It's 8m because it's the best and funnest weapon. Godswords in general kick ass with their high hits. I mean, there is a reason that dark bow is better then say.. rune knives. It's because high hits are much funner then speed. Same with this, godswords are much funner then a whip and therefore the very best weapon at LRC. Accept no substitute (except maybe barrelchest anchor)

It speeds up later, if you want to help as much as possible use peng points and tokens on dung. That being said I see two problems with your plan; A) Frosties aren't as good anymore now that there are over 9000 bots at them. B) DGS doesn't want people who are just riding them to get to a goal.

Well you lose the option to use a tort/yak. My point still stands that smithing isn't one of the skills that is equal in members and f2p.

I doubt that zammy book will go down, there is massive demand for it. I mean it has been rising when most other items have been falling, that kinda says something about the level of demand there is for it.

Trimmed skillcape is better then classic cape. Easy to get as well. That character could be decent at mage boxing. You would need 99 defense, 99 mage, 99 hp and ancient magic.

I would say that, but the Zamorak book is more than ten times as expensive. Totally not worth it since you could easily just specialise and get bandos, armadyl and zaros books for 5-6M alltogether. Zamorak book is 20M. Apart from that, the money isn't wasted as you still have a cool item with some defensive bonuses, great for outfits and indeed preaching! :) . All of those books are sub-par compared to the zammy book. And when you finally tired of having a second rate item you'll have to shell out the money for a zammy book then, and the other book will sit in your bank with the money essentially being wasted. Besides you don't need the pages for your other books if you just want the look. No need to buy the pages. That's exactly the point I wanted to make. The day you decide to upgrade from the subpar item to the best item you will lose the money you invested in the other books simply because they are untradable. Suck it up, grind out the cash (it isn't that much) and get zammy book if you are THAT serious about it. But like Enaid pointed out earlier, if you are truly serious about range slaying then just use Karils xbow. That is really the best advice. The only place that I can think of where the book is still the best is chinning. (apologies for drunken post)

Took another look at your original question. If you need range exp then just powerslay with a cannon, you should get very good range exp without actually using range primarily. You could even optimize your tasklist to skip/block non-cannon tasks.

In the rare cases when you would use a combat familiar I suggest your best titan. Rune mino isn't anything too special.

There is no good use for FOG tokens. Ahrims is more efficient then battle robes for all magic and the other rewards aren't worth the time.
