Tieszen - 95 Prayer bought
Why does it seem like since FT came back there is a new person every week posting advice in H&A with info that's completely outdated and they all refuse to listen to logic... Going to finish getting 60 dg tonight.

Slayer question.
- Range Training?
This And its not trolling to tell an OP that information other posters gave is bad advice. Trolling is posting fallicious material in an attempt to get a rise out of another poster. I could care less about getting a rise out of you. I do care to correct your bad advice. Aviansies and kree are terrible exp/hr and money. Both of the ways Q listed are vastly superior.- Void
yeah ok you bring ahrims to duel arena and I will bring void mage. I win the second I whip out a rune cbow and blast your +0 range defence. pfft. battle maging at all kinda sucks. its just a diversion. melee/range in void is kinda sucky too, because armadyls is way more mage def for anything you'd want to range (and really that'd only be nex or kree'arra - nothing else requires range), and melee'ing anything... for training or grinding... man... if yer off slayer task you probably shouldn't be... and/or your kinda peer pressured into duo tds because some puissant young pal of yers is making you despite the fact that td drops suck. so... void is wholly a diversion. play with it a little while then put it back into the poh case and forget you have it. more trolling please. And a duel arena match up with hybridding does what for your case that void mage should be used in PvM? Please take an intro course to logic and come back. Void range is the best possible exp/hr for chinning. Void melee is the best possible exp/hr for melee training outside of dhoraks at Ape Atoll with a rapier to finish low health monkeys. Melee training not being worth it off task? For those of us who rarely train slayer or just want to max melee quickly for boss hunting or DG its hands down the best way to go. TD's having sucky drops? Seriously? One of the best effigy and blue charm sources in the game as well as 3 mil+ an hour avg for drops... AKA void is one of the most useful armour sets in the game, if you're leaving it in your POH you wasted your time getting it and you're wasting your time with your training. Stop posting info that was useful 4 years ago. I will start reporting every post that contains blatent misinformation.- What to do on BXPW?
Anything that you hate (runecrafting) or that is slow (again runecrafting). I hate firemaking so I will be doing that to 92 as fast as I can, then I will probably go grind out my last two agility levels so that I can pie to my agile top.- Range Training?
+1 for the above suggestion- Runetracker records..wth?
Inb4modlocksthismontholdnecro'dandalreadyansweredthread.- Hunting
Best options for training hunter to 70 are red sallys, penguins, and falconry if you wasted your tokens from dg on a bonecrusher (hey, you got one use out of it). At 70 switch to herblore habitat.- Range Training?
What is this i don't even...he's asking for good ways to train range, not if he can solo Kree. OT: go chin nechs/monkeys, get 99 range with that. Then go kill blues if you still want cash. Cannon them in the resource dungeon if you can. If you can't afford to do monkeys and don't have 80 slayer for nechs spend a week doing herb runs 8 times a day along with dailies and MTK. You'll then have 20+ mil to blow on chins.- Void
Please don't post bad advice, void mage is useless. OT: use a berserker ring and fire cape for black demons. Cost of prayer pots is negligible. Also I could be wrong but im fairly confident that barrows gloves with a deflector is better than a d defender at black demons if you're using piety (which you should) and have the void set bonus as you're already extremely accurate. Other places to use void would be any training location for melee except for ape atoll dungeon where dhoraks is better. Chinning nechs/ape atoll for range. TD's is also a great spot if you have them unlocked.- Need a favour
@above He asked for people to help him buy battlestaffs. Not for the most efficient way of training. If you want to add your opinion at least address the question being asked first... OT: is there a reason why you're set on air battlestaffs? Otherwise there's a guide on rs wiki that will give you alternative items to alch that turn a profit depending on where the GE last updated.- Slayer question.
Inb4queynax(however the hell you spell her name)slayerpost. If you have turmoil/extremes/and a yak then buy it. Personally I would get it before a yak. The 6 strength saves a good number of hours off of 99 slayer. But since you don't need the defense you can also go with a fighter torso and veracs skirt to save cash. Don't slay for profit. Do something that profits well for profit, use that money to slay better. Don't ever buy a godsword. BGS is semiuseful for corp and nothing else. Edit Ignore that jrkerr didn't "feel" like+ 6 str would have sped things up. It will. You can certainly do it without, but you could also do it with a bronze dagger. Doesn't mean its a good idea.- Mining advice.
+1 There are also search bars on the runescape website, tip.it's website, and just about every other fansite.- Sighted longbow
For your first question, its the same speed as a normal longbow. Why would you want to take the sight off of a bow? Im pretty sure you can't anyways.- What is the point of a "pure" character?
Fix'd- Dungeoneering Rewards To Get
Because 34 k tokens is better put to other far more useful rewards or recharging your rapier. If you're anal about having a non-cluttered screen when slaying then fine. But the point at which you'll have enough tokens where a bonecrusher is worth it is often well passed the point of where you need prayer exp. Also prayer exp is negligible for every tasks but dragons and those you'll want to bank for altaring later.- LF maximum F2P profitz
Well having played before, I immediately did the Rune Mysteries quest so i can farm essence and trade it on the GE. Which happens to be a terrible way to make money and is in no way merchanting. Merchanting is buying items low and selling them high. If the item is stable in price this is known as flipping, if you buy the item hoping it will rise due to an update or some other stimulus this is called investing. If you're doing it with rising/crashing items its called dangerous. Best F2P moneymakers are Telegrabbing wines of zamorak. Yew Trees Lobster fishing on karamja and having them noted Harvesting dragonfire shields Harvesting Air Talismans (having completed rune mysteries you can no longer do this). Merchanting. I have never found merchanting to be very succesful, at least for me. Does anyone know of any profitable items to farm, along with any techniques? ....wines of zamorak, telegrab them. Anti-dragon shields, talk to the duke.... /facepalm- Mage training
Did I say I disagreed?- Mage training
Use an SoL. Battle robes are debateable. If you have the spare tokens to recharge them or have a fetish for FoG then use them. If not and you value your time as more than the amount of money saved then no, don't use them. Ahrims is the better option imo as I value my time at over 2 mil an hour and I hate FoG.- Penance Horn?
There's really no significant difference between the penance horn and the penance master horn as they hold the same exp potential. All you get with the penance master horn is bragging rights and a new emote. (pro all here) ALTHOUGH, the higher levels you get within the game, the easier it will be to play, and the faster you can gain exp potential later on; it's your choice. Personally, I fell in love with barb assault, and maxed everything, but that's just me. Wrong Master penance horn retains charges longer than the regular horn. They take the same amount of time to charge. Getting the master horn is worth it. Tip.it item database info Zybez's item database info /references- Pure Essences?
+1 DIY is way over rated *glances around to make sure itam isn't going to kill him*. Get your daily alotment from ardy, then go make cash to buy more. Getting it yourself is a waste of time/money.- So i have 400 spec restores...
Fix'd EE(E) DDS Claws Korasi's on mith drag tasks for lolz- Dungeoneering Rewards
Yeah I already have 95 Prayer, so I don't think I'll use it for that. Would using it at Falconry be worth it at lvl 66 Hunter? Would it be faster than hunting Red Salamanders? If training it to 71 for Jadinkos through Falconry is faster than Salamanders, then I might get that. But for Prayer, no, I already use effigies/pengs/lamps on it. No, don't get a bonecrusher for that. Penguins and red sallys are fine to 71, the exp is so fast and so little to gain you'd be using it for less than a day (a few hours at most). At 70 switch to herblore habitat. +1 for buying 10 law staffs.- What should I do at these stats?
Do your daily shop runs for ~a mil profit a day, guide here http://forum.tip.it/topic/254632-daily-activities/ Farming herbs can be done every 1.5 hours and should use magic secatures, supercompost, and a scroll of life. Later farming jujus should be added to this. 8 runs a day at ~100 k profit per run for toadflax doubles you bank in a day. Your herblore is low, clean the herbs before you sell them. Work on the stats for the quests My Arms Big Adventure (disease free herb patch) Fairy Tale 1/2/3 (magic secatures/watering can and use of fairy rings without a dramen staff) Blood Runs Deep (450 k prayer experience if prayer is over 70) Void quests (100 k prayer exp, elite void, korasi's sword) Nomads Requim (70 zeal~=180 k prayer exp, SW cape) While Guthix Sleeps (400 k prayer exp) All of those should keep you busy for a while. If you're looking to profit don't do slayer as at your stages your cashpile will stay static at best. Wait until you're ~80's in combat stats as well as at least 70 prayer with piety unlocked and a decent cashpile that you don't care about diminishing a little (say around 50 mil). Lastly, once you get your att/str/def to 80 and 70 prayer you can do DG inbetween herb runs to work long term on getting a chaotic rapier.- Dungeoneering Rewards To Get
^ true Arcane stream necklace if you ever plan on doing combat with magic (such as DK's, ice strykewyrms etc). Scroll of life if you ever plan on farming (which you should), scroll of cleansing for training herblore/more profit from herb farming anything but torstol, gem bag (cheap and adds minor profit to most slayer tasks). Most people grab a scroll of life and maybe a scroll of cleansing before a rapier. If you do a lot of magic combat the arc stream comes in there too. Gem bag should be bought after both scrolls imo. - Range Training?
