Dungeoneering
Thanks all! Good advice I used to have bloods bound, but I switched them out for sag arrows because I never used bloods, but now I will bind laws. And I have not seen a hood drop yet, but I will look out for one.

Dungeoneering
What is a good dungeoneering strategy? Right now mine is: -Floors 1-24 c1 small rush -Floors 25+ 5:5 large Is there a better method? Also, what items are good to bind? I have a platebody and 2h and as my ammo, sag arrows (which serve no purpose). Would it be better to bind, say, cosmic runes? Finally, I have heard that World 77 is for high-leveled dungeoneers. If I were to obtain a high enough level, would level would this be, and how would I find a w77 team? (I have heard about a chat for finding w77 teams but don't know what it is, and is there a clan chat for world 117 as well?) (P.S. My dungeoneering level is 67 and rising)

Is RuneScape filling a void?
First of all, you have obviously tried to appear to be intelligent by stating that you have discovered a more mentally stimulating hobby than Runescape. You have failed because your post is extremely poorly written, you foolishly used blue underscores to indent your paragraphs, and you made a conspicuous typo in the second line. Let us consider the content of your post beyond the awkward syntax. You have denounced Runescape as a waste of time; however, the point of playing a 'game' is to have fun, not to engage in profound philosophical discussion. Therefore, by playing Runescape, we are indeed accomplishing worthwhile: entertainment. This can be beneficial after a spending the day at school or the office. Next, you reveal that your pastime of choice is reading books, explaining that doing so causes you to feel "very accomplished and fulfilled." Do you also feel accomplished after you successfully put your shoes on the right feet? We can all read books, and most of us probably do so on a regular basis in addition to playing Runescape. Just because you read Harry Potter and Green Eggs and Ham instead of playing computer games doesn't mean that you live a more wholesome life than any of us. Reading books may be enjoyable for you, but you have nothing to brag about. You criticize us for "clicking on pixels," yet you fail to realize that much of modern life involves using a computer. Finally, you argue that "enriching your knowledge" is more fulfilling than playing computer games. However, nonfiction books hold almost no educational value unless they contain insightful themes or advanced vocabulary, which I am assuming your storybooks lack. So I leave you with a question: What are YOU doing?

Timewise, is it worth it to train with the Master Penance Horn?
If you're combat 100+ (or have good defense and constitution levels with good armor) and have at least one level 5 role (not attacker if you're below combat 100), you should be able to form a pro team fairly easily which should make it worthwhile to use the master horn for any skill so you don't "burn" yourself out in firemaking (haha) But if you don't enjoy barbarian assault or are not very good at it (or your teammates are not very good), stick to just training normally I guess. Your choice EDIT: If you know how the game works, you should be able to perform nearly as well as a level 5 even if you are not completely leveled, but people may be reluctant to sign you to anything besides attacker

29-Sep-2010 - Guaranteed Content Poll: Dragon Scimitar Redesign
I've gotten used to all of the graphical changes except for the dragon scimitar; the old version was by far my favorite, and d looks pretty similar to a normal scimitar, so I voted d. Seems like b is winning though

1,500 - done. 1,800 or 2,000?
The 1,500 world has been successful in creating topics like these... A 1,800 world would be great, but I guess I'm a bit biased. Also, I would like to see a world where people who play Barbarian Assault just for the torso and don't actually know how to play can go fail

Big Brother Is Watching
The 'stickler' would be whatever Jagex employee muted you, not me.

Big Brother Is Watching
Well, you know how it goes: the class clown says something stupid to make people laugh, half the class laughs, and the jokester gets reprimanded. Times haven't changed

Big Brother Is Watching
It sure wouldn't have made me chuckle, and I laugh at just about everything. By your standards, saying "I have a full diaper" would be a 'worthwhile message' because while some people would be disgusted by the speaker's immaturity, a select few would find it somewhat funny From a business standpoint, they probably care to some extent about creating a good player-to-company relationship, but ultimately they have to turn a profit. Now this is a calculated risk; even if the OP in this case was "wrongly muted," no one will listen to his argument because he was in fact foolish for negotiating with a scammer. Jagex has erroneously banned players before, but then unbanned them and given them free membership as a result. In my eyes, they have made some mistakes in the past (and will probably continue to make them), but bad PR is not one of my concerns.
-
Big Brother Is Watching
Maybe you are idiotic  I'm not "hiding" behind anything, and neither you nor the OP has said anything to prove me wrong (not that I'm necessarily always right, but you haven't proven otherwise; all you've done is called me "idiotic" as if that nullified all of my arguments) Obviously, no discussion was taking place. The scammer was not out to make small talk; he was out to steal accounts and get people banned. The OP wasn't actually discussing anything with the scammer either, as the scammer was blatantly ignoring his requests to leave him alone. Perhaps you are so desperate to talk to people that you have forgotten what a 'discussion' is The only way the scammer's day was brightened was that he successfully caused someone to be muted. Apparently the OP's day wasn't brightened because he came to cry about it on the forums. My day (and a numbers of other posters') days weren't brightened, because we saw the whole debacle as sheer stupidity. Perhaps your day was brightened because you lead an exceptionally dim life... Jagex is a business, and whoever works there must have figured out that it costs them less to have naive players cancel their membership than hiring a PR worker and paying him a salary Anyway, I'm not exactly sure that you've been reading all of my posts, seeing as how you could only formulate a rather weak argument against a single snippet of one of my posts (and seeing how poorly thought out your argument was, it is likely you wouldn't be able to assemble a coherent reply to a whole post)

Big Brother Is Watching
Have you not learned? Your sarcasm just won you a 2 week mute, and yet you continue to pile it on? First of all, you weren't "mocking" the scammer, you were password scamming, there was never a time where you could password scam and get away with it. Sir_Kurity explains this pretty well: Secondly, the point of the appeal is to issue an apology! Telling Jagex that they made a mistake in wrongly banning you isn't going to help; Jagex never admits mistakes. **you're If your opinion is that you were wrongly banned or that Jagex spends less time than before considering bans or reviewing appeals or anything in that vein, then your opinion is an incorrect one based on poor non-existant evidence (unless, of course, you are speaking from having an appeal from a previous ban granted, in which case Jagex probably just muted you because you are a repeat offender)

Big Brother Is Watching
He's right tbh...you simply could have ignored him, instead you got involved, and now you pay for it. It's not just me who thinks you made a mistake, so if you won't listen to me or anyone else, who will you listen to? To be honest, there's not much substance there for me to 'wrap my head around'. How long does it take to figure out calling his bluff isn't making him go away? 5 minutes? 10 minutes? 15 minutes?! Why didn't you just PUT HIM ON IGNORE to begin with?! Would it have given you satisfaction if he had actually gone away? I never curse (and am as morally adjusted as a line is straight), and also enjoy intellectual discussions. The key word here, you see, is intellectual. I usually try to avoid ignoramuses online (although sometimes not because I value a good debate). The question here is, do you really consider your 'conversation' with the hacker to be valuable 'player-to-player interaction'? They just skimmed a word or two. The point of an appeal is to offer an apology, otherwise your appeal will most likely fail. This is JAGEX we are talking about. Go cry about it Your post had about as much of a point as this pencil does: Seems to me like you would rather have in-game discussions with scamming hackers

Big Brother Is Watching
Are you joking? "Putting someone on ignore and then reporting them is just not me?" I understand why you may think the 131 may have been hacked (in that case, don't omit that information to make yourself seem like a gullible fool) but I see no conceivable reason why you wouldn't, at the very least, place the person on your ignore list at least temporarily. And you said you're not the type to go out of your way to get people banned? Going "out of your way" would be scouring the span of Runescape 24/7 to find botters and spammers and reporting them in hopes of becoming a p-mod. Reporting people who pretty much fall right into your lap is not "going out of your way." Is Jagex made up of a bunch of robots? It's called skimming abuse reports, and looking for key words such as "password" and "give me," both of which you used. Believe it or not, Jagex values their time more than they care about muting a sarcastic kid who (unlike the 131) has problems with using the abuse report form. Yes, I quoted that again because it proves you have nearly no common sense (here I am assuming you are not wearing your pants on your head.) If you believed the 131 was hacked, then what made you think "shooing him away" would actually work? As if someone 'ruthless' enough to hack a Runescape account would be nice enough to leave at your request. (And if the 131 wasn't being hacked, then he would be too thickheaded to respect such a request anyway) But remember, you wouldn't have had to shoo the person away had you just used the report form, or even the simple IGNORE LIST. Enjoy your mute

Big Brother Is Watching
What did you expect? You made two pretty obvious mistakes: 1) Listened to a babbling simpleton for 15 minutes 2) Used the words 'give me' and 'password' in the same sentence If you had a shred of common sense, you would have placed the person on your ignore list, reported him, and gotten on with your life. Why anyone would endure 15 minutes of idiocy is beyond me. And what makes you think Jagex can understand sarcasm? This "individual" wasn't out for your account; he was out to get you banned, and he almost succeeded. You should be glad that Jagex is so desperate for your $5 a month that they only muted you.
