Sure it will work, but you can make the following upgrades. Sell DFS and use a dragon defender. Get a rapier. Get a zerker ring. Get a fury. Use veracs skirt and guthans top. Upgrade those to bandos top and bottom when you can. Use a soul wars cape. Peity/turm everything, prayer potions are super cheap. Don't argue about selling DFS by the way, just sell it and swap it for zerker, fury, veracs and guthans. Stew to get extreme attacks and extreme strengths if you aren't already. Also make and use some super antifires. Edit: Oh yes, barrows gloves are also very important.

I love a maul for TDS, WFS and castle wars/safe pvp. Oh, and I bring it to bork for funsies.
-
Farm herbs, toadflax or snapdragons, while questing then. Blood Runs Deep is awesome because the massive exp it gives can go onto prayer. WGS is awesome because the massive exp it gives can go onto prayer or herb. If you still are 50 points short of WGS then I'm sure there are a ton of quests out there you would really benefit from using. I'm gonna A Log stalk you and I'll edit this post with some quests you could do that would help you.

I suggest TDS. You will get good charms, effigies for herb and summoning, money for prayer AND you don't need any of those to do well at TDS. If you want a break then just farm herbs while doing dung. For MHing you will want rapier for sure and others depending on what you want to hunt. Edit: If you really get into TDS then I can tell you maul + rigor + ccbow own there. Elite void too. Edit2: If you want to boss hunt asap TDS really are best. Bandos is increadibly competative ans [cabbage]ty cash outside soloing. Right now the best moneymakers are frost dragons, tds, tribrid/2.5brid dks, and of course nex. Edit3: If you've never been TDS pm me ingame and I'll take you. I'm busy at the moment but when I'm online I'll definatly come unless I'm in a dung or something.

Except for that many player there are lots of "known facts" that are not as well known for other players. Please make policy and rule additions as well to go with this thread. Allow it to grow.

Use it whenever you can. At least if you care about efficiency.

NO LOCK PLEASE I LOVE THIS THREAD!

Hey Obt, I hope I'm not that 91 dunger that you mentioned in your /rant. Apologies if I was.

By that logic young people and students shouldn't have a vote simply because they have not had the chance to contribute. Or people who are on benefits/unemployed for genuine reasons (not tht lay abouts/benefit cheats) shouldnt vote simply because of misfortune in thier lives. Young people will get their chance later in life.
-
Not all people should have the same rights. I find it ridiculous that some scum, contributing nothing to society, fried in the head from years of meth, has the same voting power as I do. People should have voting power based on their contributions to society.

A lot of bots crash because of new item IDs and can't simply just log back in. If logging out is so good at pwning bots, why doesn't jagex just make random events log players out. It's not the fact that they are logged out so much as that there is new code added to the game.

Quyneax has already posted there saying that topic posts were not removed because neither side provided concrete proof that their claim was right. It was just assumed that everyone knew why one side was right. This is an issue we're looking into and (I believe this was suggested in the topic) the moderating team is currently considering the idea of having an organized fact sticky in that forum so that a fact can be stated and then a link to the sticky could be provided for evidence. This is why it's so important to have mods who understand the game moderating the forum. We should not have to waste time proving that a rapier has better DPS than magic on a stab weak dragon- it's common sense. The burden of proof needs to be on the claim that is patently ridiculous. The funny part is that Quyneax KNOWS that the magic idea was crap and still decided to play dumb and require evidence. Mods shouldn't be playing dumb on the metagame forum of all places. As it is now it's help and advice 2.0, and I have 0 motivation to post there. It's a cesspool. Given that we are expected to prove just about everything in Metagaming now, perhaps it would be helpful if there were some sort of "burden of proof" clause in the metagaming rules. This way, it is up to the person with the ridiculous claim to prove it and not up to the person who is advocating standard knowledge. This would clean that forum up a little bit. But yeah, I agree with Green. Metagaming has really deteriorated into another H&A for a number of reasons. Lack of mods and unclear rules are just two of them.

If you wouldn't mind, would you also show us the email you sent to them as well as their reply. Framing effect and all you know.

Monday is almost over, at last the work day down at Jagex HQ is. (Unless I've derped) I'm really curious as to where this email that we have all been waiting for is.

Feedback: Bot Threads in General Discussion
Nifflin replied to tripsis's topic in Announcements, Rules and Security Warnings!
Need to get rid of all of them, they are a leech on actual meaningful discussion. What purpose do bot threads serve. Sticky in rants. -
Your siggy blows my mind, can I ask who made it?
-
Mining ivy?

I prefer the term refocused. Anyways, this is a thread for feedback and I don't think you represent the opinions of every last staff member so I will continue hoping that other people continue to read my concerns and maybe action is taken.
-
Well thank god you are one of fifty or so mods, not counting admins and crew. Maybe someone else feels differently.
-
Well I think it's a problem then that being an awesome mod and having super conflict resolution skills on the OT board makes you qualified to have mod powers on a board like metagaming or H&A.
-
Please justify this taking into consideration content heavy boards such as metagaming and H&A. Edit: Y_Guy, I understand this may apply for you, but not all mods are as sensible as you are. Wouldn't it be a good idea to recruit more mods who are in touch with current, high-level content and have them focus on content while other mods who know less about those things can focus in other areas. I mean to put an actual official policy in place to stop certain mods (derp) from posting on boards such as metagaming while at the same time getting more manpower to moderate those boards? We try to, but once again we aren't going to make people mods who aren't suitable to be moderators. And there will never be an official policy put in place to stop certain mods from posting, we're not going to tell our staff members they aren't good enough to do something. It's up to their discretion. But yeah, we are always looking for moderators who are able to both moderate according to the rules and have a good understanding of high level RS content. I'm not suggesting you stop them from posting. I think you should just only allow people to have mod powers on certain boards where they have the relevant expertise. Why is it so impossible for you to tell staff they can't do something?

I'm going off experience okay? So obviously if others and myself feel that this is a problem, the current systems in place are not working. I'm sorry if this is sounding harsh, I hope some more reasonable people on the staff will read my posts. Edit: Sorry Y_Guy, I hadn't seen your post.

Doesn't matter, even active ingame mods often won't know much about engame activities if they have low ingame levels. Edit: I'm a user on these forums, I've tried to be civil as much as possible. Please avoid lying to me. I know that not all mods are always sure to consult before taking action. That is false.

I'm just pointing out that if mods were more... focused... then the few mods who actually understand the current metagame would be able to better focus their expertise into the areas they are most needed in. From what I've heard via Kimberly, the majority of TIF mods are retired. I'm just suggesting that retired mods who don't understand current content shouldn't take action on said content as mods. There is no way a retired mod could tell trolling from non-trolling on a number of topics. I mean, can you honestly tell me Rach that you could adequatly tell the difference between trolling/flaming versus constructive criticism versus someone who is just being a bit negative but whose posts are 100% correct on a thread about Nexing strategies? Or even any higher leveled discussion. Edit: I'm just saying I would love to see a framework for restricting mods to their areas of expertise.
