  1. You could even try bursting, don't know if you are there yet but the crims are really nice. If you want money try killing metal drags long term, you will almost break even. Also barrows is OK for fun but extremely slow exp.
  2. I was at the furnace today checking it out and apparently you can break even bringing coal and mithril and making mithril bolts (unf). Does anyone have experience here and can anyone tell me how viable/time consuming this method is versus other methods of training smithing?
  3. It isn't about wether tip it has platinum or not. It's about why we were ranked below rhq and sals from the beginning. Exactly, this is a direct snub and I think I speak for everyone when I say that I would like the know why its happening. Page 6, please. Ok, so it is because we had adverts for other games? A bit hypocritical, maybe I should start taking screenshots of the ads F2P have to watch. In the end the whole ads deal isn't what matters. I feel like there has to be more to it then what ads this site has. The way I see it is that Rune HQ used to support RWT in their ads and now they are a "platinum" fansite however Tip.It always respected Jagex rules to a greater extent then any other site and now we are gold. For heavens sake Rune HQ has videos for other games on their website right now. I'm not attacking Rune HQ I just want to use it as an example of what Jagex is accepting over Tip.It. Even if the ads are all there is too this whole deal then if you ask me Jagex is making too big a deal out of it by snubbing Tip.It like this. It is as though they are asserting their dominance through this ranking system or something.

  5. If you ask me, its ok to make a lot of gee pees if the person is sacrificing potential exp.
  6. New reply from Mod Hohbein on RSOF So basically, if we kiss up enough we can become platinum? Ouch.
  7. Gosh, i remember the days when there would be two or three gold selling adds on every Rune HQ page. That is why I stopped using it. Oh well, I think this serves as a pretty good indicator of how much Jamflegx knows about the Runescape community.
  8. I read up about the case. Holy smokes Evony is crooked, makes you appreciate Jaflex a bit more when you compare them to these people.
  9. Mobilizing Armies was also the first venture into a new idea that has never been tried before on this engine, so there are bound to be a lot of flaws. A large percentage of first-generation electronics break, almost all new technologies are riddled to the point of not being viable, and no MMO has had a decent launch. The firsts of everything are riddled with problems, but they pave the way for bigger and better things. Wonderful then that our money is being used to develop something which, as you then agree with me, is likely to do poorly as it is something that has never been done before. I have yet to see what bigger and better things MA has paved the way for, honestly, I can say that I am afraid to see them. Essentially it looks like we agree that the new skill is likely to not be very good. The difference is you think its ok because the skill is a new concept. I don't understand how this is true, I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that the first skill in two years should not be something to "pave the way for bigger and better things."
  10. why not do both? Probably will, either way I would like to know the street price of the robes so I can know how many wergali unf I need to farm on top of my onyx.
  11. Now what other "awesome" update was sold like this? Mobilization armies anyone? No, pretty sure mobilizing armies wasn't advertised as meant to be its own game. Good try though, you really had me at the part where you couldn't even name the mini-game correctly. You're right, it IS unprofessional to make spelling errors on an online forum about a game. I hope you feel very validated now that everyone knows that you can pick out every last spelling error in a post. OT: Mobilizing Armies was hyped up as bringing RTS style game play to an MMORPG. Something totally different from what had been done before. In my opinion this is similar to the new skill which is also supposed to be something which has never been to before. However Mobilizing Armies failed and if the new skill fails I am sure there will be many, many more unhappy. I just hope any single update isn't the justification for the crappyness of the other updates.

  13. I want some battle robes. I am halfway to an uncut onyx so I could get that. An alternative would be making wergali unf potions. Currently what is the street price of the battle robes set? Would it be better to just camp the rest of the onyx or farm wergali unf pots?
  14. I think the thing about the second article is this. We all miss those days a lot, many aspects of the game were more community based, specialization made the game less monotonous. However, it would certainly be a pain in the rear to go back. I doubt anyone would. What would be interesting is if higher level items were released that could not be traded over the GE, just person to person. Maybe this would bring back the specialized skill feeling to an extent. The only problem would be trade limits and I don't know how putting this into place would work. The point about the bosses is right on. Perhaps they could implement something where the first melee person on a team does 100% damage, the second 90%, the third 80% and so on with the same for range and mage so that it would be preferable to have for example two melee, two range and a mage at a Bandos trip over simply five melee. Great articles :D Thanks guys!
  15. I wouldn't say so. Hooks have been decreasing in value recently, as have wergali(unf) and pawya meat. As far as I know, onyxes haven't declined yet. Not long ago, it would cost 30k to buy a single wergali(unf) pot. Now, it costs about 10k. The hooks are only worth half of what they used to be worth not long ago... So it would not be worth it to trade an onyx for Wergali unf to train herblore with?
  16. How many Wergali unf could I get for a hook? Would it be worthwhile to train herblore with wergali unf potions? Are the street prices of these items stable? Thanks :)

  18. Basically, the limited use of willows and the massive amount f2p brings into the game coupled with the removal of willows price floors mean that they have finally dropped to a very low price. Massive supply and little demand so prices drop, and drop, and drop, and drop. What the removal of the price floor demonstrates is the influence Jagex has on prices. Many items have reached their ceilings or floors. Jagex has massive potential to influence prices by removing the floors and ceilings in place at the GE.
  19. This is a really good idea, I hope someone will bring this idea to jagex' attention. Please, no. Apart from the resources this would take, it would bring us back to the "you can only do that on a members world" era for f2p. I doubt anyone wants that.

  21. This. It will kill two birds with one stone. Something needs to be done with these bosses, currently they are decent features but are outstripped by everything else. KQ, CE, KBD and the Mole need modern drop tables which correspond with the difficulty in killing them.
  22. Thanks guys, I am moving towards not doing the quest, currently the +1 is actually a decent bonus in f2p as the max bonuses are lower. If i do get it, it will be for this reason. However it does seem like it would be really annoying to get the mask back every time I die.
  23. I was wondering if someone experienced in f2p pures could help me. Is the new quest Blood Pact worth doing on a one defense pure? It will raise my def to level two but I will get the new training spot which sounds good as well as the mask which gives offensive bonuses. Can someone help? Will level two defense hurt me when I pk in f2p?
