The Brimhaven Agility Arena is located just a little east of the ardougne boat on Brimhaven, in a little hut: What to bring: 26 cakes OR 26 lobs OR baskets of strawberries - thank you vlad for this suggestion :P "Baskets of strawberries! Each basket holds 5 strawberries, each strawberry heals 7 hp so a basket heals 35. Just eat a strawberry when your health falls around the 10 mark and you can stay in there for ages. Remember to leave 1 space empty to take a strawberry out of the basket." 10gp for Shilo Village banking (closest) 200 gp for entrance (Alternatively swap 5 or 6 lobs with agility pots to get ur agility level back up if u get hit from darts) What to Wear: Boots of lightness (from Temple of Ikov quest, it makes the weight u carry about 4 to 5kg less) NEVER use sharks, this will give u a lot more hp and make u get hit even more, it also wastes money and weighs u down even more. The minimum agility level is 1, however at 1 you can only do a few obstacles, to do ALL the obstacles requires 40 agility and is highly suggest :P here is a guide of what you should train agility from. Level 1 ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 40 Gnome Stronghold (You can start brimhaven agility now) Level 40 ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 52 Barbarian Outpost Level 52 ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 60 Wilderness Course OR Ape Atoll (fast and 7 exp better than wildy course, and it̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s not risky to train :P ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ you need to complete Monkey Madness quest to be able to get to use the course though) Level 60+ Brimhaven Agility Course (at 1k tickets it̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s 320k agility exp, wilderness becomes annoying because I personally kept getting pked by people with dds̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s that only killed me for food to keep going on the course, so I went at night time till I was 60 agility, then I went to Brimhaven for the good exp) Alternatively you can go to the agility pyramid at level 30 (It would be hard though) but at 75 agility I stopped failing the obstacles and all I had to do was go through the obstacles to the top and receive the exp, it̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s great exp, but wen you fail an obstacle you fall down to the next level of the pyramid, so you would be struggling if you̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re low level agility, I always use Brimhaven Agility Arena though because there̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s people, it̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s nice experience, and it̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s a lot more fun! Ticket Rewards: Number of tickets: Reward: 1 240 xp 3 Toadflax herb 10 Snapdragon herb 10 2,480 xp 25 6,500 xp 100 28,000 xp 800 Pirate̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s hook (worth 1.5 ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 2M) 1000 320,000 xp Obstacle: Exp: Ledge 16 Hand Holds 22 Blade 0 Spinning Blade 28 Darts 30 Rope Balance 10 Rope swing 20 Floor [bleep]es 24 Pressure Pads 26 Monkey Bars 14 Pillars 18 Low Wall 8 Low Balance 12 Planks 6 Here are the obstacles: How to get tickets: When you first enter the arena you̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll notice at the top right of your screen 2 boxes, the bottom box will be red (shown below in the picture) this means you cannot receive tickets yet. When you tag the pillar with the yellow arrow above it the signal will turn green, indicating you can now receive tickets from here on. If you happen to miss the next ticket, the symbol will go back to red, which means you̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll have to tag the next pillar to get it back to green, and then you can receive tickets again etc. Your tickets will get you rewards which you can trade with Pirate Jacky the Fruity (shown to the right of the picture below) just above the arena where you pay Cap̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢n Izzy No-Beard 200gp to enter. Aim of the game: Here, you race against the clock making your way to the flashing arrow above the particular pillar to receive a ticket. The flashing arrow changes to a different pillar every minute, sometimes you may get lucky and the next pillar might only be 1 obstacle away, it happens :P always note in your head the seconds it̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s taking you, if you keep failing an obstacle and you know you̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re not going to make it, and say you̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re failing darts to get through, don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t bother, otherwise you̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll lower your agility level a lot and it̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll make things harder, I tend to go around the darts, but if you have to go through them in order to make the pillar in time, you have to. Note: The pillars are RANDOM, so it's best to go the towers near the centre of the arena so that there's a better chance that you won't miss the next ticket - thanx guys, I forgot about adding this lol Keep your hitpoints 20 and below, that way you won̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t get hit as much damage, and you will be able to stay for much longer (once made 300 or so tickets in 1 trip) Obstacles to note: The darts lower your agility level by 1 or 2 levels (it̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s random) so it̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s best to go around them, but if you have to go through them, you have to go through them :S The blade is usually are a pain too, time it right, and you'll always make it across :P make sure you̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re pretty far away from the blade, then about 1 second after it goes down, click on the other side of the spinning blade (onto the next platform) so that by the time you get there, the spinning blade is up, which automatically stops you, then as soon as it goes back down, your character runs past the blade untouched. The planks are annoying IF you̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re late to the pillar, when the flashing arrow changes to the next pillar, the planks are automatically changed, so if you happen to click on the right plank (the one without all the holes which make you fail it) when the arrow switches it could possibly change, so you̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll go to the correct one, but then it changes and you fail it, so beware of that when you know you̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re going to be late to the next pillar and you have to use the planks. The spinning blades are a pain, I still get 0wned a lot from them, there̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s nothing you can do about it until your a higher agility level :S Handholds are also a pain, occasionally on the 2nd handhold you̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll fail, and it takes a while to get back up, the handholds are one of the longer obstacles to get pass, the darts probably come in 1st in the time department (because of the little movie of you dodging the darts ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ matrix style) so I don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t like using them, but if it means you have to go through either handholds or darts in order to get ur tix, u have to. For food, you could also use summer pies (Made with high level cooking) to temporarily increase your agility level by 5, or agility potions (made with the toadflax herb) which temporarily increases your agility level by 3. The pies are two bites, which heal 11 each, so they're almost like lobsters, so it's perfectly fine to use. For best results, go to a less crowded world (World 2 is always laggy) and use low detail, that way it makes the course easier to do, as you're not distracted by all the other things around you, like the lava below, and it makes the yellow arrow more visual to the eye. Also, it is easier to have ur view angle down high when you're ready to run off to your first tower, that way you can click in every direction, once you know where you're going, you should then go down to low angle to make things easier, as shown below. Remember, it doesn't matter if you're first or last, as long as you get the tix, it's all that matters :) P.S. Tix = Tickets :P it's an agility term lol Why I train agility (level 81 agility now): Ok, one day when I was around 83 combat, I went to the wildy course at 52 agility and started training, about half way through a pker came with a dragon dagger super poisoned (dds) and asked if I had any food. I said "yep, I have cakes" (Would of given them to him, all he had to do was ask) but instead he used all 4 dds specs on me, luckily not poisoning me, but got me down to around 10hp, so I frantically ran around trying to avoid him. I jumped across the rope swing, he ran around, nearly getting me, so I quickly ran over the lava pool, but oh noo, he was there waiting for me! I got over and he did 1 more spec, so I ate fast and ran over the log and ran to the wall and climbed up the slippery slope, by then he was just going across the log, and sure enough 10 seconds had passed and I was able to log out successfully. The funny thing is, the world I went into afterwards, was filled with about 3 level 120's+ I thought for sure I was doomed, however a guy named Cyrano74 gave me about 6 swordies of his to me telling me to keep it up :P I never knew he was ranked number 5th overall in the whole of runescape until a few weeks ago when I went onto the hiscores and there was his name right in front of me. Ever since i've been training agility along with combat (now level 122 - yes i've caught up :P) and ever since I was able to go through to the blue dragons in taverly i've always admired the skill, and even more so now that I can go to the black dragons in taverly using the [bleep]ed jump shortcut, and one day I hope to get rank 10 in agility. It's cool to know that even the most famous people in runescape still are nice even if they're begged to death by newbies in their lifetime lol - ty Cyrano74 for giving me those swordies, they've gone a long way :) Well there's my story of how I came to like Agility, here's some of the best benefits of Agility: -You get your energy up A LOT faster At: 70 - You can use the Pipe Squeeze in Taverly Dungeon just by the entrance to go through to the blue dragons! saves about 3 minutes and that is a lot of time when you combine it, it's great for blue dragon slayer tasks 71 - You can climb the [bleep]ed Chain Climb from level 2 to level 3 of the Canafis Slayer Tower, which saves you walking through the abberant specters and gargoyles. 80 - At 80 you can jump over the [bleep]ed Blades Jump in Taverly Dungeon just about 10 squares north, here you can go immediately into the poison spiders den, which you can then run into the black demon pit, the hellhounds and the black dragons for faster slayer tasks. 81 - At 81 you can jump over the [bleep]ed Blades Jump in the Slayer Dungeon in Relleka, from the entrance, go west and you can jump across the obstacle straight into the pyrefiends room, saves about 2 minutes special thanks to: Vlad_the_old - tipit crew Cyrano74 - making me want to train agility further Everyone that contributed and allowed me to edit the guide and make this even better for others p.s. if any mods want to modify it feel free to do so
