  1. Have you used search on bank instead of just looking? Sometimes I look and look for something to an avail but search and its right there.
  2. 'resolves the entire story' seriously over sells what this quest does - it's more like 'finds excuses to get rid of all the plot threads without really resolving anything that has been built up to'
  3. Yes. One of the most common methods for doing the eggs fast is to camp Barb fish (since high hp per hour rate = high prawn ball/cracker rate) until you acquire all 3 of their eggs plus 11 un-opened mystery eggs and/or gold crackers then open the lot and tada all 14.
  4. Sounds like they are keeping minigame weekend for Thalers launch...good.
  5. I hate how loyalty points seem to take forever to build up vs the prices these days. I haven't even spent any in like half a year and I still can't really afford anything. Finally giving more action bars makes me happy - at present I have dw melee, 2h magic, dw ranged for my main bars. 2h ranged for dg and then are 'whatever I need' bar. But I've always wanted space to have shield bar setup to throw w/e class in if needed and a bar for more longterm 'whatever i need' use ie a farming bar or a chompies bar or w/e
  6. No. For that room you want to make 1 trap and place it exactly where the ferret starts in the middle of the room then hide. After a short time running it will calm down and return to that spot and be caught. Chasing it it just runs through the trap half the time and takes waaaaaay longer than hiding and waiting.
  7. Yeah you'd need 2 because you have to keep your own. Coming out of ritual 1 you should have your sigil then get Denath, Tanya and Eric's sigils for a total of 4 which you can then dole out to the fathers and golem.
  8. According to RSwiki dialogue transcripts the convo should go like below. If it's not it implies you do not have a sigil to give him. You should've picked up Denath's sigil if you didn't you have to smith another You should've picked up Tanya's sigil in the basement where she died, if you didn't again more smithing. You should've got Eric's sigil from Evil Dave. You then give these 3 to the 2 fathers and golem. Father Reen: What's happening? This sandstorm came out of nowhere!Player: Denath was Agrith-Naar all along! Now he's back in his own dimension!Father Reen: Oh no! What can we do?Player: You've got to help me perform the ritual again so I can kill him!Father Reen: Oh! Oh dear! I don't think I could take part in a demonic ritual!Player: But isn't that what you and Badden asked me to do?Father Reen: But things are different for me! I'm a monk! What if my order found out?Player: But the wizards will all die! Now Agrith-Naar is in his own dimension he's killing them one by one!Father Reen: They should have known better than to join Denath in his evil schemes!Player: Oh, don't be so simple-minded! You'll be summoning a demon in order to kill it, to rid the world of great evil!Father Reen: Well... all right.Player: Now take this demonic sigil, and hurry inside!
  9. I'd check your in-game quest log to see what it says you are supposed to be doing. Odds are you've skipped a step ie talking to someone else first so his dialogue is just playing a closed circle conversation that goes nowhere.
  10. "In fact I think dungeoneering should be a mini-game not a skill. In fact it would work so much better as a mini-game. It would still be a bad mini-game but it would work better that way. Why do I hate this skill? Well it's simple, because it's just so dull. Demonhaven basically has the dull version of everything in the regular game. You have those dull monsters to fight those dull ores to use smithing with. Those dull types of fish. There just isn't anything in Demonhaven that's worth it to me. Now I'm aware that the skill can be rewarding. But I don't like it." So how much free time do you have before we get into this little tidbit? I feel compelled to 'correct' that quote to something that doesn't ramble and would be more pleasing to the ear: "I think dungeoneering should be a mini-game not a skill, it would still be bad but it would be better that way. Why do I hate it? Well it's simple, it's just so dull. Daemonheim just has dull versions of things from the regular game. Dull monsters, dull ores, dull fish. It just doesn't seem worth it to me, even if it can be rewarding, I just don't like it." Tada half the length, half the time taken, all the points remain and it uses better English so it is more pleasing to read/hear. If this is what your 'elaborating' and 'having a lot to say' is like then I stand by my point whole heartedly, the videos are too long for what the content is.You didn't have a lot to say or really elaborate, you spoke in circles and repeated things in a overly wordy inelegant manner that does nothing to add to your point or meaning. I admit opening few words may not suit context since I went from this lone quote and nothing else, but that's easy to amend.
  11. Glancing at your thread in media forum I can see several issues that would be limiting the number of views you get. 1) Half your videos don't have a proper thumbnail, just a random shot from the video 2) Half the videos look low quality and blurry 3) The thumbnails you do have are pretty poor - plain white bg, boring fonts, orange font that blends into bg 4) Most are FAR too long - average youtubers do videos of around 10 minute max, most top-x lists (unless from an already established channel that is known for giving loads of details or a topic that needs a lot of explaining) usually rock around 5 minutes. I see a top 15 thats rocking 20 mins, even allowing some intro outro time thats over 1 minute per entry on the list. You need to make it quick and snappy. Essentially the 'click-bait' side of a video people judge before committing to watching it isn't very tantalising. People need an eyecatching well made thumbnail that shows good video quality to grab their attention, then they need to see a video length they are happy to spend watching to be tempted to actually click the play button. Of course another huge floor is expecting to get massive view figures for very basic runescape videos that you are posting to a runescape forum - oh great a video of some kid killing the kbd? How exciting! Oh no wait I can go and do that myself right this very second and get more entertainment value from it since I play the game myself.
  12. I've got an MSI GS60 2PC Ghost 3k Pro laptop at present.
  13. Not that I'm going to watch it either, but he has a very good point. Also this sort of thread comes off very 'fishing for views' plus it'd be hard to judge any sort of top X as being 'wrong' or 'right' since they are the subjective opinion of the person(s) making the list. Your top 5 worst skills may be totally 'wrong' to me as they could include some of my favourites, but it doesn't make your list actually wrong.
  14. Tbh I think in most cases its not about profits as much as it is about quality. Where battery tech is at right now a decent laptop battery should easily out live most other system parts (like hdd and cpu) or at least long enough that the system becomes obsolete and ought to be replaced anyway. Compared to a few years ago where the batteries would lose capacity and die quite quickly. Plus by having a hardwired battery it allows for more efficient delivery of power to the system making 1 charge last longer and eliminates a removable connection point that can easily be damaged via removing the battery or things shifting around, in transit or whatever. It's the same reason most high-usage tech these days has done away with removable battery packs, about the only ones left that I can think of are Wiimotes. The only decent brand I know of where the non-removable battery appears to be profiteering because the battery dies like something for the early 00s is apple.
  15. Tbh I'd look to get a bow as primary instead of a melee weapon in the long run. As in terms of usefulness in DG Ranged>Mage>Melee. Optimum setup being Bow with staff 2ndary. There's several reasons for this. Firstly on the core 'normal' monsters there are more ranged weaknesses than any other - mostly because later floors are heavy on mage classes, making range the ideal choice. The only ones that can then pose an issue really is forgotten warriors, who are weak to magic. In terms of the bosses: Gluttonous Behemoth - No real preference since you have to stand up close anyway. Astea Frostweb - Ranged/Mage are better as you can attack whilst frozen. Icy bones - Again no real pref Icefiend - Again no pref Plane Freezer - Ranged/Mage pref to save dancing around on ice chasing him too much Bloodchiller - no pref Skele Horde - Range/Mage pref as it allows you to stay in healing zone whilst fighting more, useful for lower levels and any c6 hordes Geomancer - Similar to Astea, range/mage so you can attack whilst bound. Bulwark - Ranged is not ideal here since you have to melee to toolbelt pickaxe armour or mage through the armour. Cursebearer - no pref Rammernaut - range/mage pref as you can avoid most of his attacks and stand in corners to make him stun himself on charges easily Stomp - range/mage pref as you can then avoid the high hitting slow moving rock thorws Riftsplitter - range/mage pref as you can then avoid the portals no matter where they spawn, melee suffers from him portaling over top of himself. Lexcius - range/mage means less running more damaging when he teles about. Saggitaire - immune to range. melee means a buttload of running. Mage pref. Nightgazer - range/mage lets you stay out of his slam attack/bomb thing range and closer to torches. Shadowforger - no real pref Pummeller - range/mage means you can lure him to weakening things whilst attacking for a quicker fight Skele Trio - No real pref Runebound - range/mage allows you to stay nearer to pillars for less down time marginally Gravecreeper - range/mage allows you to avoid most of his purple gloopy junk Necrolord - can't melee. Have to range or mage Fleshspoiler - no pref Thundorus - range/mage makes avoiding his specials easier. Blink - just no. all the no. no matter what. Gulega - range/mage makes it easier to see the four corner attack coming and dodge. Dreadnuat - no pref. Hope Devourer - no pref Worldgorger - range/mage quicker as no running to eyes Warmonger - range/mage neccessary unless you wanna faff with the slow teleporty thing. So grand results end up being: Ranged Pros: More ranged weak enemies in higher floors, Preferential on 17 bosses. Ranged Cons: 2 bosses you can't really kill with it. Magic Pros: Good for high level forgotten warriors, Preferential for 19 bosses Magic Cons: Not a lot of melee based mobs so kinda slower on main floor and (this is the big one for why mage is only 2nd best) magic damage output is capped at t90 because overworld only goes to t90 gear, an affect they never bothered to remove in dg where you have t99 weps so it could scale to t99 without being unbalanced to other classes. Which means using top-end t99 gear in dg mage has slightly less power to it than ranged and melee. Melee Pros: Good for high level forgotten rangers, preferential for 1 boss. Melee Cons: Rangers die easily to all classes, 1 boss you can't kill with it, 17 bosses where the fight is longer/harder in some way by using melee Of course you need to weigh your stats into the equation, but long term goal ought to be Ranged primary with magic secondary, which gives you strong dmg output against all main floor mobs plus preferential gear for 19 bosses and no bosses you can't hit. Though of course when jamflex finally gets to t99 in main game and lets magic scale all the way magic will no doubt rule the roost of dg, since it matches pref for pref on all 17 bosses ranged does, plus is pref for the 2 bosses ranged can't kill really.
  16. The balance for what Cleansing Stone was supposed to be like would work well at something like 500% burying xp it just has be sufficiently slow to counter balance it - like the speed cleansing stones are now per stone if you did that speed with bones you could probably push even a little past 500% without it becoming too op as it'd still be a slower way to do things, but it'd be significantly cheaper. Therefore making it viable as you can choose to go cheap at the cost of time or throw gp at it for the absolute best.
  17. Not true. For content to survive it does not have to be the best all the time. It just needs to have a viable place in the metagame. For example if they made a slow, afk but cheap prayer training method it'd do well as it would be a viable alternative to altaring bones. They were supposed to do that with cleansing stones in priff, but they managed to make them bad xp, slow and barely any cheaper which killed it.
  18. Nobody. People used to play minigames and stuff because they were fun (and still are). Killing thousands of chompies is not really that fun and never has been. Don't you lie to me. I got my 4,000 kills hat long before Completionist cape was even an idea. Champs and Chompies I don't think got hit by the xp waste mentality. They were never popular because they took ages, were grindy and didn't really give anything back. What has suffered from xp waste mentality is the assorted minigames that used to be popular and have ended up on the shelf as their rewards aren't really up to par. I really think most minigames they could 'rework' to a point of being quite popular again without even touching the game itself and purely sprucing up the rewards with some decent bonus xp for time spent pay outs. I mean BA still runs decently thanks to bxp, as does cabbage face punch and heist. Stealing creation bubbles along reasonably thanks to the tools, PC enjoys good turn out thanks to the benefits of void armour. All of these are the multiplayer games that give something worth the time. Conversely Soulwars, Trouble Brewing, Fist of Guthix, Mobilising Armies and Cwars all suffer from not having any rewards really worth the time investment. Admittedly Cwars does run, but only because of trim req, and MA just about runs, but again trim req causes this. With re-playability Champs certainly has some appeal - but it still will be in the fail zone because of the grind/elitism barring progress to making it good. I mean did the rarity on them scrolls ever REALLY make sense? This is in the Champions Guild, this is a place you can reach with stats in the 40-50 region and yet the scrolls take more time and effort to acquire than gaining access to much higher guilds in the chain (heroes, legends and heck even max guild garden)
  19. Dungeon times is all about practice, binds and knowing what you do and do not need to do. The core points to get started on the road to speed is: Gathering resources is really a waste of time - you should have bound everything you need gear-wise and healing abilities should cover you surviving when combined with food drops for lower levels. You may not be able to do it right away, but its something to work towards especially once you have 3 binds. Killing things that aren't vital to kill is a waste of time - ideally you should only be killing mobs in guardian door rooms, though some mneu heavy/slower puzzles can be made hood-safe to save hassle. Pathing and keystones - takes time to really get good but you should get a feel for how much map space a dungeon can take up and try to run what ought to be shorter paths to dead end first. Plus there is an art to placing gates - a far flung dead end is useful, but so is a four door room that links to 3 short paths that aren't finished yet. Also a gate in the home room can be very helpful once you have 3 gates at your disposal through completing task set. I'm not exactly the best dger, but I can still clock a solid 12 minute avg on solo meds.
  20. I suspect Champs Challenge will see some extra foot traffic from people after 120 slayer, but it will only be the niche subset after both 120 slayer AND trimmed comp because the time taken to get the scrolls in the first place will cost more than 60k xp a week for several weeks. Unless they actually have used my suggestion way back when they asked for stuff on this and made other more popular creatures drop some of the scrolls within reason (ie make all demons drop the lesser challenge), so there is more opportunity of getting them without going out of your way to massacre random non-assignment mobs.
  21. I don't know where you live but here laptops have removable batteries even brand new, except for Apple laptops. I don't know where you live but here I haven't seen any laptop of note with a removable battery in at least the last 5 years and I recently was shopping for laptops as my macbook was dying.
  22. Sounds to me that there is an issue in the connection between the battery system and the actual computer -ie whatever the connector between the battery and main system has been damaged by overheating or by you removing the battery unit or by plain old ageing wear and tear. It's an issue older laptops that actually have removable batteries can develop and part of the reason most laptops these days do not have removable batteries. That being said it could just as easily be a dead battery that isn't storing/conducting charge any more since the power has to pass through battery even when plugged in. I mean it could be cpu failure or anything else, but based on actions taken and the issue presenting the above seems quite possible.
  23. Unless something has changed again recently they added in a block that stops you making weapons and armour on the island. So that it no longer allows you to complete a bow or arrows or w/e
  24. The sad thing is with Champs Challenege it doesn't sound as if they are making the one change really necessary for it to become actively used - the rarity of scrolls. It's not like they even need to make them easy to get, just maybe shave a little off the existing rarity as a base then apply a boss pet like increasing drop rate; cause 60k slayer xp a week is all well and good but its useless if you can spend weeks on end mass slaughtering monsters and not get any scrolls. Also yeah if Tuska event isn't this month we are at least getting an in-game precursor I mean 'Also look to the stars something big is coming' alongside the concept art of the astromancer is hardly subtle.
  25. See the thing is getting the hatchet wasn't really the challenge. The challenge is in defeating the tree spirit with next to no gear, I'd say that element still holds up today especially as they have tightened up on several old tricks (ie taking materials to fletch/craft ranged gear after you arrive)
