I have 16m slayer exp and I never needed a SGS in order not to bank/prolong my trip, even at lower levels. SGS really isn't needed, and is slowing down slayer exp per hour (which means less money per hour). A bunyip is cheaper, and far more effective.

Gilded alter
Except it isn't faster, and on the long run, there is barely a difference in cost from making your own altar.

Nice counter argument bro. I said in any situation where you might need it. Meaning, where the special is actually usefull for something. The only place I can recall the special being useful is in SGW, and, like you said, that is irrelevant to lower-middle level players, but feel free to provide more examples. There is no reason to use a ZGS in any kind of combat training, because a whip and a defender or a saradomin sword are far better options. If we aren't going for the best, I can argue that a bronze dagger is a really usefull weapon because you can kill any monster with it. That doesn't mean that the bronze dagger is powerfull, it only means I'm being a jerk by recommending a mediocre weapon when there are better alternatives. Like you said, none of that is necessary. You can both train faster with another weapon, and recover more health using other special attacks or familiars. That in itself defeats the purpouse of having a SGS at lower-medium level. You can't argue with "fun-factor" because that is entirely subject to opinion, and you can't say that the small gimmick of recovering prayer is worth 34 million coins out of the wallet of a low-med player, because again, there are better and cheaper alternatives. Obviously you can't argue with opinion. But I'm not, I'm arguing with the fact that there are better training weapons, and economic alternatives to the special attacks. Of course you can still think a godsword is a better weapon besides all that, but you're solely relying on the "cool-factor", or the "fun-factor", because the numbers say otherwise. And yeah, I was talking about a guy a couple of pages back. Again, there are better weapons to make "basic leveling easier". But "making grinding that much more painless" really doesn't apply because you'll spend more time grinding due to the lower damage output of the godsword, not to speak about the money you'll have to grind to buy them in the first place. I've hit the point where godswords were obsolete back when they were released. I was a low-med level player, and there was no use in them for me. Now that I am a high level player, there is still no use in them for me. Sure, they are pretty and have "unique" specials, but I'll recommend a whip or a sarasword over them to a friend, any time.

Okay then. Why is that? Can you give an example where a godsword trumps a whip and a defender? Please don't just come in here and say "oh, it's a decent weapon" without actually giving any argument to defend that position.

most [developmentally delayed]ed thing ever This. One of the sides has to be right, and so far I've seen little factual evidence on the Godsword side. They merely deflect and defend the arguments, without providing any sort of convincing argument from their side. Then you cannot say they are "amongst the most powerful" when there is a plethora of much better weapons available, even at lower levels.

Lets see... GodSword slash bonus: 132 Whip + dragon defender slash bonus: 106 Chaotic Longsword + dragon defender: 148 GodSword str bonus: 132 Whip + dragon defender str bonus: 88 Chaotic Longsword + dragon defender: 126 The only situations where you need a high attack bonus are boss encounters, and even then, the difference in slash attack bonuses is negligible. You cannot say a weapon is more powerful than another if you only take into account the strength value of that weapon, because there are a lot of different variables when comparing two weapons, two of them being the ability to wear shields and its speed. In any situation where you might need Zamorak GodSword's special (that being Saradomin GWD), you cannot expect the player to be lower leveled, so there is no reason why a low level player would own a ZGS in the first place. Don't talk about efficiency, because either way, recovering prayer points with a special attack is hardly efficient when you can wield a weapon with a higher DPS and just carry a couple more prayer potions. Not that any medium level player should need to use prayer in their daily tasks so much that they need to recover it with a weapon in any case. At medium levels, if you have 75 attack for a GodSword, you should use a whip and a dragon defender instead, because at medium level, you hardly need the "accuracy" you so claim Godswords are worth the money for, and a whip or a saradomin sword are much better, and more damaging alternatives. At medium levels, you also don't need the special attacks of the godswords, or if you do, the occasions are so rare that the money would be better spend on getting other skills higher. At high levels, you laugh at anyone who uses a GodSword. Period.

Powerfull? Well, that depends on your definition. Chaotic weapons are the most powerfull weapons in the game, and then PvP weapons, and then a whip/saradomin sword... GodSwords are the lowest of the low in terms of "powerfull" weapons, so I don't really think they can qualify.

Nope.avi They are slow, and lack in power compared to other weapons. They do less damage per second than a whip, and you can't wear a shield. Their specials are easily replaced too. Bandos GodSword can be replaced by a Statius warhammer, Zamorak GodSword can be replaced with an ice barrage, Saradomin GodSword's healing abilities are weak compared to eee, bunyip or unicorn, and the prayer recovery can be done with an ancient mace. Armadyl godsword is easily replaced with korasi's or Dragon claws. Except for the ice barrage, you can purchase or earn the alternatives quite easily, even if you only have the attack requirement needed for a GodSword. Now, tell me again WHY exactly are they a part of the "best weapons" in the game? As far as I know, only one item can hold the title of "the best" in a certain area. And a godsword certainly doesn't excel in any area.

Good thing I have a huge stock of godsword blades  I could be reading this wrong, BUT I do believe you need the hilt to wield the sword. He could tie them to a rope and make a godsword whip D:

Rise in bone prices?
Prices didn't drop when the wild was removed. As you say, they only went up in price due to turmoil. I doubt they will rise. There were green dragon hunters before, and now they have chaos tunnel green dragons too.

Last I checked you couldn't distinguish revs from other mobs on the minimap. It's not hard, you big babies: You see a white dot on the minimap, you run in the other direction.

There are green dragons in the chaos tunnels already. And people hunted green dragons before the wilderness was removed (and bones were much cheaper, they only increased because of the new prayers...They didn't get cheaper when the wilderness was removed). I really don't think this would be an issue.

Nice generalisation bro. Care to provide proof that complainers = hackers and scammers? Trading has changed since 2007. Now you have warnings everywhere in the trade screen, giant blinking red exclamation marks, whole lines highlighted bright red. Even if you're colorblind, you'll most definitelly notice something is amiss. Plus, if you have enough money to warrant being scammed, you probably won't fall for a "drop trade" trick. I didn't fall for it when I was 12, and I'm sure anybody with an average IQ won't either. Where do you think keyloggers come from? Do they magically appear when you're playing runescape? Protip: if you aren't looking for things you shouldn't be looking for, such as cheats or bots, and downloading suspicious programs you have nothing, and I repeat, NOTHING, to worry about. Moreso if you have a bank pin, it gives you 3 days to recover your account, and they can't steal anything. Again, warnings, warnings everywhere. You can't go into the wilderness without getting an explicit warning saying that is a dangerous place, and you will lose your stuff when attacked by another player. If you go with a partyhat to the wilderness and pick up three noted mystic robes, it's your fault for risking the partyhat, you've read the warning. But sure, I'll give you this one, some players (dumb players) might get lured. But they'll learn from it. That has never happened before with the free trade, even during the time the GE didn't have limits. Please don't use speculation as an argument. How is this even an argument? Right click > Ignore list. It's not very hard, and since you've played since 2002, I assume you know runescape has that feature. You could have played since 1977, and most of your points would still be moot.
