ones you don't want.

This. How does that work...when skills take less time to train now? Just because you're now choosing to grind, doesn't mean it didn't exist in 2006, it was worse back then.

yes. Dragon hatchet is also worth it if you decide to Woodcut later as well

When dunging with friends/good efficient teams, it's awsome. When dunging in w 117, 148, solo (subjective) or with elitist scums, it sucks. My overall view on the skill. It's not a skill, it's an awsome giant minigame with kickass rewards that gives you total level and xp.

2011 > 2006 However, I find it fun to look at really old pictures and think "Hey, I remember when it was like that!" If you think it's all about grinding now...that's your fault for not doing things you find fun. If you aren't able to find things in this game you find fun, stop playing. The grind has always been there. If anything it's been lessened because skills can be trained so much faster now.

Well, it depends if there's ever people there now getting kc/mage kills. From the looks of this thread, no one is there anymore, so there's no one to take kills from anymore. Oh well. What's so annoying about a 8-10 minute KC, when two other gwd bosses are already like that?

Gilded, yes. I believe it's 226 xp/ash but I wasn't 100% sure. The problem with that is he has no yak to bank them, so he may be able to kill that many in an hour but he has no way of banking said ashes without severely cutting into his kills/hr realistically he's looking at about 1/2 to 3/4s that number at best. I based my numbers under the assumption that he can kill 1 black demon every 18 seconds with cannon + melee, and that a banking trip takes 3 minutes with cwars+fally telly. However, a lack of 70 agility or atleast 67 to pot would mess up the numbers a lot. 18 seconds/demon is obviously a lot more than necessary, so seeing as 48 mins per hr spent killing demons @ 18 sec/demon = 160 demons. given a more realistic time frame per demon (12s/demon for me), I can kill and bank 200 ashs/hr. The only reason I used 18 seconds is because I've done black demons alot so I know a good setup a bit more such as cannon placement, ect. I'm not saying that OP is ignorant on black demon killing, but I don't think it would take him 18 seconds with cannon + melee, that was just a safety measurement in my calcs. Hell, even if he can do 15s/demon, that still leaves him with more time to bank. Why would he bank at castle wars...then teleport to falador to get back? Wouldn't it be better to bank in falador then?

He just likes have a weapon from warped floors basically, he knows the primal rapier would be better, but meh. It's not like we need him to stab very often, he's the one normally running ahead.

you do realise everyone who nexs and everyone on this thread uses steel titan on kc? and with claws + steel + ovl i can do kc in about 8:30 5 isnt quite possible perhaps they could have some way to make dung lower the kc, like at 70 dung u only need 30, at 90 only 20, at 110 only 15, and at 120 dung you only need to kill 10 8:30 sounds about right Nice suggestion with the dungeoneering but you know for sure that won't be received well :-( Might also help that when I went to go look at Nex, everyone else was too, so I was just stealing kills from everyone else :rolleyes: I did it in close to 5 minutes, that's a fact. What about free trade? That has a much greater impact on the average player then the wilderness ever has, and it's hardly been mentioned. Why can't jagex made "I brought back free trade" shirts? Why do Pkers get all the attention from this update? On a slightly unrelated note....has anyone seen those new Dancing for Money bots? I get quiet a laugh out of them.
