I definitely agree they got worse for some and those most likely effected had a bank full of em; but I still don't think it really justifies calling it a nerf since it did get replaced with a better way to do what you were doing and itself got transformed in to something that can aid a whole new subset of trainers. Especially not in the context of mindless rants about how it's all ruined because porters are 'worse' due to costing to much etc when even a brief glance at ge values, a small amount of experience with div and a smidge of common sense about rising/falling values shows there a clear profit margin in them and one that is substantial enough that it is unlikely any but the noobiest one will lose profitability and even if an extreme does happen there is at least 1 choice that is near impossible to lose it's profit margin.

I really think Jagex needs to rethink their update system when things like this happens; they seem to schedule updates on the basis of when it is supposed to be finished with dev leaving little to no buffer for any hiccups. I'd much rather they sit on a perfectly completed update for 1-2 weeks before it is released and have that extra time for QA than have them keep rushing stuff out so much. Especially cause with just that slightly longer QA they could actually check for some of the stupid omissions or slip ups akin to enriched nodes having the exact same 'abuse' issue as warbands or D&Ds (eg warbands and sinkholes) not having a time until next thing coded in to them even though player response has clearly shows we want that.

Not really true. From day 1 runescape has been about playing YOUR way; in the first few days of course this meant much more DIY due to lack of skills bit even then quickly people developed roles. There were smiths and miners and fishers and cooks and we played the way we wanted to traded to get what else we needed. To say runescape was 'meant to be played' DIY is utter bs and forcing your play-style/desires on to others, even if only passively because it is simply not true.

This so much. TWW and future quests are specifically looking at the fact we are NOT just anybody there is something special about us; something that has drawn us in to so many big events something that has made us survive them, something that has made us able to save so many people. We are not just any other shmuck, heck we aren't even any other hero we are something MORE even before Guthix filled us up with some powers.

Like I said energy is only getting cheaper and is so easy to get en-mass it's not worth buying. Plus as I clearly showed even with current values for a reasonably high energy there is still profit margin with buying energy. And yes the necklaces may go up in value a bit, but I doubt they will rise enough to wipe out profit margins. Sapphire would need 250% rise to wipe out porter 1, nearly 600% to wipe out porter 2. Emerald 650% and nearly 900% needed to wipe out profits. Ruby 650% Diamond 460% With rises like that needed I doubt any but porter 1 will be knocked out of profitability and even if they do get insane rises to near 400% it's not going to wipe out all profit on any others; heck porter 4 need suck a big rise that one is near impossible to become a lose.

I'm unclear how you are supposed to be making a loss with porters. Gold ore - 426gp Saph neck - 620gp Emerald neck - 848 gp Ruby neck - 1404gp Diamond neck - 2251gp Porter 1 - 5 charges, 620gp cost 2130gp on banked gold. 1510gp profit. Porter 2 - 10 charges, 620gp cost, 4260gp on gold. 3640gp profit. Porter 3 - 15 charges, 848gp cost, 6390gp on gold. 5542gp profit. Porter 4 - 20 charges, 848gp cost, 8520gp on gold. 7627gp profit. Porter 5 - 25 charges, 1404gp cost, 10650 on gold. 9246gp profit. Porter 6 - 30 charges, 2251gp cost, 12780 on gold. 10529gp profit. Given how easy energy is to get en-mass vs how many you need for a porter its not really worth buying it in to make them and even if you do decide to buy it the current values are not a good measure since they are inflated by early demand. Even so, at current values I've seen whilst training vibrant was going for ~100 ea past couple of days; that's 4500gp for Porter 4 energy, 5348 cost vs 8520 of gold is by no means a loss.

I think porters will be quite good in the end; I can't see them upping the value of the secondary too much because they aren't going to made in huuuuuggggge numbers and the value of energy is only coming down as the rush for 99 dies down in each tier, not to mention its not even that slow to get large amounts of energy, especially if you turn in memories for energy

The fact people with juju may be a bit nerfed in time spent getting them is neither here nor there imo cause the signs are much better for miners who want to bank. Just take like 10 urns and 18 signs leave 1 space via equip and let the signs work their magic. 540 ores banked by the time you run outta signs which I'm fairly sure is more than you'd get from 5 mins of juju. The old juju was a nice little bonus, but highly ineffectual compared to the signs and given the popularity of the smelt drop mining method vs banking the new juju seems as though it'd actually appeal to more people than the old one did. Sure the people who liked banking and therefore the old one lose out on it but they get the signs, which are even better.

Saradomin explained that while it would have been possible for you to perform the first resurrection, it would have required abilities far beyond your capability to perform a second, as Sir Owen had already been resurrected once by Dawn, only to be killed by you. Assuming you believe his word, which he hasn't given us reason to do thus far.

Tbf you COULD use the wand on him and do it yourself. Jagex just coded it so that you cannot because they need Owen corrupted for the future of the series and that requires Saradomin to do it. A purposefully coded out choice is not equal to us being actually as a character unable to do it. The entire premise of the quest is setup that we, as the one who passed all 3 tests, are clearly worthy and able to use the wand correctly; the fact Saradomin refuses us that opportunity speaks volumes; especially as he then wants us to use the wand on the centaurs later. It would've been perfectly acceptable for us to do it, but due to story requirements it was coded so we do not even have the choice to do so and Saradomin would rather blast us with magic than hear our reason for not wanting to give him the wand. He didn't even do it out of desperation particularly imo just out of wanting the wand to do things his way. I mean was he really concerned for Owen or just the fact he'd lost one of his strongest supporters? I mean look how quickly he kicked him out of the Temple Knights and did not even give him a chance to prove her can fight the corruption; it was like I need him give me the wand...oh well he's screwed lets see who else we can get to do errands for me.

The portents of healing are kinda lame as they heal much less than food. Sign of the Porter seems good though, especially for gathering skills and dragon slaying. Since they work on dhides you can effectively ~double the profit of dragons with no extra banking via sign(s) banking hides whilst you horde bones.

^ Really? They've been appearing since day 1 week 2 (when vote 1 ended) The two crafter families are in the house over the river near the goblins. The number of guards increased. Some fally knights appeared. The guards got rune weapons. aaannnnnnnnd The druids are above the gate of the castle. The middle 3 in particular are quite noticeable since they aren't sort of tucked away in a corner.

I do not care if we go bankrupt anyone who does not vote for guard spiders must be taken outside and sacrificed to Brassica Prime. Also Druid wardsmen? Waste of money the darn fools are above the gating facing Al-Kharid with their warding spell; we don't need shielding that way!

Pretty much the only route that really bypasses any arsery is if you are his support in the first place AND opt to hand over the wand no questions and even with that in mind, assuming you are blind to all other dialogue choices (unlike all of people who like lore) there's still there 'we must get it to stop zammy using it for war but y'know I will use it for that' and the 'I want to raise the centaurs cause it's my fault they all died for making them fight..and they'll be great troops in the coming war' elements that aren't exactly awww I'm all sunshine and roses. Not to mention he corrupts Owen not matter want proving a lack of virtue and the fact he can just tele in at the end shows that he only used us as a tool to clear the wards since he clearly couldn't.

That pdocast offers another classic example (imo) of Jagex does not understand player response fully: They are still harking on about how Death of Chivalry made Saradomin less 'evil' and shows a sympathetic side to him...erm yeah player base reaction mostly seems to be the exact opposite. I'm not even sure how they think it supposed to make him seem less evil. You must get the wand to stop Zamorak using it to further war > Transpires he wants it to make more troops essentially. I was young and foolish when I decided to kill the Naragi for not following me > What you won't do as I wish? Let me blast you with my magic to try and kill you. Oh dear I corrupted Owen > I was hoping you'd raise the centaurs for me now cause I'm asking nicely after I realised your the one who could actually use the wand safely, lets jsut forget the trying to kill you bit hey? I was hoping to raise the centaurs because they died for me ='[ > Of course they might fight for me in the coming war, but y'know we have the wand so yolo. It's like really? This is meant to make him seem less of a douche? Basically everything he says and does is counterpointed with actions that show he hasn't changed at all and/or ulterior motives.

Warpriest of Zamorak/Saradomin - worth getting?
Personally I think warpriest is great for questers. Going in blind on day 1 a zero risk set where you can use all 3 combat styles easily will make for a bit little less danger/risk.

Oxhead and horseface
Yeah they are very rare on the PoP thread in gen discussion there was a 'challenge' about getting 3 oxhead with matching flavour text on your crew interface. I've had 2 (none matching flavour text) sat there since ~feb/mar and with rerolling third most days I've yet to see another.

It's only perfect if your only requirement for a skill is that you can get xp and 99. If you actually want some depth to it, or enjoyment, it's sorely lacking. I don't think it is. People just notice this big whole as there is nothing to do with energy at the moment beyond a few basics. But that is not an incompleteness or flaw with the skill itself; I mean on it's own fishing is just getting useless raw fish. On it's own mining is just getting useless ores. On it's own woodcutting is just getting useless logs. With the only result of all being 99s. The difference is those skills have their follow ups. Fishing serves a purpose because we can cook what we get. Mining because we can smith what we get. Woodcutting because we can fletch or burn what we get. The flaw is not in this skill itself but on the lack of it's companion artisan skill that turns energy in to something with a purpose.

In my opinion what devalues a cape is the number of people who have said cape. The more that have it the less status it has and thus the less value.

Means something until 3-4 months now when most, if not all, of the ~15k players who were maxed have re-maxed plus probably ~5k people who maxed divination but are not max/comp cape folks. Then 99 means about as much as every other one.

Report Your Divination XP Rates
"- Tier you are at (if T6 or T8 make sure you mention whether it is before or after 55/75, as the additional energy earned after these levels may prove to make a difference)" What is this even meant to be referring too? There's nothing special or unique about T6 or T8 or level 55 and 75. The only unique ones are T9-12 as they occur at lvl 80, 85, 90 and 95. Also surely it is important part of the report to say which option was used when depositing? Seeing as option 1 wipes off like 95% of the xp, option 2 is 'normal' and option 3 gives like 15% more xp; regardless of if they used option 3 like you did. And yeah Yuj etc have the glitch right as it stands the first level of a tier is giving faaar more enriched than it should whilst 2nd and 3rd levels are giving next to nothing before the 4th level finally gets back to the normal rate. Jmods have recognised this glitch and are working on it.

I'm unclear on what you mean by you can't get it back? As far as I was aware you enter the Death Altar and use the crystal on it which triggers the action in which you charge it and then after the animation you are still holding the crystal but it is charged ready to be taken back to the black crystal.
