  1. Keystones are definitely not hard to get. In 1 unicorn of fighting I always get 1+ though average is ~3.5
  2. I'm curious how this was easier than the Black Knights Fortress the basics of that quest was put fake armour on, walk in to fortress, go through a hidden wall to overhear stuff, chuck a cabbage down a hole to ruin their plans, win. This quest at least had some combat and a few puzzles.
  3. Officially they are 'Bright Green' not yellow as seen in the newspost that mentioned silver unstable nodes being in addition to their existing orange and bright green.
  4. Using the world guardian dialogues was fun they felt as if they shortcutted matters. I dunno if that plan sounds so WORLD GUARDIAN Ok lets go. You sure it seems awfully... WORLD.....GUARDIAN FINE JEEZE Now that is just a gun pointed at us clearly... WOR.. OK FINE LETS DO IT -.-
  5. I did read it, but for simplicity sake of referencing how to open it with the knowledge one has prior to reading it is why I chose that wording.
  6. Are you kidding me? I just wasted 4 weeks for nothing. You can't just change it in the middle of an event. Now it's useless. Should have been changed the first week, or not at all. 25 tiers better than every other f2p armor set is a little OP though. Definitely worth changing. It's a hybdrid armour, so the -15 tier penalty is in effect. So? So now it's useless, instead of being a tier 60, which is not a big jump at all. I don't get how the best f2p armor is useless Because it won't be the best anymore. Previously t75 hybrid meant t60 def which is an improvement over their t50 gear limitations AND hybrid to boot. Now after Bol ends it'll cap out at t50 for F2p meaning it'll only have T35 defence, worse than their existing gear AND worse than the dragonstone hybrid set they can buy which being t60 offers t45 defence and hybridness.
  7. Can't find one personally, does seem strange to have the option there with no function though. Dulcin's journal is quite interesting (and puntastic) For anyone who can't put 2 and 2 together:
  8. I thought the zammy armour was meant to be cosmetic post-quest? Seems like it is not. One gripe I did have was the whole choices:consequences thing did not seem to be done overly well. Some dialogues seemed to be giving a choice, but was just random dialogue with only 1 option to offer progress, whilst other parts that were choices either did not seem like they would be or seemed like they'd give further sub options or a way to back pedal a bit before they just happen. The golden cabbage kind of annoys me too, it's a nice nod and all but imo it perhaps shouldn't just be there with no explanation as anyone new to the game is not going to understand it. Also @Hedgehog spoiler thing: To people struggling to find post-quest rewards:
  9. As covered already text-chat over skype would only amount to a few kb a day at most, voice chat your looking at ~50-80kb/s so longer calls could add up a bit but it's not too bad. Video calls, depending on quality are likely to be up nearer to like 200-500kb/s
  10. I would not say today's speeds are such a universal thing; for example much the UK is yet to have access to fibre optic broadband and therefore are stuck at like 10mb/s max over phone lines and your lucky if you can actually get that speed or even half of it. I certainly find the need to prebuffer youtube videos or face them random pausing when it plays faster than it loads. (Admittedly I do watch in HD wherever possible, but still)
  11. Given player opinion on exquisite was they look hideous I thought it was apparent it was an example of what jagex do for 'style' which we dislike aka an insanely guilded mess.
  12. I know what you were trying to say, but here's why that still is a really crappy point to make: They can't just "do whatever" unless it makes sense somehow within the game according to the logic the game presents. You can't just buy a magical fairy that heals you to full health and prevents you from death without making it fit into the game in a way that doesn't clash with existing methods that do the same thing (eating to heal in this case). You can't just create a skill called organic chemistry without designing it with Runescape in mind. You can't just do something just because you think you can do anything. One game that does that often is AdventureQuest (first example that came to mind) and it suffers greatly for it. I think to put what you alluding to in broad terms it's the classic fantasy trap: Getting out of any corner with magic/gadgets/chi/any other vague fantasy concept opposed to giving it limits to make the world have a sense of its own realism.
  13. But google makes it so easy to find for yerself and being a chrome user I don't have reason to know of it's function elsewhere; plus it is rather off-topic. But I googled: http://www.chromeactions.com/ Works from firefox and opera seemingly. Very useful for pre-buffer (it auto-pauses asap and then lets it buffer) plus can auto set the res you wanna watch in and stuff
  14. Yes but style does not have to be separate from realism - player opinion on things like exquisite weapons and such like clearly show that whislt we do want things to look good we also want things that look fit for purpose rather than insanely gilded mess.
  15. I quite like the head and the tail IF we assume it is acting as a smelter & could be a hammer (hence the back end) the extra pointy bits are like meh though. I often feel like Jagex logic is trying to make things look all elegant and nice, which is perfectly ok for fashion cosmetic stuff but in actual functional items we WANT things like the brutal weapon overrides or the newer bol over-rides (ignoring the hammers) where yes they have some style that looks bad-ass but mostly it seems built around the core function of the item.
  16. Yeah trying to apply real world logic to healing in any game rarely makes sense since sipping potions or stuffing absurd amounts of food into ur face will never logically equate to healing wounds by any logic other than 'magic.' Just the same way it doesn't make any sense that some games you suddenly are fine as soon as you escape combat for a bit.
  17. I've not had any trouble with pre-buffers on youtube using 'magic actions' add-on in chrome.
  18. Assuming they are the same identical file there is no difference in bandwidth. Streaming is basically a temporary download, it allows you to watch the file live instead of waiting but it still has to download the exact same data to your system. What is true, however, in things like TV and movie is streams tend to be lower res than downloads so they are less data but this is only due to the quality difference.
  19. Tbf the half skirt thing makes more sense in realistic use terms; offers the all round armouring to the legs without the complication of weird joints that offer weak spots and limit joint movement plus it's not to long that it acts to entangle the feet and slow movement or pose a tripping hazard.
  20. The food thing is good though as it ensures the entire spectrum of food items have a use and it also aids in balancing of lower tier content as low levels can't simply buy food that will heal them nearly all their hp in 1 bite. And like I said they never said it was NEEDED they just said it was done so they could do more with it in the future; there is a stark difference between claiming something is needed and then doing nothing with it and changing something simply to give more options and then doing little with it.
  21. But if you can't even do a regions voyages well due to lack of crew levels and ship upgrades the next region is the last thing you really want or need as it'll just make matters worse.
  22. They didn't say hp > constitution was needed they said it gave them more options for the skill in the future. Admittedly they have done very little with it thus far, but the constitution vs cooking req for food is at least a mild start.
  23. ^Worth noting that notification is for earning through combat. The 3 skill points have alternate messages, fishing is along the lines of "You drag up an odd item in your net whilst fishing for tears" "you have unlocked the title..." Also in my experience the sharpshooters will attack players at random been afking once or twice and come bk to being pummelled by them on a quiet world.
  24. Getting your third and forth ship takes priority over EVERYTHING ELSE. Really? Was not the consensus all those pages back fewer successful voyages > more failed voyages with new ship early on contributing to the later due to the fact you simply cannot get high percentages early in a region due to lacking the upgrades and having weak crew to level up. Making the 4th ship especially redundant early in the region as you simply do not have the means to send out that many voyages at a reasonable success rating.
  25. Your new BoL guide misses off one very important thing: The rocks falling random results in large meteor style rocks around the field (2-3 of them) which can be mined for a Divine Shard worth 30 tears. You can only have 1 of these on you at any given time. Also you have missed the 4 random titles from the rewards. When killing or skilling in Bol it is possible to randomly find Username the Boundless and Username the Eternal (both are purple text) Equally 2 more side-specific titles can be found like this the Powerful (in red) for zammy) and the Virtuous (in blue) for Sara
