  1. I really really like the look of Zuriel for some reason.
  2. I discard everything below ranarr. Here's my herb/farming tab - hope it helps you. The way I organized it was as follows: vials, herblore boosts, alternating grimy/clean herb, secondaries, normal potions, extreme potions, then farming stuff (mostly for tree runs)
  3. Yeah if I had more foresight I would've bought more brews, they were going for min a day before BTS. Ourg bones and torstol will be a long-term merch. Hopefully new boss will drive them up. Rocktail was just a short flip. They're doing nicely atm. about 5-6m profit
  4. Downgrade to V skirt because it is better or just to save? Because I could just buy Tassets and when I have the rest of money for Turm I could just resell Tassets. True, it's just bandos is dropping pretty hard right now. You could probably rebuy it later for much lower. Torso+fire cape > prossy+sw cape for slayer. Oh, and add a rapier in the mix.
  5. Downgrade tassets to vskirt, and start saving up for turmoil.
  6. You don't have quite enough, you'll need 520m at the least, and that's to snipe it off the GE. I think people are starting to realize that free trade isn't coming out in the early part of this year, so phats may be on the rise again soon.
  7. You should have suggested Verac's then. Prayer bonus > Defence bonus. You should be using piety/turmoil anyway. And strength bonus > prayer bonus. Almost all of the top ranked slayers use Bandos for that reason. That said, other things come before Bandos in terms of priority (like extremes/turm) Bandos is already going for 80/20 on W2, so I'd say it's a good idea to sell now since it will be 80% of its current price in a few days. And since you don't have extremes, I'd suggest training herblore until you can get them. New boss will inevitably raise the cost of prayer and herblore.
  8. So who else is keeping up with this series? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4522OA2MMFY&feature=sub I was on the edge of my seat on this ep...
  9. They crashed pretty soon after the poll was announced. Everything with street did. It's non-rare and purely ornamental, so I'm not surprised that its days were cut short. Same thing happened with kingly crowns. As for druidic, I think the each of the 4 clothe pieces are worth more or less a yellow, same as before the poll. Not sure on staff.
  10. Weren't 3A always 5%? I don't recall Jagex ever messing with them. And I was browsing the RSOF discontinued section when I saw some of those avatars... I mean, I knew phats looked bad on girls but I never thought THAT bad
  11. I believe phats had 1% margins before/while they crashed in 08, but my memory may be wrong.
  12. As for why I think 3rd age might rise...Well partyhats crashed from Early 08' until June '09. All the big merchers held their stock in 3rd age during this period. I think the PVP update in June and the inflation from statues it brought is what caused the phats to be bought out again and 3rd age to crash because people wanted a safeguard against inflation, and third-age wasn't it. So when old wilderness comes along, the statues will be removed. And clue hunting will be more difficult with pkers on the prowl. Junk traders/merchers are scrambling now to consolidate their wealth on other items but haven't settled on exactly what yet. After free trade/old wildy we will enter into a deflationary period, and so I think 3rd age has a good chance of being bought out again soon.
  13. What do you guys think will happen to 3rd age? I want to invest in a 3rd age melee set since I think old wildy might drive the price up. And on the RSOF people are selling half wines for 1B! I thought the street on wines was like 50% more than blue? But now it has less street than yellow. edit: nvm it looks like wines were under blue for a while.
  14. Best vocals ever in death metal http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8q5kRx1Q6m4 I wish I could sound like a bullfrog  Demilich has their discog available free on their website here.
  15. Invisible boosts don't work, unfortunately. You'll have to stew. You can use abyssal lurker to boost +4 thieving/agility and stranger plant for +4 farming. I believe those are the only good visible familiar boosts.
  16. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OiJ3KU0bme0 I love this band so so much.
  17. It's very possible that GE flipping will be made substantially easier with free trade. Imagine...no more volume limits or 4 hour buy/sell limit. You could leave a buy offer at the low end of an item's spread then a sell offer at the opposite end and watch them fill simultaneously. Or it might not work like that at all and make flipping harder, who knows.
  18. The sooner you can make extremes, the better off you'll be. Extreme attack is 21gp/xp, and str is around 25gp/xp. Normal potions are around this cost, but only after you sell them off. So it is much better to start making extremes as soon as you can, which is 83-4 herb. The way I did it was to make 1k super attacks and strenghts to 83 herb, get a +5 stew, then make the extreme pure sets using the 1 min. trick.
  19. Fishing every moray to 120 DG isn't gonna cut it for you?
  20. Meiyerditch is the reason why I still haven't completed Legacy of Seergaze for years <_<
  21. No, order used has no bearing on what's saved. For normal potions, the secondaries are saved. You save herbs when adding it to vials of water, and the ingredient when adding it to the unf pot. For extreme potions, you save the primary potion, not the herb. For overloads, you save torstol.
  22. Junk trading wasn't instituted by merchers. Jagex indirectly instituted it when they brought about the GE. Its mechanisms failed to deal with any cataclysmic change in demand, and so people adapted to its insufficiencies by junk trading. Jagex made a serious blunder crippling the price elasticity of phats and crackers by making the min and max 1% of each other. This was completely arbitrary and stupid (For example, half wines are worth more than phats but are 5%). In fact I would argue that high end rares should have bigger margins, like 20%. And then you add in the fact that rares don't update for weeks at a time, when the GE could and should calculate a new price based on unfilled offers. Clearly the price of phats did not accurately reflect its demand and so that's why merchers engage in junk trading. In 2008 it was different - third-age equipment had the tremendous street, while phats were crashing junk. Then in 2009 they had a little role reversal. Think about how Jagex will occasionally step in and intervene by artificially lowering the prices of items they suspect of being manipulated - Oyster Pearl, for example. That's good and all, but they fail to adjust prices in the opposite direction - increasing items in GE that are worth way more then trade price. So Jagex are the ones to blame really when you wonder why people junk trade in the first place. But at least they're taking a step in the right direction introducing free trade. Once that comes about, all the limitations of the GE and its exploitations will vanish.

  24. No doubt there will be huge riots when this is implemented. Wonder how they'll look like: "We pay, we say. We pay to...76k?"
