  1. Tbh I think We've covered them all other than the vampire guy you see before you go to Dessous (or is tht Malak?) Would it not save time to update the ones confirmed to of changed so that crew won't accidentally waste time re-checking them at a later date when remaining flaws have been ironed out? I mean we have 3 names and 2 graphical updates 100% confirmed, even if you ignore vampire 3 as it seems an naming oversight there's 3 entries (vampire 1, 2 and rev) that can be completed. Heck even if you ignore the naming and just do graphics since Vampire 1 has already been changed and that same image applies to 2 and 3. Then just have a list of extras to keep an eye on: Vampire (it'd be on the only one left hence lack of number) Ravenous Vampire Count Draynor/Vampire Slayer Vampire Bat/Vampirism Scroll Fishing Contest Vampire Malak Dessous
  2. It varies; I believe 2/3 we had no update but 1/3 we did. Plus who knows? The prayer potion is likely first update and its so small thats not really much they could put in teaser pictures of interest.
  3. But across all forms of punishment the shame factor is present. Eg children grounding them or giving them detention in a school break or making them sit in a corner at front of class if they disrupt it; all of them involve shame and humiliation because other people see and know that you have done wrong. The very nature of punishment enforces an element of shame and humiliation; if it did not it wouldn't be a very good punishment. As its the negative emotional responses that form the deterrent. And Killerred - exactly: Its there so people KNOW if they did something pertinent to the position/situation. A sex offence is something the effected public has a right to know about when that person is exposed to minors etc; in this case the parents and users of runescape have a right to know as they can/are directly exposed to it.
  4. But prison still has a stigma/shame and an element of humiliation attached to it; that persists beyond the prison walls with criminal record and friends/family facing questions about it.
  5. I'd say: Stakes are the worst as they are a consumable item. Staff is second best but your still eatting runes & vyres dont see as weak to mage (less high hits) Polearm is best as its 1 item tht u jsut put on hack away job done, especially given melee armour being worn thus giving better bonuses
  6. however, the media starts attacking people even before a trial, and even if they're found innocent the damage cant be undone, the world still looks at people differently, that tends to make plea bargains and settlements more appealing, even when you did nothing wrong, because otherwise the media drags your name through the dirt, especially with a charge like this and we all know the police only have the publics best interests at heart, Right? That is true but in this case: he WAS found guility by a court and IS on the sex offender registery And Pulli I know my stuff on crime and punishment I did it at gcse and A level history; punishment is meant to shame the offender in its public repercussions and deter others due to seeing this; even when they got all philanthropic and lets fix these poor people the elements of shaming and humiliating didn't go away. Eg rather than the stocks they went to the work house and then faced stigma of being in the workhouse and forced to do essentially slave labour.
  7. Punishment is not private. The whole concept of law and punishment is to publicly bring shame and/or ridicule upon the guilty party to act as deterrent to others. The only reason things like the stocks died out was the advent of mass media meant it wasn't necessary to put on a show of punishment as word would spread anyway.
  8. But everybody did, its why we've had posts about what to buy for it to profit etc for months on end. Everyone expects them now and stockpiles in advance planning their big profit; but everyone has done it so the market just gets flooded.
  9. The law and what we know about his precise status. may or may not be black and white. But the issue of stepping aside is very black and white: you do it or you don't. Even assuming he wasn't restricted in interaction with minors legally one can question whether it is wise to maintain a fan site and communication with minors knowing you have this status over your head and that it is quite likely on a moral ground many would find it iffy and object and thus the fact he probably should of stepped aside in 05 when he became a sex offender. After all irl off the internet he wouldn't be likely to get a job with minors due to the moral implications and the objections of parents etc. so why should the internet differ. I mean the issue was bound to come up at some point, so to me the obvious thing to do would be to step aside quietly in 05 when it developed potential to become an issue and thus avoid any mass drama due to the "secret" being stumbled upon and causing such ructions from the fairly justified moved of jagex bringing it attention.
  10. In KB Vampire Bat hasn't changed, but the rest certainly have you are right. I dunno if vampire bat would change as it is a reference to a irl creature and in-game it doesn't have strong links to the vampyres; but then again would it make sense to have a vampire bat and no vampires.
  11. My clan Legacy of Honour is a mixture of skillers and fighters; we don't run any official events but we get together to do stuff on the spur of the moment and have a reasonably active clan chat, usually ~5-10 people in there currently at quieter times, always looking to gain new members etc.
  12. The thing is fair enough up until 05, but given the restrictions legally arising from being on the register he should of stepped aside from runevillage in 05 when he registered and was thus presumably subject to restrictions about interaction with minors.
  13. The quest is stilled named Vampire Slayer, but presumably this and the GWD are an oversite, seems odd they'd change allllllll but thoose 2
  14. Vampire 2 and 3 both also use the same new look vampire 1 has been updated too. Vampire 1, vampire 2 and rev vampire have all become Vampyre. Vampire 3 is still Vampire though. I've heard reports Ravenous Vampire has also been changed to Vampyre, but can't personally confirm
  15. Vampires are still Vampires in GWD as is Count Draynor in Vampire Slayer. It is kinda of shocking though a while back they SPECIFICALLY set up in Lore Vampyres = civilised intelligent beings akin to humans (and that count draynor seemed to be mis-labelled in game due to his ties to Drakan and civlised nature) while Vampires = wild animals akin more to wolves etc. Then 1 graphical update and they seem of of retconned the entire idea of Vampires as a separate species.
  16. Tbf they did say higher tier auras will have bigger impact, but will cost a lot more to get through the upgrades etc. so are still not a major game changer as they will be quite rare.
  17. If jgaex didn't say anything theories would spread and jagex would get dissed for demoting a site for no reason. Also they need to make it clear they are no associated with such people, it could effect investment given they are aimed at the teen market.
  18. Judging by the news article that cites him as being 62 and the conviction being 1995 we are talking about someone in his 40s having dealings in child pornography. So not exactly just a case of small age gap of 2 or so years that spans age of consent boundaries yet both parties are of simialr age.
  19. Not to my recollection. All I recall being "evidence" for Lucien link was he spoke of a powerful master; he used to look like an elite dark mage and an elite dark warrior calls him a traitor during the quest; which is all highly circumstantial evidence as it does not directly point to a specific person.
  20. They do vampires in the haunted wood
  21. But we are talking about runescape in which both vampires and vampyres exist so nitpicking is neccessary
  22. Really? Last i checked it didn't
  23. VAMPYRES not vampires Blisterwood is definitely powerful stuff agaisnt vampyres, afterall note how Ranis and Vanseula would not come into the room with the tree itself and Vanseula told you to keep away from her when you just had logs in your inventory as they'd make her burn up. It seems to be implied blisterwood radiates some force or power that negates their premonition and literally burns them on impact.
  24. Worth noting taverly = standard store and you have to sell in set amounts Yanille has a separate option for shards that allows you to sell-x
