Tuska Falls | Quick Lodestone Teleports
I purposefully left Loarnab out as an unreliable source simple because we have not seen his remains to verify he did in fact turn to stone and it could just be an embellished or in accurate story. Admittedly we did see stone remains for him in New Varrock, but New Varrock had an entirely different timeline and the exact details of his death there are unknown. If we do however factor him the turning to stone, it still stands with the Elder God/God Energy link = stone since Zaros killed him with god magic and Zaros is, in some ways, an elder artefact having been directly created by Mah. Also at Miss_Kozlov - No. Zaros does not have a crystalline body. The few images we have of him sans robes certainly has some crystal-esque purple spikes but the bulk of him does not appear as crystal and has never been described as such. Also using inference from the lore it makes no sense for him to be crystal - he is the embodiment of dark energy whilst Seren is the embodiment of light energy. Crystals are often linked to light and good magic in various histories and cultures which is why Seren is a crystal being - it thematically fits. But it does not thematically fit for Zaros, based on the themes we do have his body seems more likely to be some sort of solidified shadow linking with the themes of dark energy, his power over the shadow realm and with the names given to him like 'the empty lord.' Further support to this comes from the fact if you injure him in Fate of the Gods he has a mist-like gash that leaks shadowy particles, which is not consistent wih how damage to a crystal body would look, as clearly seen in Seren's model in Prif. Plus the original concept art even has his leaving a trail of shadows as he moves. Also in terms of stone vs not. I'd say sources are fairly equal in terms of stone vs other Guthix, Bandos, Skargaroth, V and Loarnab are all reported as turning to stone. Jododoku Otaku, Ebeb, The one that died near Marimbo and Zaros are all unreported on what happened to their bodies on death (and this total does not include the several un-named gods V claims to have killed) Tuska hasn't so far turned to stone. So really in terms of pure numbers we have less dead-gods that have definitely turned to stone in the lore than we have gods that either definitely have not or we have no idea other way what happened to their corpse.

Tuska Falls | Quick Lodestone Teleports
Arguably its never been established as a full gone lore fact that dead gods turn to stone in all cases. There is a precedent certainly so far but of the 4 dead gods we've seen prior to Tuska haven't been killed by the same means Skargaroth was stabbed by the elder sword Guthix the elder staff Bandos had a giant blast of god energy in his face, since thats what divine energy is mostly V the elder mirror. Tuska on the other hand was killed by a force of the Anima Mundi. So there is room in the lore to make a realistic distinction especially when you think on some of the other dead god lore - Bandos history makes no mention of the two killed turning to stone, Marimbo didn't mention the one she drank to death turning to stone, there's no stone Zaros lurking around from when he was 'killed' and fled his body. In terms of solid lore we can certainly say elder artefact death = stone god We can also say it seems like being killed by divine energy, be it in an artefact or not = stone god However it is possible other causes of death would not result in stone - such as death by anima mundi blast, death by non-divine objects etc.

Future Update Discussions
I gave them a nice essay in the final box about how it is BS to tell us updates are coming and then postpone/scrap them and not bother to keep us in the loop and how its BS to hype/sell an update in ways it can't live up too. Cause to me those two things are what cause a lot of their stuff to come off lack luster - like Tuska event if you'd of sold it to us as an unchanging thing that'd be around forever, but had a 35 day event attached cool awesome fair enough. Instead it was sold as a world event with no extra detail , which sets it up as a progressive evolving event dripping with lore in most peoples minds, lasting for 30 days and even made specific mentions of how Tuska would adapt to our attacks. The result? disappointment at how lacking it was. Also you look at basically anything from the Runescape 20xx talks at runefest, the skill reworks, Rite of Passage - the big let down annoyance isn't so much that they haven't happened cause dev priorities shift, it can't be helped, it's that they present them all as this is being worked on and will come in this timeframe and then behold like 6 months - 1 year after that time frame they mention in passing it was never even started on. Creating great furstration. Where as if when it got postponed/scrapped they just made a effort to say hey this thing we said we'd do next year well we've had to shelve because x y z it'd be kinda annoying but you'd be like well at least now I know not to expect it or get hyped up over it. The worst part of both of these is the players they hit most is kind the most loyal and dedicated players - the ones of us who follow the streams and runefest and podcasts and activel invest in learning about the upcoming in dev stuff and making us feeling misled or lied too by this poor management of communication is a sure fire way to alienate and lose players.

Behind the Scenes - July 2015
Honestly, I'm not too sold on the idea that runescape even needed raids or that they're a good idea. So, even if they work perfectly they may still suck. We'll see how it goes though, low expectations for this may mean I'll enjoy it more than I did the World Event where although the islands were relatively creative I had expected so much more and that killed it for me. If you looked at how PVM progresses in other games, such as wow, you can see a complexity progression similar to how runescape has gone from monsters such as the KBD to the KQ, giant mole to GWD, nex to rots/vorago... I hope you get the point. Now I think jagex is putting in another layer of complexity using stages. For example vorago has several phases, but I think jagex wants to add stages where the boss and maybe the environment completely change - almost like a completely new boss encounter, but not... Like first fighting Araxxor and later Araxxi? Was gonna say this myself - 2 separate monsters 3 (4-ish) entirely different battle grounds per fight. Also sort of ROTS with the 2 sides + shadow realm plus permutations of the 6 being split up between sides as 1 boss encounter, though Araxxor is the more literal example.

Seems to be a risk vs reward principle ability akin to the Zaros tendril ones but on a higher power scale. The longer you allow the ability to cast the bigger damage it hits BUT after a few hits it starts to damage you in increasingly bigger splats. So its a choice of how long you let it go to get big hits off at the expense of your own health, which could theoretically be quite powerful in a good team as you could near kill yourself to get massive damage off with a good voker plus bring in 'support' roles with seren spells and the ice asylum from team mates to keep you alive longer etc.

Grand Exhange API
I think Arceus's point, which you seem to of overlooked as you made no specific reference to it, is that the GRAPH function of the api specifically allows for extraction of exact values as it plots them as exact values.

Behind the Scenes - July 2015
I don't think we are assuming its broken, we are just apprehensive that it will work right considering the relatively short dev time its had from what we can see vs the scale and amount of content it is being hyped as. What doesn't help its case is for all the 'omg this world has loads and raids are really cool and varied' theres only 2 bosses and you have to beat boss 1 to even try boss 2 during each reset and with how bts is looking its being pitched as enough of an update to carry the whole month, which is other filled with little things.

Tuska Falls | Quick Lodestone Teleports
Can we take a moment to appreciate how Tuska's dying flight path makes absolutely no sense. Shot 1 - Coming from the East side of Fally over the park heading Mostly west and a little north judging by rock fall. Shot 2 - Flying SE-ish over northern Lumby region near the hops plot so low that it she is almost hitting stuff. Shot 3 - Flying due south over the wizarsds tower, now once again quite high up. Also I love the high quality 'swim' ripples on the desert shore used to reach her - the ones that are like 50% rippling over solid land. Edit: Like seriously I mapped her flight route Purple Arrow - where the little boy in falador looks and sees her coming head on Blue Arrow - Where she flies over the park by the way camera pans and rocks fall Green Arrow - Where she is immediately flying over in the next shot, low enough to be very near buildings Yellow Arrow - where she is immediately flying over in the next shot now high enough to miss wizards tower Red - The route she must've flown between shots.

GE Prices
Tbf whenever they put it on the price would be nonsense - this is jagex after all - most of the existing tokens barely sell for like 1/100th of the ge values. But yeah its part of the coding basically that if an item isn't selling, but offers exist over it's ge value it assumes the lack of sales is due to undervaluing and moves the price upwards to try and make sales happen. It's a bit of dumb and unnecessary code really because players, on the whole, are good at street value trading so if ge value was too low people would just be trading at street value and the code that makes ge value move towards average traded value would take care of upping the price.

Dev Blog: Elite Skills
Tbf they could scale rune down to 50 without messing with the alchs/drop tables etc too much if they did a direct swap. IE Rune would go down to the 50s and its alch price would follow suit, along with this they would of course need to add in more rune rocks to make the mining more sustainable. But what you do is slip in a new metal at the very top end - probably used for modifying armours rather than a whole new tier - and replace the existing rune rocks and rune on drop tables with this stuff. That way only major impact area to look at would be rune dragon bar drop rates.

Why Does Runescape celebrate 4th of July with an event?
I think a large part of it has to do with how well known a holiday is. Most national holidays aren't really known beyond their own country, but due to the historical significance of 4th of July and Thanksgiving they are kind known by a lot of people regardless of nationality so a little nod to them makes sense. Comparatively they don't do a Guy Fawkes event which is a British holiday that is largely unknown outside Britain. Of course the PR value is real too, since they do barely any work for the american ones largely recycling year after year but it panders to the large american user base.

This appears to be the game from Mark Gerhard's new company that several J Mods have left Jagex to work on.
I'm not sure if these mods are all jumping ship before the end or if they are simply outgrowing what Jagex can offer in terms of career progression. Mixed feelings on Chris L - he did do bosses well but he was very pvm rng obsessed and too influenced by a very niche crowd of HLF-top-end-pvmer-rng lovers. In some cases it got a bit like being in his 'friend' group got your a bigger say in the game design regardless of what the mass opinions were.

Behind the Scenes - July 2015
Quick teleport rune sink became vis wax? Ugh. Do Not Like. I was hoping they'd make teleport spells/laws relevant again - ie varrock tele runes in varrock lode for quick teles. Also is it just me or does the entirety of July seem to be hinging on this single Goebie/Raids update? It worries me because they haven't exactly had time to make it a big big month filler of an update as far as I can tell. The fact they dont even give any specifics really beyond the raids thing (which only has 2 bosses) makes it seem rather content light. Also so much for the 'Tuska won't die' fan boys since limp body implies much deadness - though lazy way to get around world event not ending on time to frame it as thought on yeah its intentional her body is still hurtling and you can stab more -if that was the case why didn't we have 35 days and make it reach Monday?

[29-6-15] Hero's Welcome | Summer Beach Party
This would be a valid argument if the bones weren't really quite common. Drop rate is like 1/42 (52?) and with how easy miths are since eoc etc klling ~100 for a bone unless your luck sucks isnt the end of the world.
-
[1-6-15] Tuska World Event
Due to some combination of poor coding/planning, I think it's here to stay until the 6th. When they said the event had no progression I didn't quite realise it meant it had no ending either. It makes me kinda mad when they do this with the world events, advertise them as a set number of days and then don't bother to put the end in-game for several days to a week after it was supposed to end - it just looks sloppy and lazy.

[29-6-15] Hero's Welcome | Summer Beach Party
Yeah, both those titbits agree with what I said. But the do not agree with your statements that using the stone forfeits your soul or that using the stone means you become a god.
-
[29-6-15] Hero's Welcome | Summer Beach Party
I don't think all the statements above are true 'facts' When someone uses the stone their forfeit their soul - doesn't really say this anywhere. Leaving an imprint or part of themselves in the stone does not mean they gave up their whole soul. I mean we do know gods don't go to the afterlife and therefore presumably have no soul, but that is to do with being a god, not touching the stone. When someone uses the stone the person ascends to godhood - evidence does not point to this. Using the stone CAN result in ascension to godhood, but so can exposure to any of the elder artefacts. Using the stone does not immediately make someone a god - Sliske, Lucien and the player have all used the stone with ascending. And, if memory serves me correctly, the stone was around and used by the Fremmy for a while after V discovered it before the gods nicked it and only V ascended.

Taverly Friend Bot?
This seems to be the case, but then Botwatch is also meant to be learning/updated so hopefully one such update will tackle this. It could be as simple as looking for repeated patterns of quick chatting independently of mouse input or it could go for the layer of looking at keyboard and mouse input independently in order to spot that they are both repeating bot inputs obfuscating each other by being on different time cycles.

HTML/Textile forum question
Yeah it seems to be something to do with copy pasting or settings since &lgt; is the code used in html to write < instead of opening a tag and > is the code to write > instead of closing a tag. So in some way the forum is 'escaping' you html tags to their text input equivalent.

sign of the porter
Of course even if you are doing it DIY/ironman there is a case for them being good to make - some decent div xp to be had in making them, plus decent mining xp in getting the gems and ores and decenting smithing and crafting xp in making the neckalces. Thereby making the overall pursuit of making porters quite an xp filled experience, but yeah check the item list here: http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Sign_of_the_porter_IVhttp://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Sign_of_the_porter_IV Items under the skill specific headings only work when gained from that skill 'other' are ones that work during combat - the only big useful ones in combat drops really are d-hides and unicorn horns

Taverly Friend Bot?
I almost miss the days when bots where a really big problem when they were actually coded well enough to have basic conversations or use a logical set of quick chats for what there were doing. These new ones that just spam 1 or 2 phrases with no relevance to anything they are doing stick out like a sore thumb.

Smithing guide update
Tbh its not really all that useful since smelting and smithing at the same time isn't really a productive way to train smithing, especially if you are utlising any xp/level boosting aids like the skilling outfits sc hammers or familars, so the existence of both a furnace and anvil in the same place doesn't add much to a spot. Plus with the fence to run around to get to the bank chest its actually quite a distance away compared to other spots like edgeville furnace and varrock anvils.

Adware, malware.. Need a spot of advice.
I feel like you owe me compensation now as you guarantee proved bogus. Never had malware issues, so never bothered with malwarebytes. Decided to run scans on all my systems just out of curiosity. 6 month old laptop - nothing found. 1 year old always on automated media box - nothing found 6-ish year old desktop pc that was cloned from a hard drive ~10 years old and upgraded overtime - nothing found. Don't get me wrong, its a great little program and all, but good internet practice and a decent AV is enough to avoid malware 99.9% of the time. Really malwarebytes should not be finding anything unless you have done something to garner a malware issue - visited an iffy site or grabbed a dodgy extension etc. Same applies to your AV of choice you should not expect it to find anything because it is a safety net for if you do something wrong, not a battering ram to allow you to charge into dodgy content and let it soak up damage.

Which English Dialect Do You Speak?
So this is how the map looks when you answer 'other' to around 75% of the questions because none of the Americanised answers really apply to you. I got Honolulu, Oakland and San Francisco as the most similar and Shreveport, Lubbock and Amarillo for least.
