  1. I finally started getting into Destiny recently. I struggled my first try, but I think it was cause I had a headset of oh its a fps i suck at fps run in shoot oh dear dead. This time I decided to play it more like I play batman or assassins creed - utilising sneaking and thinking about stuff before I do it. So far much better results
  2. What have they made easier post-launch? They've buffed stuff post-update ever since the KQ's barbed spines attack. Tru dat they buff monsters and games and what not and nerf useful items. We want to have cool items with niches uses. OH DEAR GOD NO DAKRLIGHT IS BEING USEFUL IN A NICHE nerf nerf nerf GO GO GO GO.
  3. It's the same 'god faction jobs' that every single other faction give you.
  4. Cool story bro. Blizzard aren't the origin of the idea of raids and its not wripping anyone off to implement a feature the vast majority of mmos include. There was a whole raft of text MUDs that had riads and then Everquest was the first mmorpg to do raids in 1999.
  5. I would advise putting away the melee gear and actually using a crossbow. Dragons are weak to bolts, which means unless you are using T80+ gear you will see significantly better damage output by using the right corner of the combat triangle. Especially when you consider melee gear is weak to magic attacks and dragons use both melee and magic attacks when up close, conversely get that distance and they will only use magic, which ranged armour is strong against. Basically use the combat triangle to your advantage - monster weaknesses and the triangle have a real meaning in eoc until you reach the very top end gear. If a monster is weak to ranged you will do better damage with ranged, plus in 99/100 cases weak to range = magic user = strong against melee. Also I wouldn't consider it time to move up the ranks if you can only kill 2 red dragons with ease and in general I wouldn't fixate on dragons I'd go get some slayer tasks and get more variety in there.
  6. There's no more reason to log on...Then quit. I have, more or less. I don't pay for membership anymore. I log in to do some f2p stuff every now and then. And yet you're still regularly logging on to a fan site to whine, moan and generally derail valid discussions with your negativity about aspects of a game you purportedly do not play any more...
  7. Yeah I meant 800, epic typo! In terms of getting that req done, unless you wanna put a bunch of effort in I'd run with the assumption of the 795 hours 'standard' time being required and anything you do to beat it faster is a bonus. Also it does have some bearing on the 795 hours that you can factor in other reqs to that by chasing thalers - ie you should be able to get the MA rank, barb king kill, conquest rank and the sometimes elusive trouble brewing music tracks whilst doing thalers.
  8. The biggest barriers to comp (t) is several of the long ass/heavy rng based reqs. Max MA rank, Full profound, Chompy Kills, Champs Challenge, kal'ger titles etc. If you can find ways to work them into your other training etc all the better. Champs challenege and profound are prob the big 2 cause scrolls are so overly rare and even at the best speed possible it likes 80 odd in-game hours to full profound.
  9. However you must put drops rates in perspective of kill speed. Solo corp you can down pretty quickly, mass corp your talking seconds per kill. Rots your talking in minutes per kill even before you factor in the time spent outside the kills - ie re-supplying, running from the shadow, finding a team/arranging friends to be a team. And thats without taking into accounted failed kills, which I understand to be something that is a reasonably regular occurrence even with good teams. I mean I have 77 corp kills from 1 clan trip to corp that only lasted about a bit under an hour, including like 15 minutes of faffing around meeting up and we weren't even killing it that fast cause wasn't all that many of us.
  10. Reality check on spirit shields being hardest to get. I SUCK at pvm. I can kill corp without too much hassle solo, did so 2nd try when working on comp stoofs. I can't do rots like at all yet. I went 3 times and did okay but ultimately died, then got some good clannies to get me a kill whilst I hid in the corner. Given the inclination I could quite happily go self-source me some spirit shields, rots shields ge or go home basically.
  11. Once again we have to sit here and read whiny attacking remarks that bring nothing to any discussion in the thread because you aren't interested in comp cape. It'd be really nice if you could be less interested still and just ignore the lines of discussion that don't interest you and instead only post if you have something to contribute to the thread. Because guess what? Some of us are interested in comp cape and when an update makes a significant differences to that cape we are going to discuss it in the thread about that update. You're not being forced to read our posts, see they are about comp and move on. Simple. No need to bring rudeness or spammy posts that add nothing to the thread in just because you don't like our discussion.
  12. Could it be that she isn't there in f2p? Not all the tasks are f2p after all.
  13. She is upstairs in the church in a rocking chair, I think she is further up than first floor though.
  14. Old computer + blue screen of death type errors = good luck. Really I'd try restarting a few times and if it won't do anything other than BSOD errors I'd give it up as dead.
  15. In the past I would've of agreed but since we have jumped the shark on that I think now a more appropriate move would be the consideration of the need for a grace period in relation to the difficulty the boss will pose. Heck I'm sure they could even code a grace period as a product of numbers - ie when x % of players who had comp meet the new req then all others lose the cape. Would probably work best in terms of fairness if done like that too - wouldn't be instantly lost for everyone in the face of new content that is going to take significant time for the masses to be able to get through BUT at the same time you would face losing out once enough had beaten it to signify that the content has been worked out and is doable for the 'normal' player and therefore it was your inaction or lack of skill that merits the lose of the cape. But then I'm sure even the concept of a grace period will have the 'your whining' 'your not entitled to it' etc crowd fuming at the bit because heaven forbid it being a reasonable notion to not lock the entire player base out of ownership of the cape for an extended period due to the addition of content that is fully intend to take several days for even the elite players to manage to best, let alone the run of the mill guys.
  16. If memory serves it was a case of you had to have logged in atleast once since the main move from rsc to rs2 for accounts of transferred users and it was within previous 6 months for newer users when they put rsc into closed mode.
  17. My guess is that Zaros stops it. But, that would assume that FOTG is a "past" quest, that all players have already done lore wise. Everything up to and including TWW is already 'done'. FOTG is not. A brand new account has already seen Guthix die, but has not met Zaros until they have done FOTG Except at least one 6th age quest is also "past". MPD is because Bandos is already dead for everyone. World Events seem to trump quests, and can happen regardless. World events make a mess of the timeline because their results are undeniably there for everyone but they break the chronology of the 6th age setup. Really, for the timeline to make sense now the series of events needs to be TWW - We1 - MPD - We2 - We2.5 - We3 - Player starts Otherwise there is no proper explaination for Saradomins power level, Bandos being Dead and Tuska's corpse already being in situ. However since Zaros himself doesn't appear in any of that content FoTG can remain safely in the 'happens when you do it' quest block, especially as it requires MPD and therefore most occur after it.
  18. From what I've heard going around Durzag hits harder the closer you are to him and something about leading to a gong that weakens him Also having had a good look at Mazcab I feel my fears were right from the BTS - they've sold this as a whole month update and thats not really a lot to do other than the raids. 3 Tasks/mimiquests a day that give a handful of xp. Few new airut spawns providing nothing new. Few lore stones. Few random xp things in the random instanced forest that seemed awfully static - but all one offs, nothing to train on. Basically the sum of Mazacab's "loads of content" is raids and some airut spawns a whole lot further from teleports than the existing not really crowded spawns. I mean don't get me wrong raids seem good and what content is there is decent - it's just the 1 real update for the month sold as loads to do is kinda lacking in anything meaningful to do other than raids (which dont seem like they'll be all that time consuming once tactics are sussed and you can only go once every 48 hours)
  19. Same here. It is also the reason as to why these hectic group bosses are imo a no-go for Comp. But Jagex decided otherwise =C. (Or rather Chris L did...) I also it feared it because of the number of people who make out you are being overly entitled or lazy or whiny just because you express sadness at having lost the comp cape you work hard for because you happen to know it will be quite some time before you are capable of re-earning it. Cause you know there is absolutely no-way on earth that someone might JUST be sad that the cape they were proud of having earned is now out of their reach for a while again whilst they wait and learn and work to get it back. They OBVIOUSLY feel like they are entitled to it and should never have to work for it and are tearing down the validity of the requirement and having a good old whine.
  20. If these bosses are as hard as they make out i estimate it shall be quite some time before i can wear my cape again ='[ I always feared the day new bosses arrived because there is a certain inevitability that I will have to sit around and wait for some guides and videos to be made before I stand a hope in hell of beating them, XD
  21. 60m? Lolwut GE value for that many d-hide bodies + nats is barely 50m (47 and a bit plus 2 and a bit) and they only alch for 51m who is gonna willingly end up 9m down on something they could make 1m profit on if they did a ge offer and waited it, especially when alching aint even that great a way to train anymore.
  22. The memoriam crystals are part of a machine, what material they are made from has little relevance to whether or not Zaros is crystal. It is simply a reflection that the device is seemingly something they created together. I mean is everything in the world that contains your memories made of human flesh? In terms of the lore everything points to Seren and Zaros being as opposite as possible, not similar. One is light, one is darkness, one inspires love in those she is near the other loyalty, one is aligned with the idea of battle - combat magics, crossing breeding species to create new things, building an empire as dictatorial figure - the other is about peace - retreating to keep her people safe, democracy etc. Literally every aspect and turn we have seen of these 2 has put them as an opposing pair, not a matching one and based on this there is no reason to assume Zaros is made of crystal in the void of solid evidence. Especially when what little we had would point otherwise - his pure black body has no signs or textures to suggest crystal, his wound does not conform with damaged crystal like Serens wound and in terms of the oldest most deep seated lore Seren has always been about crystal and Zaros has always been about shadow and that would fit with a jet black body, the oozing wound, the shadow trails he leaves and the links to the shadow realm. In the same way that much of what we know of Seren fits into the crystal. Essentially the tl:dr is nothing in lore says what Zaros is made of definitively. There is no reason to assume he would be crystal because Seren is as everything else about them is set up as oppositions.
  23. Arguably what we get given - Shard of Zaros - is at no point described as a crystal. It is only ever described as part of Zaros body and given the purple hue it does fit with the crystal-ish protrusions from his black body. And a shard can be anything - shard of metal, shard of wood, shard of bone etc. But it still remains at no point in the lore is he even described as being made of crystal.
  24. Hmm my bad on Marimbo then, coulda sworn it didn't say.
  25. Apparently the concept art behind Chris L was for another Vorago rotation that never got made, since he's leaving and it would probably never end up being made he decided to show it for the video. At least thats what was apparently said by him in his friend chat. Also it's not like the ending was heavily tailored to any one faction. The ending was basically Faction Champion attacks Tuska. Assorted faction npcs remain on Tuska. It was basically a case of inserting Vorago, Saradomin, Zamorak or Armadyl into the cutscene and changing a couple of npcs on Tuska back. In fact the godless winning probably created more work if anything because they already have 'final smash' attack animations for Saradomin, Zamorak and Armadyl from previous world events whilst Rago didn't have one.
