  1. In many ways I wonder if 2014-16 will be a turn around for jagex/rs. Between rs3 and hopefully html5 upping the game as it were plus (assuming it stays like it is now) the non-bot-riddled status will disseminate via word of mouth and do some work on healing the games rep. Cracking tablets could also offer potential for turn around as if people are playing on tablets there's more chance that people will be playing in front of friends or in public which ought to help "word of mouth" growth more than us all sat in your bedrooms/offices squirreling away at the computer with no-one to see 9/10.
  2. Nope if you watch the cutscene he fires it, we leap to dodge it. As we face plant on the concrete the wand slips from our hand and he pops over to it to grab it before we can pick it up.
  3. But I didn't use bone crusher when I got my 5 that should've been 6; seems more just combat in general is a bit buggy in detection due to multiple skills at once.
  4. I find the thing with saradomin getting the wand off of us quite childish. He couldn't actually use his godly powers on his; he just fired magic at us causing us to instinctively dodge thereby making us drop the wand so he could take it. For all we know we could've just stood there and his magic would've done nothing to us.

Maybe it's just bugged like the banana challenge (You could eat faster than it registered eating resulting in miscounts I ate 60 bananas to get the 50/50) and it can't handle more than 5 skills in a simultaneous xp pop. Someone on balance melee slayer task that with bonecrusher/ectoplasmator would be interesting to see if they get all 6 counted.
  6. I think combat may be slightly bugged for the 15 skills. I hit a werewolf with ice barrage then a bow shot then whacked it with balmung til it died. I had melee set to balanced xp. I got 5 skills instead of 6 ticked off. At first I thought maybe magic didn't count since I only hit once and tht was on the man before it transformed, but then I teleported and it didn't count either so magic must've been in the 5. I definitely got ranged xp because (being sub-99) the xp counter popped. So that leaves 3 skills but balanced should've done att str def plus a kill in general should've given hp xp. So as far as I can tell hp xp didn't count.
  7. You can get the weapon override parts from skilling spots however fishing spots are bugged and you don't actually get given the item, just the chat box message. If you were mining or wcing the infernal or icynic bowstaff item would've appeared for you.
  8. Yeah I really don't see how the lamps or pendants obtained for 1-3 spins a day make things 'to easy' they don't really give that much xp at all. You get far far far more xp from any number of normal day-to-day runescape activities such as daily challenges, penguins, trolls, circus etc. Heck the pendants don't even directly give xp; you still have to train the skill to use them not to mention if you are really anti getting a minute bit of bonus xp you can destroy them or convert them to coins. The only time sof really makes things easy is if you spend a buttload of cash on spins and thereby get like 20+ lamps in a matter of hours; but the free spins aren't going to do that for ya.
  9. For the 'super September' challenges they are available for one day and one day only. September first was using 10 portents of restoration, nothing to do with creating them, and cannot be turned in anymore. As for normal daily challenges they still act as normal and can be found in the challenges tab of the 'adventures' menu accessed via the compass icon on the 8 menu buttons. Todays super challenge is training 15 different skills and will be active for ~16 more hours; after this the September 6th challenge will appear and you will be unable to do today's one anymore. In this context I assume you mean 'customisation' of the interfaces; this is simple. Many panels within the 8 menus can be dragged out on to the screen as menus and (if editing is unlocked via the little padlock on the menu bar) they can be closed again via an x button. With the editing unlocked you can drag around, resize and 'pop' in to each other for tabbed windows pretty much any interface on screen to create a layout that works for you.
  10. Did anyone trying to save lamps etc in invent for div realise it will get in the way of super sept? We know from bts vid an upcoming challenge requires holding 28 different food items at once.
  11. Most jmods made murmurings about 4 weeks, so i wouldnt expect any change for another fortnight.
  12. I'd agree with Quyneax. End game, by definition, means the final setup. If you are using parrots because you have some stats to max its not your final setup and thus not the endgame. Equally I dunno if parrots/xp voyages are even worth it; they are fine to do if your not maxed and there is nothing else you can send out of course but as an actual purposefully sought source of xp they are a bit meh. You can get much more xp much faster by actually training the skills and in terms of gp:hr the money you save by using xp voyages for some (eg prayer) is outweighed by the profits to be made from using resource voyages to make port armours and scrimshaws to flog. 25k rc/slayer/fish xp is ~15 minutes, 6 plates is 650k based on the tetsu plate prices posted on the last page+a negligible amount of smithing xp. so unless you value your time at <2.6m/hr, xp voyages are more valuable in terms of time. Not to mention it's much easier to 100% xp voyages, and 2 of each statue is a bigger overall increase then 4 in one. By the same logic that endgame=maxed, endgame=all item goals achieved, so TGs and xp would be equally useless. When we're discussing endgame, it's in relation to ports, as in all stories/scrolls/armor completed. Yes I know what endgame means, my point was no matter what your goals are inside or outside of ports xp statues are not going to the be final thing you leave there for ever; they have a finite usage so the endgame of ports is the only indefinitely useful setup: 4 jade statues.
  13. That's only part of the Super September promotion. It's unlikely they will keep that past the promotion's expiration. Still, that's an entire month of easily achievable loyalty points. An entire month that earns you enough to buy all of 0-1 of the vast majority of the SGS items buyable with loyalty.
  14. Mod Dylan(or i might've been Drake) was in-game where I was and did say they are 'rolling it out a bit at a time' and more will be buyable later. So we might get some better stuff to buy later, but who knows how much later, feels almost as if they are using this as trial to test how much we will spend. IMO with 30k a month being the max most things should not be higher than ~70k and nothing should be more than ~100k

It is a lot less than 19 months since u now seem to get 2 lots of loyalty: One for consecutive membership One for total membership So at 1yr+ on both you get 30k a month, assuming you start at 0 that means: 1k 6k 10k 14k 16k 18k 20k 22k 24k 26k 28k 30k 215k for 1 yr consecutive for ground 0. Still over priced, but not quite 19 months
  16. Well this is a big let down. Pointless milestone rewards, barely anything buyable with loyalty and what is is predominantly the less appealing stuff and pretty much all vastly overpriced.
  17. It's rolled out fine, they just can't reload the game and external servers at the same time so soloman's server is now being reloaded to update that end of things. As confirmed by jmods in-game.
  18. Cause its plain and boring and we have easier to obtain better looking crowns. Not to mention how much they hyped milestone rewards as some big reward for ur loyalty and its a frigging crown. No emote, no xp, no functional use heck it's even an ITEM instead of an override as part of an update tht specifically made items into overrides in recognition of the fact we prefer them. Then of course the fact the that two year milestone reward is virtually identical to the 1 year reward so it doesn't even offer any sort of distinguishing feature that you are more loyal.

Also I like how the super hyped 'milestone' rewards are hideous near identical bronze tiara/crown things...because useless items that look fugly and have no use is just what we all want especially crown cause it's not like we don't have several other better looking choices.
  21. Yeah that thing re-appears everytime you log in after getting new spins or when you log in more than 15 minutes after having dismissed it. They only reliable way to get rid of it is to use the free spins; which in reality isn't a bad thing since there's nothing wrong with free stuff.
  22. I don't see an issue with it being slightly delayed due to warbands. Those things happen once every 7 hours, depending on timezones etc many people can only get to 1 wave a day at most. It is quite a big hit to miss out on that entirely for an update, besides it's not like they did just because 1 maxed fc mentioned it - they did for the hundreds of players who do warbands at any given wave who have stats of all levels.

  24. The beta outfit did get extended, but that was more to do with the beta being extended and the on-going needed to tempt people into it than any sort of being nice.
  25. I don't even see why there was remotely any confusion at all about the ring task; was pretty obvious it meant a full upgraded ring and not 12 fully upgraded rings. Especially seeing as it is 323k tokens for a single ring at max; aka 3.23m dg xp and they explicitly said it would not require over 99 and doing all 12 would need over 38m xp for the tokens. Even using sinkholes I don't think its possible to get all them tokens and not hit 99.
