Destiny - The Taken King is Released!
I think tips for ALG to be aware of in addition what Saru mentioned: Be aware of what class you are playing when working out your play style and weapon choices. Warlocks can't take a lot of hits, but regen fast. In general they work best when fighting from a ways off and aren't the best for accurate low fire rate stuff when you get close. Hunters can take some hits, but not huge amounts. They are fast though. They are a good mix class as they can move between being right in there for some well planned hits and being backed up. Titans are your tanks, they can take a pounding. They are the ones built for being in the thick of it. Personally, so far I like auto-rifle and sniper on a Warlock - good for being far away, but when you get closer gives you means to get in some damage fast then hide again. On Hunter I'm a fan of hand cannon and sniper - precision shots for maximum effect. Titan I'm liking shotguns cause up close carnage and probably use a scout or pulse rifle. This extends to subclasses as well. Taking Warlock as an example Voidwalker is very much a glass cannon using it right you can tear almost anything to shreds, but it comes at the cost of defence. On the whole it is better when working alone. Sunsinger conversely doesn't really do much damage, but gives tankyness combined with quick recharge and boons for allies. On the whole it is better in teams as it aids others more than doing damage. Stormdancer (from what we know thus far) would appear to be a more tanky damager outputting role designed to draw focus away from your allies and/or getting you out of harms way A lot of my troubles early on with the game was cause I played Warlock but went in head first causing me to die easily. Comparatively starting my Titan I barrelled in head first and survived just fine. Also @Saru you're not done. Bungie confirmed there are more steps to the subclass quests that won't be out til Taken King Lands and ultimately each sublcass quest leads to a level 40 class specific item (So voidwalker, sunsinger and stormdancer bonds, gunslinger, bladedancer and nightwalker cloaks and striker, defender and sunbreaker marks)

Level 5 Hunter ready to do some crucible xp grinding. Level 2 Titan through mission one to do some work on when I get bored of Hunter. Just need to actually get exotics and what not now.

The Zygarde news seems very intriguing. First up is the flat green blob being called to as the Zygarde Cell - it has a seemingly empty space in it's stomach and vacant pupils. Then you have the non-flat blob called the Zygarde Core, which is the brain of every form. Judging by the difference between the Cell and Core I think the Zygarde Core actually specifically refers to the red stone thing that occupies the previously empty space. Ie The red stone is the Zygarde Core and the blob is the Zygarde Cell - adding the Zygarde Core to the Zygarde cell makes it become more sentient (pupils go from green to black) and generally more active/alive (it stands up and rounds out more) The Zygarde Dog is refered to the Zygarde 10% Forme Normal Zygarde is refered to as 50% Forme The big mecha thing is Zygarde Perfect Forme Kinda suggests imo there may be up to 11 formes in all based on percentage progression - 0% Cell, 10% Dog 20%? 30%? 40%? 50% Normal 60%? 70%? 80%? 90%? 100% Perfect Either that a 6 Forme setup (0,10,25,50,75,100) Also yeah with it being XY & Z Anime pretty much confirms we are back to the mid-gen sequel being a third variant instead of 2 like they did for gen 5 and deffo looks like a mega Greninja, which almost certainly indicates Z will see a bunch of new megas and that Delphox and Chesnaught will be going mega too. Unless they pull another Blaziken and Greninja is a promo with his counter parts following in the next games, presumably Gen 7 since Z would round out the expected main series titles for gen 6. Also side bar - on my quest to complete as much of a livingdex with hidden abilities as I can and looking to to start doing a shinydex follow up is that Jirachi is a weird case. It was 100% legit possible to get shiny Jirachi in earlier games but you can't get it through pokebank fake checks making it the one case of a pokemon that can legit be shiny becoming impossible to be legit shiny. All the other not possible as legit shiny have just never been released as a shiny, either due to being event only like celebi, meloetta, keldeo, diance and hoopa or being shiny-locked in every wild encounter to do like Xerneas, Yvetal and Zygarde

The sad thing is that trailer realllllllllly oversells the gaming experience. Odds are it'll just be one of them gimmicky, kinda annoying VR games where you have to weirdly point your phone around to play and will ultimately offer nothing more than an akward to play normal pokemon game gone mobile.

Future Update Discussions
Depends how you decide to explain it. You could give to to future Robert who then communicates it to past Robert. Past Robert could come to us. etc. Lots of ways to explain it on or off screen without having to do a Meeting History style quest.

not bad work, it looks exactly like the quest costume, except not made of leather and knives and is actually flesh as for there not being another meeting history style quest...they've forgotten about robert's letter, haven't they time loop needs to be closed, guys tbf you don't need another meeting history type quest to resolve roberts letter. All you need to resolve that is a route that sees Robert returned as a human - i'd assumed extracted from Bob rather than Bob dies reincarnate again. Then some nice dialogue explaining how through some mystical means Robert knew of the coming of the adventurer and that they'd be destined to meet.

07-Sept-2015: Patch Week
I'm still waiting for the patch note where it says 'We have fixed the horribly excessive bias towards combat in collecting crystal shards by making it actually give completely crystals so it isn't 3-4 times slower than combat for no apparent reason'

Destiny - The Taken King is Released!
Productive weekend - My Warlock is now lvl 21. Still some story to clear out + all expansion stoof when it arrives on 15th but I feel like I've actively achieved a reasonable starting point now. Wanna keep playing my Warlock until I've done all the story and got somewhere towards the lvl 30 ballpark, then see about diversifying and getting my Titan and Hunters begun.

24th August - The Light Within
Mmmm was very important to do away with that NSFW model in favour of this much much safer one. I mean could you imagine if in using that old model in any content and how it would ruin everything!?! That's why is still used in all the Memorium device memories, appears in the quest and features prominently in a few statues around prif - but don't worry cause that one model tucked a way in an area we rarely visit that one has been made less NSFW.

Recoverable Items
In terms of reclaimable, there isn't really a huge amount outside of the 'fun' items Diango looks after from holiday events, skill boosting outfits etc. that you can simply just reclaim from an npc with no work. Only ones I can really think of off the top of my head is the god books from the light house - but as these are useless atm there's no point. Ectophial from that quest start lady in north east port phasmaytas and any task set rewards from assorted npcs. I mean reclaimable items was never really a huge category outside of holiday items and quest items needed later on in the quest line and even in recent year it hasn't suddenly become one other than the various treasure hunter only skilling outfits that Diango also holds.

They could just create a list of players with permission to take the avatar. I think the way it's coded, it's not that simple - such a list would have to be a subset of avatar wardens or admin ranks, which of course defeats the purpose. I could be wrong though, feel free to pass it on and ask them :P. How would it defeat the purpose when you would have a list of people that could be changed at a whim and don't necessarily need a rank to pull the avatar. Instead the players could be marked as a 'trusted' clan member with access to the avatar. This way the members don't have to worry about a rogue player hogging the avatar for purely personal gains. It could have its issues though especially with coding. Up until recently jagex hasn't exactly been using friendly coding allowing for implementation of newest aspects to older content which has posed an issue for smart development time consumption. I think his point was the way its coded it is self-defeating in terms of workload to try and do. The way the spaghetti code of clan permissions is you have to have admin rights to have avatar and there is no way round it. Therefore to separate the two in existing code levels you'd have to separate some of the automatic 'admins have these powers' into something that can be turned off AND then make it so every rank has admin powers. Which just opens cans of worms for glitches and abuses and such and would be a lot of work to implement. And would take such a lot of time to do for one minor change it isn't worth doing just for that. Instead it would be a better use of time to rework clan permissions from the ground up to make them all work better - ie making it so any rank can be given any power (bar a select few obvious leader only kinda things) and making it so some powers can be awarded to specific accounts rather than a whole rank. The former method would get it to us in a quicker smaller project but you are just making the spaghetti code worse which is counter intuitive for making clan permissions work better at a later date.

Destiny - The Taken King is Released!
I can't decide if I'm bad or not in group stuff. Like in PvP I deffo die, a lot. But then the stuff I do succeed in doing often seems to be rather good. Like guys getting mown down trying to take a flag thingy, I happen on to a weird back way is no one on and snipe the enemy so they all survive. Or I manage to fall into area where guys r being owned and set off my ultimate special thingy and save them all. But then on the other hand I frequently walk round corners to immediate death, miss basic jumps and die and generally fail to spot where I'm being shot from in open-ish spaces.
-
How do I shut down the death reclaiming notification for good?
No. The assumption is people don't just want to abandon items they died it when they are being offered to you an a platter.
-
How do I shut down the death reclaiming notification for good?
Items will be stored by death for 24 hours after you died, or until overwritten by dying again.

Destiny - The Taken King is Released!
I was holding off on getting the expansions until I actually got my levels up a bit...then I noticed I can buy the legendary pack and get the base game and all 3 expansions and some bonus junk for £44 where as it'd cost me like £35 to get expansion 1 and 2 plus £340 for 3 for my existing base game. So come Sept 15th I'll have it all! And with my stress levels right now I think I'll be getting back into Destiny again soon just to commit some mindless acts of violence and destress (pro-tip - if you think back to school is stressful normally, working in school transport at back to school is sheer unadulterated hell)

How does armor actually degrade ?
Wasn't there a patch note a week or two ago now where they updated some/all of the older armours to the new degrade mechanic though? (I recall barrows being mentioned so might've just been them)

Behind the Scenes - September 2015
Tbh I more interested in the starfury armour that any of the gold sets. Not sure what to go for in the raffle yet. Spring Cleaner and portable banks are on the no list for me. Gold Barrows and 100m I guess are alright but dunno if they are worth it. Protean and Death Touched aren't half bad, though with my luck Protean is probably a much wiser choice.

Behind the Scenes - September 2015
Let us hope the quest lives up the hype unlike some other recent releases or holy cow this month is gonna be a barren one in terms of release. I mean sure fishing thing will be nice and all, but it doesn't really hold much attention holding longevity as updates go for anyone already done with fishing so in terms of stuff to do rather than just stuff to look at then carry on as normal the quest is all the month holds. Also epic lol that Akrisae set is the 'super rare' rummage barrel prize gd game putting the one set people don't really want or use as the super rare prize. I mean Ahrim and Karil get usage from being decent t70 gear for range and mage. The melee brothers all see some usage for the same cause plus dhar n guth get some set effect usage. But ark is like junk.

Runescape Night-Day mode + You think Jagex planning this?
The power of necromancy is strong in this one. Too strong, we must act quickly before the day is lost to zombie hordes. Summon Arrav at once!

Fish Flingers Tracker Tool
Good ideas. Done.

DXPW and Portables/Protean
Most portables aren't 5% either afaik. My numbers were not intend to be accurate, simply an example of how it stacks especially considering it is not even accurate to say outfits are 6% when full - there are some lurking are at 5% only, some that have more bits and do 6% with no bonus and irrc some of the head-piece modifcations jack it up to 7% or something.
-
DXPW and Portables/Protean
It's all straight forward additive stacking.. Ie Base 100% Portable +5% Bxp +100% Dlb xp +100% Outfit +5% Result 310% xp
