Why female players are underepresented in RuneScape?
Maybe you're taking your sample from an "intellectually unmotivated" group of guys

Why female players are underepresented in RuneScape?
I beg to differ. Me too; not all male players are drooling simpletons that find pleasure in smashing things. Anyway, perhaps the reason that you see more girls playing non-combat related activities is because you tend to look for them there more than anywhere else. I've noticed female players playing everywhere, and seen as many female "combat thugs" as I have skillers. However, I never saw a majority of females at any location (be it GOP or a slayer task), and I'm sure I would have if there were indeed fewer males than females. Again, the reason why you notice more female player mods than male mods is because the only way to notice a mod is by the crown in chat, and female player mods would be more likely to talk than males because they have to convince others that they are indeed female and reject the numerous date requests that they receive from 40-year-old stalkers. I can only remember seeing 3 female player mods, and in 2 of those instances they were being mobbed by creepy boys. I've seen plenty of male player mods, usually talking with a group of friends in the Rogues' Den or at some other gathering location

An Elitist's View on Crashing
Tbh, I thought the reason for increasing your stat total or purchasing high-end armor was to show your experience in playing the game so that others might come to you for advice or respect you for your pixelated prowess (as silly as that sounds), not to drive others away so you can live in solitary "satisfaction." By your method, the only friends that you are making (I am assuming you have some) are ones of your skill level and mindset, forming a sort of enmity-attracting group that tries too hard to prove their superiority over others. But if that really makes you happy, go for it  Nothing personal, as I can't remember a time I have been crashed, and don't really think I'd care if I had been, but your way of thinking resembles that of a sociopath

RuneFest Tickets Sold Out & Venue Location
Well, come on. If they had Runefest a few blocks away from you, all the London people would rage. The only solution would be to have it on Antarctica, where everyone would be mad (albeit not equally mad) FYI, I'm not going

Blizzard to require real names for forums
It would only take one crazy psychotic morron to make you wish you had hidden... in a bomb proof building. Yes, and someone with a grudge against, say, BLIZZARD, may decide to "prove" why putting out personal info was a bad idea...

Best names you've seen on runescape?
My name means "Legends" in Spanish with the s replaced by a z... I have seen Gamecube a long time ago and American, who I see regularly when making farming runs

Behind the Scenes - July
Not necessarily; they may add "decorative" untradable trail rewards that look hideous However, I have to say I am excited at the prospect of Dungeoneering becoming an actual skill (maybe more so than the actual content of the dungeons). But will it be enough to cover up the boots update? To be honest, the thing I'm most waiting for is the way the dragon defender is integrated into the game (will it have a "special attack" similar to the dfs?)

Merch Clans
Oh man! Merch clans are a menace!!  They threaten our existence on a daily basis! Yes, they are annoying (mainly the advertisers), but they can't really be stopped for buying an item :| ... Now spamming "Smokin' Mils' will get you rich!!1!" in chat effects when you're just as likely to lose money because of them is a different story

Best way to junk trade?
Best thing I have to lend is whip, and I'm actively using it :| I'm buying cheese right now, but I can only get as much junk as I have money with that method

Best way to junk trade?
I need some junk for a trade. How can I obtain some without losing money? I was thinking of buying cheese, but don't know what to make it into to get my money back. Or is there a better way for me to sell an onyx without using junk?

Where's the filter?
Unfortunately, the Runescape filter is easily bypassed in-game as well, by placing an apostrophe ' in front of curse words, or by combining words. I have to admit that it does bother me, considering completely innocent things (like smileys) are censored

Tokkul
Can tokkul be effectively spent on obsidian shields, or is it only worth it to save up for the onyx?

14th June 2010 - Guaranteed Content Poll: Halloween 2010 Reward
The pumpkin seeds would likely function similarly to the also F2P marker seeds, but they would still be my second choice

Law running?
Do people still run laws back and forth from Entrana? (or in other words, at 54 rc, could I stand there and gain decent xp?)

farming record?
It clearly says he averaged 15-18 for 3 weeks, not just one run... BUT WAIT! Later he says: So if we take all he says to be true, then this must mean he is a verrry inefficient farmer and only did a single patch in 3 weeks (hey, some people are slow), and happened to get between 15 and 18 herbs from it. This must be true, because he boasts unquestionable credibility:  Meanwhile, back at the farm... My records are 11 from a ranarr plant and 13 from an avantoe (I use supercompost but not magic secateurs) Also, I have noticed that I definitely average more avantoes per plant than ranarrs per plant, so either I'm just getting lucky with avantoes (not 15-18 herbs each plant for three weeks, mind you ;)) or higher level herbs tend to yield a larger harvest EDIT: After slogging through some more Paw Claw I discovered: Firstly, shoddy counting method at work... ...but it is entirely possible that he either added extra ppots to his bank from different sources or began with more than he thought he did (or worked it out incorrectly, which is highly possible)

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
Runescape is full of morons. Best thing to do is put them on ignore and let them waste their tokens on the longsword

falconry botters
Rules say otherwise So you can't understand why Runescape is a good game, but play it anyway? Why would you even want to play at all? :shame: :wall: :x

exactly my point. You summed up why people bot right there. Because a skill like firemaking that is about as much fun as watching paint dry, is sometimes required to enjoy another aspect of the game. Thats why im saying Jagex needs to add FUN ways to train if they want less bots. Yes you will always have efficiencywhores and some willing to break the rules, but their in my opinion at least the minority not the majority. :?: I thought the point was that botting is wrong, even if training is boring No the point is, that botting -while against the rules- shows a failure on Jagex's part to create fun ways to play the game. No matter how fun a game is, you will find people botting to create accounts to sell- falconry botters

To be honest, I think firemaking is about as fun as studying for a test. In most things I do, I find the slightest bit of fun in them; while studying for a history test, for instance, you might come across a widely referenced event and wish to learn more about it. I don't think anyone really goes Oh boy! Firemaking time! All right!! . They do it for the purpose of achieving a goal. The "fun" in firemaking is presumably showing off your high stat, because as far as monotonous tasks go (fletching, farmville, watching paint dry), firemaking is probably one of the most boring. But if you can find someone who radiates glee when they see those firey pixels dancing and NOT just when their XP counter increases (by which I mean if you removed the fire animation but still gave XP, they would be absolutely downtrodden), I stand corrrected.- Private chat?
Good idea; I'm keeping mine on for a trial period- Private chat?
Alright Good idea, saves time XD - falconry botters
