Mage doesn't need to KO, that's not the point of Mage... You can make your opponent stand still with 2 magic spellbooks, what more do you want? You can hit 30 and more with 2 magic spellbooks too. I want to be able to beat a Ranger, and get the drop in multi-way PvM. That is all :cry: mages should stand no chance agianst a rangers though.....now id say a normal meller should stand a chance aginst a tank ranger..but 9 9range and def vs my noob 81 def ima runni....i wont even try anymore....maxd tanks hurt People forget the fact that very few apply the combat triangle anymore - everybody hybrids. Tank rangers wear melee gear, mages hold shields, meleer's fight in dragonhides, etc

It doesn't improve your chances of getting a rare drop, it just increases your chances of getting a GOOD rare drop. If you bring a RoW to GW, you won't get a better chance of getting a rare item. Rather, you'll get a better chance of getting a hilt instead of a shard. Similarly, at TDs, it'll improve your chances of getting ruined dragon metal than claws, since Jagex made the ruined dragon metal rarer and was intending for it to be more expensive.

yeah if you can beat jad once you can beat him pretty much every time thereafter. I'm not really impressed by different people killing jad x amount of times with x methods. the interesting part has always been GETTING TO jad, with less and less advantages on your side, testing your survival skills to the max... which is pretty much what the minigame was designed to do in the first place :D though I'll admit the only way of killing jad that's impressed me has been killing jad within melee range of him with wind strike without autocast. over 70 minutes of prayer switching haha... I still need to do that before members expires >_>

It doesn't prevent you from being logged out, try it ;) If your friends found a good AFK spot then that would imply that you wouldn't need to "screen spin" to maintain it lol

You should include some info on the evil trees. With the boost (lasts up to 30 minutes), you can get 120k woodcutting XP per hour from cutting oaks (or 240k xp with clay axe) of course you can only cut 2 evil trees per day, and you don't always get a high reward percentage, but it's still a fun thing to do twice a day

That's not true at all If there's any rangers that wanna fight me, I'll gladly accept - I'll use only mage, they use only range. I won't lose Seriously, though. Not to sound cocky but I've sparred against a friend of mine in the duel arena who's a maxed-out tank and he was using range and I was maging only. I won every fight \ Mage is the best combat style in a 1v1 duel. Though, when it comes to needing to kill someone before they run away, it's obviously better to hybrid :P More on-topic. . . the ammy's pretty much a reverse fury for rangers... I don't foresee anybody using it in PvP unless the price goes way down :|

I haven't seen any decent mages in the wild... they're all either wearing mystic or mixing ahrims with incompatible gear... like ahrims top and verac skirt, instead of verac brassard and ahrim skirt (verac skirt has a MASSIVE negative mage att bonus compared to the brassard) More noobmeat for me eat :D

RoW increases chance of getting ruined dragon metal... therefore lowering claw drop rates. Hally is incredibly slow compared to whip/GS... I can last for about 2 hours at a time w/ the GS, with 8 prayer pots on me. I don't get why people don't like the melee pray... the claws eliminate the cost factor of p pots and even with pray on, the bank is only 3 minutes away every 2 hours.

Just wondering if there's a way to get double the defence XP while autocasting spells on defensive. Would the SC hat do this?

ice barrage is more powerful and more accurate than ice blitz. don't use ancients... if you insist on solo maging, use charged claws of guthix. it's very accurate for 1/3 the price

I can never find a partner to come with me :s Couple of reasons I want to mage them...my melee sucks, I wont have to heal much, and it's something different. Gonna try barraging them. Gonna use that. I know I have a range pot(2) and the runes aren't even. Oh and imagine about 4 - 5 prayer potions in there...uploaded the pic before I thought of them. That's not efficient at all, though :| Anyways... don't use a RoW, it increases your chances of getting a ruined dragon metal piece instead of claws. Don't bring the accumulator, it doesn't work from the safespot. Don't use diamond (e) bolts... runite bolts are cheaper and more powerful.

instead of hally, use whip and rune defender (i'm assuming you don't have a GS) instead of tuna taters, use pineapple pizzas instead of broad bolts use runite bolts bank the tele tab and bring an extra pizza/pray pot... just use home port tele to leave use fire cape instead of quest cape if you have one... and use archers ring if you've got one (don't use a RoW there) use ranger boots if you have them... otherwise use dragon also, drink a dose of each pot at the bank before you go into the caves (restock the pots w/ 4-dosers though)

Maging is bad unless you're duo'ing. When you're duo'ing, you should have a mage with max mage att and a rune c'bow in inventory, casting charged claws of guthix until the demon mage prays. at which point range w/ broad/ruby(e) bolts. your partner should be meleeing w/ GS and rnaging w/ rune c'bow my friend and I usually kill the demons before their shield resets with that method
