  1. I actually respectfully disagree. The dragon bones should make up for the losses in potions and bronzes are one of the most hunted monsters for elite clues  If you mage them as Sy suggests (chaos gauntlets from family crest help IMMENSELY in this endeavour) then the bones of two dragons will make up for a full antifire potion and I would hope you can get enough kills to make up for runes and potions on bronzes. If that doesn't work try engaging them in melee wear full prayer gear and bring prayer potions to pray protection along with some antifires and combat pots (supers are a bit much for bronze dragons) using your strongest one-handed weapon.
  2. ....Who kills them in taverly? Even if you don't have the kuradal dungeon; the wilderness volcano is much better (can you say bank right outside anyone?) :-P OT: Yeah waiting a while for a clue sucks I'll give you that much. Generally though I find myself waiting for one when I forgot I had one in my bank  If you've got the gumption to do them, DKs have a rather high elite clue drop rate from my experience
  3. If you are able to get on a GOOD veteran world (one of the "trade for 115+ worlds) then I would suggest that. Second on the list: if you try conquest and find that you are good at it, give it a go, I find it quite entertaining Third and least desirable: Putting up with the novice boat on W144

....There's obviously no way you've had primary experience with bosses so please reconsider using outside sources [/troll] OT: Plenty of bosses are "hard". That is, if one is able to classify anything on runescape as hard to begin with. Never done TD's so I won't break my above line and talk about them but the general consensus that I've seen from others is stated above. Complete concentration qualifies as "hard" I suppose Another good example is Dagganoth Kings.... which I doubt anyone with those levels could even think about doing. One mistake is pretty much an instant death or end run. Even on a team its really easy to screw up. Jad is rather similar: if you miss the auditory cue you are dealt a swift, fiery death. As for gwd, have you ever seen a missed tank at zamorak? Rather hellish to be on the receiving end of that one. KQ destroys people, I still have nightmares about my trips. Dungeoneering has plenty of "hard" bosses as well. If you gear wrong for to'kash or astea frostweb just as an example you're pretty much boned from the start. That said, your definition of making bosses "hard" seems to have two things going for it: First is that they would be so OP that any soloer would have to try over nine thousand times and wait for the one lucky time that the "lv 1200 that hits through prayer" doesn't one shot you. Either that or you would have to get a large enough team that it would die before being able to fire off an attack. As for the second method, it can and will be used for just about any boss that jagex comes up with; masses have always been around and always will be. Oh yeah! nomad... anyone with soul split and turmoil/leech range (depending upon personal preference) can destroy him. Either that or a lot of spirit kyatt scrolls. So if you knew anything about him from trying it you would see he isnt so "hard" either.

I'm maxed and I quite enjoy balmung at dagganoth kings. It seems to be far more accurate than a few other options but perhaps that just me.... In either case its a welcome break from the mass of godswords/whips i see people carrying around. What happened to the aesthetic value of a good axe or sword? It looks pretty sick if nothing else.
  6. .....Ok so instead of causing skills to be backwards thanks to increased demand for manufacturing (thus devaluing the end product) we'll cause all raw materials to be unsellable from massive overproduction. Doesn't solve the problem in the slightest. (A backwards skill is like herblore, end product is cheaper than the materials to make it)
  7. Dragon Dagger Superpoisoned
  8. Range helm + Armadyl chestplate (or even k top/d'hide) is amazing for range and substituting a Bcp/torso or a high defense body not only adds defense to the gearset but it can also add strength and prayer. If you really want to maximize the prayer/def a verac top could be interesting to use with it. Lastly, the shield is definitely worth it if you plan on training combat skills in large chunks.... because it allows you to use a sacred clay body. Not only does this give double xp, but it also adds much needed defense to void. Me and a few friends toyed around with the idea of ranging at bandits (subbing body for sacred clay) or even better, if you ever plan on training melee and have the gumption to do desert treasure... GIANT SKELETONS! -Void's +10% accuracy/damage -Salve (e)'s +20% accuracy/damage (yes it stacks with void) -Sacred clay body. The double xp will override any possible loss of xp due to no defender etc.
  9. I wrote it not only to state my point (that I am against it) but also to make people think about the fact that it doesn't really change anything in the end. In regards to bragging, you might get a "grats" or something similar... you'll probably also look like a fool to those who know you're full of hot air... or you might get utmost respect from someone who doesn't know better. Is it worth it to have fake friends on a video game?
  10. The past two days were really uneventful, I finished my potions, got some more secondaries, slayed a tad bit.... and today I got the void knight deflector. The ability to use an armadyl chestplate along with a void set effect at kbd would be nice, as would bcp + void at godwars when I get a chaotic longsword. Seeing as I really dont have much else to talk about, I'll do a short review of the new Void knight game :^_^: In short, I love it. Not necessarily for the massive amount of commendation points you get in one game (I've gotten 40 in a single match :ohnoes: ). But I also enjoy the strategic aspect of it, balancing your troops and powers against whatever an enemy can throw at you. Be it a line of Champions, Archers, or somewhere in between. It feels good to play, the gameplay itself is very entertaining (reminds me a lot of playing chess crossed with stratego which is cool). My last praise of the game is that it just looks freaking awesome. I am not an anime person, nor am I culturally versed in eastern civilizations, but I always loved the pseudo-Japanese look of the void knights and this just exemplifies it. I expect to see the next in the void knight series requiring a certain rank in game because, if you read, it said they are short of commanders and waiting for people to prove themselves or whatnot. Perhaps a leadership role in the upcoming conflict? I personally have no idea but I am however interested to see what happens.
  11. Well, my net was down last night so I'll keep it brief... I've finished cleaning all my herbs (YAY) and I have 1400 more Ranarr (unf)'s to make. After that I'll be getting all the secondaries for the kingdom herbs that I'll be using, I already have 260 mort myre fungi, 300 papaya, 1K eye of newt and 100 wine of zamorak... Now for the most disturbing information as of yet, I calculated it out and with extremely fast banking it will take between 3 and 4 hours for me to make all the potions at an average of about 1.9 or 1.8 times the normal experience rate :ohnoes: After that.... I have no idea what i'll be doing, probably slayer
  12. Haha, I have a little problem of my own when it comes to rare drops. No worries man, give it time and they will come. Good luck with training, it seems that you have the means and determination to go far.
  13. Well, it was a rather uneventful day in Gielinor for me, most of my day was spent moving into my dorm room. That said, by the end I have 7250 unfinished ranarr potions prepped and ready for double xp weekend, I have 3K more to clean and 6750 more unfinished potions to make with the remainder of my cleans and the new ones coming in. Tomorrow in addition to cleaning herbs, I'll be making preparations for all the herbs that I'll receive from managing my kingdom, including but not limited to buying vials of water and secondaries. If you have any, I'd be more than happy to buy some. The market scares me right now :ohnoes:
  14. Hail and well met everyone, before I start with the actual blogging; I would like to take a bit of time to introduce myself. In real life, I am a student at Texas Tech University... Well I should say, I will be as I write this on the eve of my departure. Some may say that continuing Runescape isn't the most rational choice but as you'll probably see in the following entries, I enjoy my irrational decisions  . I always have my private chat on so drop me a line if you feel the random compulsion. Now lets get to the good stuff: Before I loose most of the readers, the following blog will mainly be about the skill goals in my signature. I was lucky enough to stock up on 14K p pots worth of herblore ingredients. Yeah I bought mostly grimy ranarrs so I could clean them for extra xp to make my gold piece go that much farther, I'm stingy like that. Given the current scenario, most of my time will be occupied with making unfinished potions before the Bonus XP weekend (which by the way I support wholeheartedly). After this, I'll finish my long-standing goal of slayer which I've held for about a year now. Yes I'm aware that its taking me forever and I'm sure there are OVER 9000 ways I could've done it faster but I didn't so  Yeah whatever. The current goals stand and while I only have the cash/means to get about 90ish herblore at the moment, I will move on to slayer and after the token abyssal whip drop, I'll move on to Dungeoneering. Thats the plan for now at least  It'll probably change by the time I get there but I look forward to the rewards I already have planned out. Fare thee well -Emerson "May your journey be long, far, filled with the opportunity to experience life as it is in the raw. Take advantage of this and enjoy yourself but never travel too distant as to stray from the path you started upon."

Where in the Bloody [Freneskae] did you get that idea? Personally a videogame should have more time enjoying the ability to do stuff than the time getting to where you can do said stuff... thus I would like to say that I respectfully disagree with you and I love the Bonus XP. After playing this game and training for long hours I don't think it subtracts from the game at all, it allows people to get to where they want to be instead of stuck in the seemingly endless limbo that is skillgrinding. (Waits for someone to troll and/or counterpoint)
  16. ^ I whole-heartedly agree ^ As a writer who personally attempts to make every last sentence correctly spelled and punctuated this irks me quite a bit as well. I personally find those who type, for lack of a better term, legibly, to sound more sophisticated. To everyone else, you're probably asking yourself, "Why on Gielinor does sophistication even matter?" Well to you it probably doesn't but if you sound like you just learned your ABC's and took typing lessons from a Martian, then you prove yourself to be yet another worthless bit of existence that currently disappoints and depresses those who actually care about the representation of the Runescape community. To quote asparagoose, "I was literally bowled over by the masses of spamming and leet-speaking twelve-year-olds who think themselves ironically cool" Granted this was referring to a highly populated free world but it seems that way every time I step in to the Grand Exchange.
  17. To be quite honest with you, I think this should be done for all the rare items (that and lending through the GE). Should this ever be implemented (because it won't) #-o It would effectively eliminate that [developmentally delayed] market known as "junk" P.S. Did I mention that I hate street prices? :wall:
  18. Im currently agreeing with this guy.... If you check the prices today, thanks to the newest ge update you will see ranarrs happily rising. Happily for me anyways, unknowing of the update I bought 14K ingrediants for p pots the day before the announcement
  19. Meh, I agree there are the randoms that I can't stand (Mime GRRRRR  ) but that said, the ability to cancel them would just add another layer of powerbuilding to the game.... people would just cancel events that didn't give lamps or books of knowledge as the rewards. They are fairly rare so I personally would rather see game editing done to other sections of Runescape As for making macros easier.... I'm pretty sure that if people can make a macro defeat one random, they can own em all.
  20. I personally see it as a counter to the leech/sap spirit prayers and as for the more damaging special attacks.... it'll work wonders at boss hunting for specials and coupled with recover special potions, I can see this as a huge boon to anyone's arsenal. Perhaps my planned dungeoneering binge (after slayer and herby of course) shall yield yet another valuable fruit
