  1. Its bonus xp weekend. If the spot is decent it'll be rammed.
  2. Not true since we had no xp button prior to the first event and the xp button was added for the first event; then due to popular demand was kept. Resulting it it being rehashed to be the xp+ button during these weekends
  3. Yes it does: 41) Search the desks to find some food, a potion, and a strange teleorb. It doesn't define tht its lobster and restore pot but it ells you to search the desks to get them
  4. The only places I know of tht don't give randoms tht are fairly substancial are build mode poh, soulwars bank and daemonheim castle. poh is out since u cant fm there. soulwars doesnt have the east/west stretch for fm Spose dg might work, not sure if it lets u light fires in there thou and the bank is outside the randm free zone.
  5. on repair it is worth it. The first degrade massively reduces ess per pouch comapred to the subsequent ones. Which means you quite argely effect ur xp rate by NOT repairing it. Personally for zmi: i repair pouches asap at degrade but do it at the altar end rather than trying to withdraw cosmics (and possible waters) since after u craft u shuld have the runes anyway.
  6. Since bank update i think familar is bk to be fail. Since 1 bank = fill all pouches. now.
  7. Yeah on a second sheet or w/e tht ppl can edit put hours per day: Then in the day column it would be =(reference to tht cell on other sheet)*the xp per hour And the week, years etc would all figure themselves out from tht.
  8. I use AVG internet security their free one is one of the best on free-av market and their paid one rawks also. Can be a bit RAM heavy for older systems, particularly when doing scans. But anyone with 2gb+ ram shouldn't notice it at all.
  9. Yeah norton paid version picks up only like 50% of the stuff some of the best free ones do. It absolutely hogs system RAM to the masses. It is known to have issues with causing some program installations and updates to completely spazz out. And even if you uninstall it it hides (much like a virus) and one day you turn ur system on to find norton telling you it is installing a scanner, no cancel or confirmation screens jsut I AM DOING THIS
  10. My point was: Bush patch aside all the other tree spot uses can be substituted for things of equal ease/speed. Eg managing mtk fairy ring and tele scroll (scroll more so as it is nearer to maples and castle) are just as easy and comparable speed, especially for collecting, as tree to teaks is. Where as the tree is much closer and much faster access to the bush patch than all other routes up there.
  11. Ah yeah I see the loophole in my math now, my bad. Was forgetting that gp:xp and gp:hr don't equate quite the same. Don't think this is my week with maths with the random 2.25 thing and all this. But any road the swords are still the best xp:hr in-game if you can afford em. Just not cost efficient.
  12. Your first grade math teacher would be crying right now, i'm sorry to say. You should really look up how efficiency is calculated not to embarrass yourself(and all your teachers, too) again. Firstly, you take the faster method as reference(it's actually incorrect to not use reference time, but it makes it more clear), thus one method takes 1 hour for an amount of xp, the other takes 1,4 hours, and the difference is 0,4 hours. Next, you compare the cost per 315k xp, which comes at 10,08m and 4,1m respectively, so you'd have to make that price difference up in the time you'd save with the faster method, and in this particular case, comes out at nearly 15m gp/an hour. Maths. That is a mathematically way of looking at it; but it doesn't mean it makes sense in the real world. My way has a very obvious real world applied logic to it that cannot be denied. 2 hours of the 315k method makes 630k xp 2.8 hours worth of 225k method makes 630k xp 315k method costs 2.2m more an hour. Therefore to, be very precise, a rate of 5.5m gp per hour in money making compensates, as in 0.8 hours u'd of made the 4.4m extra spent.
  13. I worked it out from YOUR NUMBERS "Other than that, assuming you make 40 swords an hour(going for quality over quantity) for an average multiplier of 110%(so over 50% perfect) you'll get 315k smithing xp an hour for a cost of 32 gp per xp. That's compared to addy plates that are around 225k xp an hour and ~13 gp per xp, or gold ores that are around 120k xp an hour at a cost of 4 gp/xp." 315k xp an hour vs 225k xp an hour = 110k more xp per hour. 32gp per xp vs 13 gp per xp = ~20gp xp extra. 20*110k = 2.2m extra cost per hour. I need to make a minor correction here to making 4.4m an hour to compensate. I overlooked one step in working it out. But still viable. So in 2 hours you'd of earned 220k xp extra, so roughly equivalent of a 3rd hour of addy plates. So if then if that third hour you can make 4.4m+ it at least breaks even cost wise.
  14. Brimhaven is useful for people who farm fruit trees. That's 100% for sure, too. ;) That one can be argued. It depends on your route order etc. But yeah I'd say its good for tht as tab > brim fruit tree then tree to gnome from tree n fruit then glider to village
  15. I think the best summary of this thread is: all 3 patchs have a use, but the uses of all 3 patchs can be easily substituted by other options. So it comes down to personal taste. The only thing that you can 100% say for sure is: People who farm bush patches find ecteria useful.
  16. No I did a bunch of iron to start and got thoose 2 bonuses And it wasn't miles over 10k as they would make it. I didn't record exact numbers, but it definitely went up by just over 10k (was like 218-- sort of digits then went to 32---) Cost wise it may be worse, but as you yourself stated it is much better in terms of xp:hr; then when you apply the money you can make in time saved factor it becomes totally viable money wise. Its like ecto vs gilded. gilded costs more per xp, but the time saved means you can more than make up for the extra money spent; same applies here. As your numbers show roughly 110k extra xp:hr than addy for only about 20gp:xp extra. Therefore if (like many) you can fairly easily make 2.2m in an hour its better. Even if you can't make 2.2m in tht hour its still better xp:hr rate, if not the msot efficient option all round for you.
  17. The xp in the kb is perfect(120%) xp. Just walk away is you are going to straight out lie to our faces and know nothing about what you are posting. I'm not lying. I swear I got just over 10k on a perfect rune sword; unless I totally spaced out and missed somehow got an extra 2k on my total xp counter between swords It went up by just over 10k for a perfect rune sword.
  18. Oh seems my math was screwy on the rune ore amounts amounts; can't see where I got 2.25 from now. The xp rates are better if you are any good at it though. And I didn't miss the 120% xp thing a perfect rune sword is worth 8.5k BASE xp, the fact you get 120% adds to this. Least thats how it seems to work when I was there. I did a perfect rune for a bit over 10k xp (120%), kb lists perfect rune as 8,500 xp 12% of 8,500 is 10,200
  19. True ma is a fast way into the network. But from all I've read not many people do bush farming, and as a way to do mtk the ecteria spot sucks since fairy ring drops u much much closer to the castle, which renders ecteria spot more useless than sarim in my book.
  20. So not true. Sarim is useful as a quick route into the tree network via cabbage port. Brimhaven is useful on tree runs, and can also be a quick way into trees via chipped tabs now. Ecteteria is only really useful for the bush patch. So if you don;t do bush farming runs I'd say brim + sarim If you do do bush runs I'd say ecteria and then your chocie of brim & sarim
  21. The best method uses ruby (e) up until beserker at which point diamond (e) are used. However (it depends on lukc a bit) some people find they are failing due to supplies running out; in this case diamond (e) all the way makes for a slower fight overall but massively saves on supplies.
  22. We haven't really got any news on updates atm that can be linked to specific items.
  23. Ceremonial swords own for xp. The required IV ingots but the xp output owns. As long as you don't break too many. Example being rune iv ingot takes the ores of 2.25 rune bars, Which normally gives 281.25 xp for smelt and 450xp for smlet + smith with sc hammers. Rune ceremonial sword gives 8,500xp for a perfect sword (roughly) Which means as long as you're sword scores about 5%+ (which isn't hard to do at all, I tried it out and seemed to do mostly 85%+) the xp per ore and thus per gp is better. All the other metals work similarly, though the proportions aren't quite the same , they get better as the metals get higher leveled. eg iron iv ingot needs 75 ores. Which is 2812.5 xp normal smelt smith 4687.5xp with sc hammers. But perfect sword is only 3242xp, so iron ones actually suck. But steel has a small margin for more xp than regular, mith has a decent margina, addy has a pretty good margin then rune (as covered) has an epic margin
  24. its 60xp per tear for lvl 30+
  25. Not really... it could be set up to only save a screenshot of windows with "Runescape" in the name, or we could go even further and check for a small unique portion which only(and always) shows at the PIN entry screen. I'm fairly sure litter bug was referencing the fact the numbers move about the button you click has its number hidden and since text for image reading tech is rather shakey at the best of time still these days the hacker isn't likely to have tech to do this and as such would have to look at the images themselves to suss which nubmer is missing and therfore being pressed.
