  1. Well it would not be quite that many: Death of Chivalry Bringing Home the Bacon The World Wakes Demon Slayer All count as 2013 quests. Which makes the usual 10-15 load of a year only missing 6-11 to have normal quest load for the year. Then we know we've got at least 4 more coming from the DoC QA hint (next quests about cannons, masks, feathers and crystals) If we assume those 4 including dwarf finale and missing presumed death it leaves 2-7 off of a normal year quest load. Even a couple of double quest months would put us right in the usual expected ballpark, I don't think 6 quests in 4 months is all that unlikely. We had 6 in sept-dec last year (2*Ozan, 2*Arriane, Doric remake, BoE) and that was in a year that saw 15 quests in total with the EoC too. Also why the assumption they'd be 'sprinting to catch up' from videos, QAs etc we know around this time of year they are mapping out project budgets and rough plans for 2014 so if they planned out such budgets for 2013 in the summer of 2012 they probably budgeted in the normal amount of quests, the fact said quests are not as even spread as usual does not mean they are 'sprinting to catch up' it would just mean in light of big updates starting the year their allotted budget got placed in the later end of the year.

I think comparatively LOK and TLA are kinda reversed. TLA was straight in to all the travelling and adventure and big story as Aang was so alone and lost, then towards the end you had a few stagnant moments where he spent a long time in one place preparing. LOK has started with those stagnant moments with her training in Republic City and now in book 2 is going to branch out. Book 2 certainly looks good to me and I feel like they have kinda listened to the viewers to make it better in that the main critique of Book 1 was the lack of travelling and seeing the world. I'm curious how long the Avatar franchise as a whole will run imo it'd make the most sense (if done well) to do four separate avatars consisting of 3-4 books each (Aang had 4 if you count The Promise, which I kinda wish they'd done animation for). That way we can sort of follow a whole cycle of Air, Water, Earth, Fire. Which I think would be the natural limit of the franchise, as re-visiting an element again would be a bit meh and 4 generations would give enough time to sort of finish the story of the air tribe being rebuilt and the fire nation being forgiven by the world. Of course they shouldn't do four if the series reaches a natural no-one really wants it to drag on and ruin itself stage, but most major shows seem to run for around 10-15 seasons; grouping them all together 3-4 books for 4 avatars would be 12-16 seasons.
  3. Did they not say a while ago that overall for the year we will have a 'normal' quest load meaning ~10-15 quests, just rs3 and divination had pushed a lot back. Implying that September-December ought to actually be quite quest heavy
  4. To my knowledge none of the big uk providers offer extra bandwidth, but equally most don't charge you for going over they just throttle your speeds til the end of the month; but then again most uk providers offer unlimited plans without a huge price leap from their limited ones.
  5. An elf quest does not have to be THE elf quest though, there is space for offshoots that just happen to use elves. Like we could explore more of elf gnome relations or the history of Baxtorian's kingdom and it is pretty much impossible to do Seren without doing elves. I do hope they get round to publishing the god tier thing soon, I wants to know the middle! After all as it stands we have Tier 1 - Elder Gods Tier 2 - Guthix, Zaros and Seren but all have lowered due to dying in some form or other Tier 3-5 - Presumably Bandos Saradomin Zamorak Armadyl all reside here. Tier 3-6 - Presumably all other named full gods are in this range Tier 6 - Possibly Amascut has achieved this tier Tier 7 - Het Crondis Scarabas Ampken Icthalrin Bandos Avatar and possinly Amascut still.
  6. The next quests will be about a) cannons, b) masks, c) feathers and d) crystals Sounds like dwarves, ? , armadyl maybe and elves/seren maybe?
  7. Like I said 'much of the uk is yet to have access to fibre optics' the implication being some does, but not all. Bt Infinity is BT's fibre optic package.
  8. I don't think you even need to go that far. Just some simple, perfectly logical thing that contradicts their 'facts' (also know as speculative theories that cannot be called facts) would do the trick to annoy them. After all they make theories, call them facts then make theories based on those 'facts' so any contradict creates a nice tumbling house of cards effect. Eg V---- is not the god; that'd ruin so many of their 'facts'
  9. Thye ought to make the mini-game box minigame/quest or make a quest box specifically for the purpose of prelocating any such random one off items from quests. It was a pita for me as it appeared right behind my map and I had to fiddle around to pull it out.
  10. The frozen door is the exit. They even comment on how the tomb is somewhere in the frozen north as evidence by the snow around near the entrance. Given the stylings and 'frozen north' most likely the door is buried somewhere around GWD region since much of the fighting seems to of been there and Forinthry aka wildy.
  11. The bit that really got me was Sara being like 'I was hoping you'd raise the centaurs for me' It's like right so you think I should be doing that as the virtuous guy who passed the tests so can use the wand correctly so WHY did you insist on taking the wand from me a second ago to save Owen when I was quite happy to do it myself -.-
  12. I've always find them guys a bit annoying because loads of their 'lore' is actually speculation and theories they declare as fact; then they get all butt hurt if you have an alternate view.
  13. But in a way that is easily twisted out of; after all arguably we have not met Robert the Strong only Bob. It is possibly to make a distinction between reincarnations especially when they is such obvious differences separating them.
  14. Ever since Osbourne said that I kinda thought it must be him. He just fits the bill, we know he spent some sizable amount of time with the Stone, would make sense he 'partly ascended.' Part of me wonder if V----- = Robert the Strong = Bob the Cat sort of like he partly ascended but not all the way yet so he can still die but that godly part of him brings him back to life. Would explain Robert's success in kin slaying and why he seemed to be aware he'd come back again in the Kethsi stuff. Perhaps not the most likely route, but it'd be interesting. The only other person I even thought of in passing to be the guy (though he doesn't fit the quest bill unless I'm forgetting something) is Dahmaroc I mean he made the completionist cape he's deffo got serious power. Either way I'd LOOOVVVVE to see a way to finally free him and explore such a powerful guy so far out of place in time.
  15. English pronounce Ivan weird? I'd say eye-van, just like I've always used eye-ban for Iban Trying to say eee-van like they have for eee-ban for Ivan would just confuse matters as to if you mean Evan or Ivan imo.
  16. Malibu and coke is my go to drink of late Though vodka coke is still high on the list.
  17. I think that is what Sy was getting at. Tell the new player what they need to know right now, then as they explore and decided to try, say mining, an option for a tutorial appears. Very much so, to me for the initial tutorial all you really need is: 1) Moving, camera controls and world map 2) Brief overview of skills as in covering the basic types of skills (gatherer, artisan, combat, support) and what sort of things they offer 3) Basic overview of combat (classes, weaknesses, idea of abilities with emphasis on momentum) 4) Friends list, clan chats that sort of thing. Then later tutorials as you go to use a skill can cover the details of the mining process and pickaxes or w/e.
  18. It has bluetooth cupholders.
  19. No. You can stop and go off to do other things at pretty much any point. But how would a new player know this. Would they feel that had to do what they are saying. Its harder to vision how a person would first feel entering runescape. ^ This Nothing actually prevents you from leaving and doing other stuff but nothing actually tells you that you can either. Without fore knowledge the way it is constructed makes it feel very much as though you have to keep going til you hit the end because that is what you are told to do at each stage and traditionally you can't skip tutorials.
  20. Dwarven stick of wonder. You can even attach an imp box to the bottom for remote banking.
  21. And it will be able to pop a net out the top for those pesky implings, whilst the bottom will dispense a grapple.
  22. I don't dislike the tutorial we have atm; I think it does do a good job for all bar combat. However I do see how it is a bit too much and having ALLLLLLLL that in one go can be overwhelming and just leave people confused, hence my idea about breaking it down so you get the tutorial as and when you go to that skill.
  23. Well yeah the tutorials would just cover the basics with more advanced ones being as brief as possible. My idea was more centred around the fact of breaking it up so it's not a massive ass tutorial that tries to show you everything in one go; instead you have the basic guidance that to access when you please OR it'll pop up the first time you go to use a skill. As in you do not remotely see a mining tutorial at all unless you click in to it or when you go to mine your first rock it'll pop up and give you an overview of the process. Would offer the freedom to explore and learn as you please, with the little nudge of a tutorial as and when you come to use a skill with the possibility of extra tutorial fragments at later points to cover more breadth of the skill that becomes relevant. Ergo the lvl 6 hunter tutorial would introduce some of the other basic hunting types and the fact there are other areas just to add to what the basic burthorpe f2p polar area explained. A level 6 farming tutorial could just cover that there are other types of patches for different uses.
  24. I think runescape would benefit from a more dynamic tutorial system. Like at start you have a very basic brief tutorial introing the concept of skills and moving and friends and such. Then have tutors that pop up and take you through each skill as you try to use them, maybe even for some skills have tutors re-appear at set levels to explain more advanced concepts. And deffo have 'members' tutorials that are a bit more in-depth at level 6 of skills that are p2p only and maybe even for the split skills at say level 50+ as soon as you become a member. Also make the first tutorials available via clicking on the skills (left-click if not done, right-click for replay)
