  1. Nuff said. Tif Name: <3 French Impressionist music (Ravel, Debussy, Satie, etc.)
  2. I always thought that the 2c/3s setup is completely unnecessary. In fact it is quite easy to get below 450 total combat while avoiding having 3 leechers sit at base all day -You could have 4 combateers between CB 90-110 and 1 skiller/pure -Or You could have 3 combateers between 111-126 and 2 pures. Point is, even in the 126/126/3/3/3 setup, the total combat level is 261, which is well below 450. Considering many Pure F2Pers aren't even 126, this total would be even lower. So it is possible to avoid having level 3's comprise the majority of your team while still getting all of your XP. A lot of people prefer the ramped up difficulty that more combateers offer anyway, hence why c1 5:1 rushing is perceived as a grind by many.
  3. You brought enough antifires to last 6 hours and enough runes to last less than 2...just saying.

  7. I'm going to try answering why we don't see as much high level content as we would like. It will probably be a very unpopular position, but oh well. From our perspective as players, high level content is very desirable. From the perspective of Jagex as a for-profit company, high level content is financially risky and needs to be tempered with low level content, with weight given to the latter. Sometimes it's easy to take for granted the work it takes for updates to come about. They don't appear out of thin air just because Jagex wills it. It's not as simple as "suggest it and it will happen." If you have any knowledge of computer science or programming in general, you may appreciate this more. Daemonheim wasn't "always" there. Some Fremenniks discovered those dungeons, we're told. That's just a convenient cover-up of course - Daemonheim had to be coded and compiled just like any update. And developers costs a lot of money. The Warped Floors are as exclusive of an update as you can get. Only what, 4000 can access that content. I severely doubt Jagex recouped the development costs of the warped floors from those 4000. But hey, that's a plus for Jagex. Kudos to them for undertaking something that is both costly and exclusive. We're members; we pay the subscription fee. We should have a say, right? We do, but I'm afraid to say that high level players just don't have as much clout as mid/low leveled players. Think about what caused you to shift from F2P to P2P (I doubt anyone jumped right into P2P) Did you want access to something you could get immediately in P2P, or did you want access to something to work for? Didn't you fork over that money to access new content immediately? Personally, I wanted black dragonhide armor. I gave no thought to content that was still out of my reach.
  8. Generia: The root cause of dungeoneering not being enjoyable isn't even because of leechers or the 50% cap. The cause is a lack of networking. If you haven't been P2P and have never been to W117, then I can see why you'd think removing the cap would make DG fun again. Well, it's not. W117 has no cap and it's still a hellhole. Even if the cap were lifted and you DG'ed with 4 other random combaters, you will encounter new frustrations of a different form, mainly ineptitude/rudeness. I have a lvl 39 mager and I've played in the W61 3s/2c setup, and I agree it's not fun when 3 of your party is AFK. But I actually prefer it to W117 because at least a leecher's stupidity ends there. Only friends/people you are comfortable DG'ing with can cure the problem of grind. I in fact have 0 prestiged many floors with friends because I simply don't care about XP as long as it's fun. And it is.
  9. Let's face it. We only consider the untradable herblore potions "useful" because of its bearing on combat. Every future skill update - like it or not - will be judged in its so called "usefulness" based on its relation to combat, because combat skills are the only set of skills deemed inherently useful. Most people in this thread consider the inferno adze to be useless because it has no bearing on combat. People consider barehanding sharks to be useless because it doesn't affect combat. The requirements to wield an adze or to barehand sharks are high in their own right. What if, instead of extremes and overload, Jagex released untradable skilling boost potions? Yeah, no one would consider that useful. So when players see updates to noncombat skills like smithing, crafting, construction, runecrafting, thieving, and agility, they invariably look for how it benefits their combat experience, either indirectly or directly. Personally, I don't agree with this paradigm. Skilling for the sake of skilling seems to be a lost concept nowadays. But that's how it is.
  10. Wait, if you can trade tokens for 90GPP ea, and 120 dunge you get say 300k an hour, that's over 20m an hour o_O However, unless you can actually TRADE tokens for GP, your point is moot. And I sincerely doubt that you can. No, at 120DG you get 30k tokens/hr, equivalent to 2.7m worth of rapier charge. And yes, I was talking about opportunity cost.
  11. Marmoros the reward trader values token at 90gp each. So however many tokens you can get per hour multiplied by 90 would have to be greater than your best moneymaker plus 200k/h in order for it to be worth using tokens.
  12. yeah...I'm sure his task is done by now.
  13. Dragon equipment is tradable, while defenders are not. So it'll be interesting to see what route Jagex goes with the dragon defender. If it became an untradable, cheaply replaceable item like Korsasi's Sword, then I expect items like Dragonfire shield and Godswords to tank quite a lot - especially the DFS because it and dragon defenders are near perfect substitute goods. One of the only reasons why the DFS is still relatively pricey is because it has the best strength bonus of any shield in the game - and we all know that a vast majority of players fetishize strength bonus. A dragon defender having the same +7 bonus would annihilate nearly all demand for the DFS. But If it becomes tradable and extremely rare (d claws status), then I don't think the prices of current gear would change much.
  14. Let's assume 1.5k bones/hr with gilded altar/pack yak/ring of duelings, also ignoring other costs Dbones=4892gp, 252 xp Fdbones=15600gp, 640 xp Cost per hour of frost dragon bones = 23.4m XP/hr: 960k Cost per hour of dragon bones = 7.338m XP/hr: 378k Using the RSwiki formula: P1X2-P2X1/(X2-X1), the figure is around 3.1m, so I was slightly off.
  15. You would have to value your time at 3.5m/hr or so to train with frost dragon bones. I can show you the calculations if you'd like.
  16. I think the cost of 99 summoning, if it were entirely buyable, would cost around the same as 99 herblore and prayer, seeing as the three contribute to combat more or less to the same degree. So I would put the figure at around 300m. 100m would be loss from shards and tertiaries. So I'd imagine a player wanting to buy 35k crims from the GE shelling out 200m or about 5.7k ea. People already pay 25% more gp/xp to train 2.5x faster with frost dragons than with dragons bones. And as blues give over twice the xp/hr over crims, i'd imagine they would be 20% more gp/xp or so. Bork with Varrock Elite done would be more profitable than an average torstol run.
  17. I'm 5 levels away from fire blast or so, and wind blast + cat staff + blastbox is the equivalent of earth blast so I will stick with that in the meantime. Fire staff + blast would be +10 damage at the exchange of -3 magic attack, so the difference isn't that much anyway. Hit 50 Dg as well so I decided to bind a frac pick because there really isn't anything else useful I could bind (1/23/1 melee stats) Also ran into Syzygy. I was almost able to do some c1s with him but he decided I didn't need them  Oh well, he seemed liked a nice guy.
  18. Tried out W61 dung on my lvl 39 mager/skiller with 43 pray (which I got pretty much to DG) Cokeyed with a lvl 122 with 3 other leechers for about 10 floors, in which I found and binded Catalytic staff and blastbox (125 blasts). It was actually a lot of fun, especially soloing bosses like Rammernaut that are over twice your CB.
  19. 93 DG. I'm not very good at keying but I do know my way around and general protocol. I'm willing to help those that want to learn how to DG. I'd also prefer VoIP to IGC.
  20. I don't profess to be a "pro" DGer but I'm willing to share what I know and do some floors with a few tifers. After all, guides can only do so much. My Private chat will be on.
  21. I'll get it next time, I guess.
  22. ^ You 2 should join my team ;-)
  23. Really? Oh I might get my P2H back then. I haven't tried keying yet with my T7 Gatherer. But I think skill door fail damage can be negated easily with the GS/GGS trick, no? Or is that not very practical for a keyer?
