well the robes only offer mage def... the staff's the only thing that gives you mage att (and it's massive). I usually just wield the class 5 dagger only and mage with that (99 mage ftw). though, I keep a staff in my bag too, along with the runes, super att/str, and food

I mean what skills do I train? since att + str are worth more to your cb lvl than mage and range, try and keep range and mage at the same lvl, and as high as possible w/o gaining a cb lvl. prayer's up to you... 1 pray if f2p, 44 pray if p2p. 52 if you're feeling liberal. defence... keep it at 1 for as long as possible. keep att at 40 if f2p, 60 if p2p. train str as high as you want. don't worry about hp either... the higher the better. really, though, pures are becoming more and more obsolete. I've always enjoyed being a tank/survivor rather than a pure/killer :P

watch pk vids... pk for yourself and die several times to learn from experience. you're really free to do what you want, but I'd appreciate it if you actually learned how to pk legitimately... not like those people who 1-item, rush, pj, etc because they died too many times and gave up go learn how to beat the fight caves... transfer fight caves tactics to the wilderness. same for tormented demons if you can fight those on your main. get a general feel of how the majority of pkers fight, then use unconventional tactics to get the upper hand... basically, don't train your pure unless you're willing to put in a lot of effort

They're broken at the moment. Managed to play two siege games yesterday. Those ppl that fougth against me really didnt read the secondary objective: Eliminate your enemies and attacked the castles with and without catapults, suffering great losses. (I attacked with two heavy units and retreated once i saw how bad the idea was). Then we all began building catapults, including me. But tehy didnt stop their attacks on the castle, thus lost even more squads. Then i shot 2 shots into the walls and thought: what the heck, ill just go for the secondary objective... Then I rushed them with all my squads and won. Second game: I grouped my squads into two groups and waited will they started attacking the castle, and suffered great losses as usual. Then I attacked their "free" squads and crushed them via combat triangle (and a spec spot near their base). They tried to defend with all their powers (castle attackers) to kill me, and even they three teamed on me, I still won. Conclusion: Its not really worth attacking the castle, doing so will only take alot of timr and lessen your chances of survival. I won by being the first to destroy the castle... I was also the first to figure out how to make a catapult lol. I just kept ordering all 10 units to gather rocks while everyone else kept getting killed by the castle.

I played against you earlier. All you do is camp, hardly worth posting your high score when all you use is camping tactics until the very end. Well, in all fairness, it really is the most logical way to win lol. I just rush whoever's closest to me right at the beginning and drop cannons everywhere to get things started and get my rank points quicker hah

The game requires little to no strategy... you can only command one unit at a time, it's free for all, and the units are too similar to each other to require special tactics with certain units

If your opponent was smart he'd save his distractions for situations like that and render you immobile :P

If you look at the advanced breakdown after a game, you'll see that if you lose, you get a 110% rank modifier. Meaning, you'll get 1 pt per loss until rank 20, at which you'll get 2 pts. At lvl 400, for example, you'll get 40 pts per loss. So really, the game just starts out slow. Though you don't see anybody with high ranks like you'd expect so the formula probably changes when you get higher *shrug*
