Ah. Thought so. There was text about it somewhere in the website. Easter egg!

Well, what I would do is describe a building to you and have you give your opinion. And I don't think I could do crud with building designers. Also, who's Luke?

Sincerely, Juliet
Doh... can't believe I missed the text under the title. Can you explain the notes?

Pah. Well, I think it would be easier with a different system for developments. It just doesn't mean anything to me when I look at it. I would be more comfortable if I could tell you how grand of a church I want, how intimidating a turret array, how epic a monument. Thinking about it, it's not the individual statistics that bother me as much as the method of presentation. I want to feel like I'm ruling an empire, not a series of coloured dots arranged in the most convenient matter. And for that, I need to have my own description behind the visual incarnation. I know it's asking more of you, but if you could just tell me how big what I want would have to be...

Jungle camo, jungle landing. 304 Daedalus. I want an improvised mass driver, or just mad throwing skills.

Pfft, free periods. Those would be cool. We have lunch, where you're limited to the cafeteria and quad unless you have a legitimate errand, and study halls which I have not had yet. I think it gets more lenient at higher grades though, as Seniors you get to leave campus after the first few weeks. Also, apparently if you're illegally absent (maybe even if you're just tardy, I don't know) to a certain number of classes they revoke the "privilege" of being able to drive to school. Thus making the problem even worse. I've been forced to conclude that on a non-individual level school administration is so stupid that, had they a human personification, he or she would be held back in ninth grade for seven years.

Can't we have one little part of one damned stupid strategy game be static and predictable? I mean, the system sucks for me, though I don't know about the others. We have 100,000 pixels to fill, give or take a "reasonable" amount of roads, to fill with "reasonable" numbers of different coloured dots that give any bonus deemed "reasonable." At least go with the farms, just give them a number of people to feed and maybe a trade value for goods they produce. What I said was that if someone wasn't fed by the farms then food costs would be subtracted from the budget (obviously this wouldn't matter in small numbers). You could also have the farms work on better cash and food crops which would get better in their respective areas with time, until a certain limit. Meh, still not gonna work I guess. We Tavernians are too stupid in the ways of sense.

Why? You have no Study Hall? And I thought Allison said you were trying for a lunch. [insert snide comment about not spending time with Lidya here.] [Oh wait, you probably have a class with her, and does she even have a lunch period?]

The problem is, Archi, that I have issues with potential values. If all I have to go on is what use something might have then I will instead focus on tangible, mundane benefits rather than those of dubious value should they be used at all. This will inevitably lead to massive problems on my part as I lose capabilities possessed by my fellow players because I exclude the processes necessary for such activities. A donkey could understand my system, not to mention anyone here who has ever played a retail strategy game. I see no faults.

No kidding! This'll be awesome! I loved Allison's lunchtime ultimatum; "Well, we like it out here," (her, Sarah, Elie and I were sitting under a tree in the "Quad" which is like a kind of courtyard) "So you can either stay in there or come out here with us." Suddenly we have about twenty students eating their lunches in the shade of the tree with Allison and I perched atop the roots laughing. I'd forgotten how big the theater table was back in the Middle School cafeteria. Also, try for a fourth period lunch Techy. That's when Allison, Sarah and I have our lunches, and probably a fair few of your other friends as well (Not to mention "George" Emily has lunch sixth period, huzzah! One more bullet matrix'd!).

Most buildings just effect any specific random event. Elsewise: Garrisons allow you to deploy troops. Houses give you a population to work with. Jobs yield resources, which can then be spent. Spaceports harvest orbital resources. And not especially. Also, I need your homeworld. How about: Spaceports harvest up to a certain number of orbital resources at a time, like 500 Labs decrease the chance of extended research and increase the chance of accelerated breakthroughs by 0.001% per pixel, but can only effect one project at a time Farms feed 100 (?) civilians or 50 (?) resident soldiers each with a chance for famine or a bigger crop, without farms food costs are subtracted from your budget Shield Generators protect (to an extent) a certain number of designated or random pixals on their development, depending on available power Turrets, depending on power, have a certain chance to shoot down certain ship classes with a limit on how many they can shoot down in one turn Police Stations would decrease dissent, give a small defense bonus, and increase militia strength Training increases troop quality and commander intelligence, discipline, and loyalty Power Plants, depending on their type and prior research, supply a certain amount of power which all or most pixels consume Fire Departments would decrease all general infrastructure damage (anything that was caused by a random event or untargeted enemy attacks/carpetbombing) Drone Platforms are used in deploying all unmanned terrestrial vehicles, and drone weapons that are more expensive and effective than Turrets Airfields are used in deploying all manned terrestrial air vehicles Churches increase happiness and the chance and effectiveness of non-offensive miracles (major harvests outside the normal chance, enemy weapon malfunctions, etc.) I would also suggest: Depots are used in deploying all manned terrestrial ground vehicles Planet Creighton, Gamma Navis.

What do they do, generally? Also, don't my people spend most of their time underground, except on the home planet? Does that have any effect on non-homeworld developments? He's bringing memes ba-ack... God, I hate songs like that, but I've been playing too much DDR.

HOLY [cabbage]! xD I was playing DDR on my Wii just now, going through all the songs I haven't done yet with the intent to burn a few hundred calories (just to see if I could), not really paying attention to the song names or music. So, a few songs after I start this music kicks in and I go "hey, this sounds kinda familiar." Then a guys face pops up on the screen, and I fall off the dance mat laughing. The song was Never Gonna Give You Up. The man was Rick Astley. I had just Rick Rolled myself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUv5iL631Sg

Good, so long as you take things in moderation. Y'know what they say about too much of a good thing. Let's see... I had "loaded" French fries (they have cheese and bacon bits on top), a corn dog, twice-fried Belgian French fries (redundancy and a contradiction, all in one bite!), a "blooming onion" (giant whole onion chopped into countless French fry-like pieces and then deep fried), and finally the only mozzerella sticks I have ever enjoyed. I also had two large cups of lemonade, a cup of orangeade, a small cup of very good and cheap chocolate milk, and a sip of "cherry wine" root beer-style soda that tasted very strongly of cough syrup. Or, if my mom is to be believed, port-a-john deordorizer.

Archi, just FYI the Shardcore is a general model. Only one Shardcore in a clustership needs to have the uplink, and the blue/gray/purple are weapons systems that may or may not be fitted onto pre-made Shards. Hrm, thanks for assigning a cost, that will make it easier to compare in size to other ship classes.

Suggestions and the like.
Yeah... I think it's a bit deeper than that Dungeon. If that were true, I'd be one of the more respected people in my school and Hex might be the Tavern moderator. Of course, I suppose neither of us intentionally provoke hate...
