Ross, longer than that. Few days after he joined, and the rest found out on the YOH War Council PM.

The Back Room
I can do that too, old tv's make some static-y sound in my ears that apparently nobody else hears :blinks: Only young people hear it. Reminds me of that one episode of "The Outer Limits" where an audio broadcast from space turned people under 21 into aliens.

Darnit, I just made a second account to disprove the "I'm not Iconic see we're both logged in at once" argument. Eh, I'm sure I'll find some use for it.

Edel, if I recall you weren't there for Overlording. And do you have to insult everyone else's games and creativity? "Oh it's just a copy of Dungeoneering." Give me a frickin' list of the games you've made and I'll read them aloud. I'm very annoyed right now for various reasons, and I don't need you discouraging me from trying something that might make other people happy. Y'know, other people? Those insignificant ants you so enjoy turning your magnifying glass towards?

The Back Room
I have my new game, my thought process for it is almost complete. All I still need are some legitimate ideas for the ecosystem. I'm going to group the players together in the same place, as that seems to be the recipe for a good start. Does anyone want magic in the game and, if so, what? I'm thinking of including a form of geomancy and a kind of adaptable but dangerous transmogrification. The first is weak, and second is like a berserk power of a sort, something a sane person would only use if you were about to die otherwise. Regardless, there will probably not be any fire, light, or electricity magics under any normal circumstance. The world is dark, and it will stay that way. Healing may or may not be allowed, as it will mean you don't have to worry about consequences in combat. I'm also thinking that a system of lives might be interesting, but aside from that I might institute penalties based on the cause of death. In either case you would run into problems if something completely destroyed your body, like being engulfed by magma or eaten alive.

Fire, of course. And I already said; NPC party with a Rogue as leader and Engineer as the other party member.
-
The Great Unknown
My own, yes. I'll have the Rogue be the leader.
-
The Great Unknown
Pfft. I'll be a mage, taking a rogue and engineer with me. Engineer should have blacksmithing, mining, and mechanics.
-
Delta V
I can do that already. All I need is a pebble, some machinery, and an elderly citizen.

Delta V
"Turn Missile" Hm, that should be in the Kademi cleric's spellbook! :)

Dwarf fortress
Wow, sad. Tried playing as a Silver Xelic adventurer. First time I kicked arse with an axe and three shields, but the game crashed when I was no longer able to stand and was starving/dying of thirst. Second time I started with a pike. I got ripped apart by a child. Third time I gave myself dagger profiency and got mobbed by a whole village. Dangit, I guess I'll try swords.

Dwarf fortress
This seems strangely empty. Is noone on Tip.it interested in games like this? Seriously, all you folks out there should give it a try. Maybe make a Runescape mod. ;)

Came up with a name: Gallionic Armisonant Betwixt Stone and Stone Eh? Eh? Pretty good, right?

Ask The Staff!
Hey, don't forget my answer! Anywho, I'd probably like to ask a few questions, but that one list just a bit back is too awesome to postpone with whatever I might have to say. I'll give the mods time to answer the other questions first.

Ask The Staff!
Racheya does. ;)

The Back Room
On a similar note, I want to make a game. One with more personable NPCs, a world different from any we've had, and with interesting creatures. My biggest problem right now is how resources might be obtained in a world with almost no light, and whether or not there should be a magic system. Thoughts? Questions? Anything you have to say regarding this helps me cement and expand the idea.

BC-304
I see if I can use the Atrux to light any foliage aflame.
-
The Great Unknown
I'd be on Ross' team. I think it would be good to have a craftsman, that should probably be Ross unless he'd rather be something else.
-
BC-304
Howabout Atrux? I attempt to fight it hand to hand, using the blowtorch.
-
BC-304
I look for something that can catch fire, perhaps an animal.

BC-304
Heh. The Daedalus checks what apps he has on the suit. If he finds a firelighter, he uses it to ignite the nearest foliage and then stays away from the flame, watching it's progress.
