  1. Mr Osbournes latest suggestion [qfc]16-17-824-65372977[/qfc] Page 7 Seems like a good middle ground on shattered heart 2: No limit on how many times you can build it per week. Trim req will increase by 1 completion each week until week 32. So effectively you have to have done it at least once for each week that has past since launch to keep the cape, however you are free to do all 32 asap and then ignore it. On the other side you can do 1 a week so as to not rush it if you wish, but if you miss a week and lose trim you can double up and get trim back. Seems like a fair compromise all round in my book: No arbitrary time limiting for content that will give the same xp regardless of speed. No 32 week absence of all trims No 32 week outright grace of everyone keeping trim without trying to keep up. Just enough grace to not force people into rushing it in order to keep trim, but equally ensuring they work to keep trim and have a chance to catch up if they miss a week or 2.
  2. I wish they could just be clear for once. That rule that explicitly bans multi-logging and transferring wealth was only there to stop bots...hence why it existed before bots were a big issue. Also that rule is not being changed but its being applied with 'common sense' erm I'm sorry but when a rule explicitly forbids multilogging and transferring wealth 'common sense' would be its an outright no-no, not 'this rule only applies in the instance that you are botting the gold of abusing GE etc. to gain gold unfairly.' If you want to apply it with 'common sense' to allow accounts to multi-log and transfer wealth, but not abuse it to make 1 account richer, then update the rule to say that - don't leave it as a rule that explicitly says you can't do that -.-
  3. Well melee's tendrils are an instant as opposed to a combo attack, which is why it hits much less. Ranged's attack looks way too random though, a low end of 66% is quite off-putting. The fact it is an instant a not a combo in of itself kinda makes my point though - these are supposed to be counterparts to each other yet they entirely different functions. I mean the dmg output vs what you take doesn't even correlate. Melee you take a little over 1/11th of the damage you inflict. Ranged you take 1/2 the damage you inflict. Whilst mage is around 1/3
  4. I like how after working to rebalance all counter-part abilities for balance of the styles they go and ruin it immediately with these new ones. Melee - 280% weapon damage with 25% dmg to you. Ranged - Up to 500% weapon damage with up to 250% damage to you. Magic - Up to 575% weapon damage with up to 175% to you. I know there is some variance in weapon damage stats between the styles, but these numbers see a bit to far apart to be balance, especially melee. All in all I'm not too enamoured with these abilities, though the heal one will certainly be a nice addition to some group pvm situations.
  5. The week by week mini goals could very well be what I suggested: Require 1/32 on launch, 2/32 the next etc. Or a broader version of it with landmarks at the 5s or w/e Diango portal thing sounds cool, be nice to mess around in old holiday events and be useful for fun clan-events and/or video makers. Glad to see crystal blossoms got tweaked and the rest looks good too =]
  6. I can see why they want to limit it, but I get where you are coming from too. I think perhaps they ought to be a mechanic in built to allow it to be done faster IF you are maxed and thus the xp doesn't really have an impact on your account as such (no levels to be had and a drop in the ocean if you want 104m). Or even make it an toggle option thing: You can take an enchant that makes you find rocks a little faster and lets you build it say once a day (I'm assuming here other than outright no lifeing you probably could not get all the rocks twice in one day, so this would be more of a 'healthy play' check than a limitation that would actually affect most people) BUT you get less xp for it. Or you do it normally and get the full xp and build weekly. Its not like it even has to be hard to create such a check for maxedness if they are putting a darn maxed guild in anyway - the check will be right there already. Hck I'd kinda be on board with the maxed guild having a whole 'shop' of content 'fast forwards' for things that can be completed but are ultimately just done for the sake of it if you are already max (e.g. the nexus thing) and maybe even some buyable replays (sort of like the D&D tokens but maybe with reduce xp or other limitations). Could make em all fairly pricey too since, generally speaking, maxed players are the overly rich ones they need to target with money sinks to fix the economy a bit.
  7. Wow gg Jagex saying the exact opposite of what you mean -.-
  8. That's what players wanted, but not what they got :P You can't activate those titles if you can't wear the respective cape. Didn't the news post specifically specify once unlocked you'd always be able to use the titles regardless of your current status though, which would imply if there is a current issue where you can't use them without being able to wear the cape it is a bug. Though I'm not entirely sure how you could know if there is a current issue or not, since the titles came out there hasn't been anything new added to revoke peoples capes thereby rendering it impossible to discover if they cannot be used once the cape is unwearable.
  9. I doubt that personally. Iorweth are the 'evil' not all elf guys with their 'dark lord' and that just doesn't seem to fit with anything we know of Naragi imo. I'd more expect that there is some other species from the elven home world that they are mixed-race with. The Mahsarect or Chelon Mah seem possibilities too in my book - the violent side plus its not beyond possible Seren took some with her when she left Frenskae. I'd think the Naragi thing would more likely tie into the the lore crystals, specifically the Seren + Guthix portion and maybe, just maybe, the statue that comes back to life after 32 rounds is a naragi - possibly the mortal child of Guthix and Seren.
  10. ancient combat is this week dg stuff is week of 26th I don't think its a flaw of the 1 bts per week system necessarily - it's a flaw where they have set up the expectaion that bts goes out friday before update and then suddenly decided to do something different.
  11. I know what you meant, I was just pointing out the flaw in your statement using pricing. An amulet only negligibly worse than an alternative wouldn't be 1/3 - 1/5 of the value of its equal counterparts.
  12. Whsiper 2.5m Murmur 1.5m Hiss 500k Dat 'negligible' edge arcane has...
  13. Oh my god yes. This and the spear... worth the wait. Now that I'm done fangirling over those, what makes the coin collector so dangerous? Just the fact that it autocollects money that people wouldn't otherwise take? 1m is a pittance in today's economy, and you're still pretty much picking it up at 300 at a time... I'm so glad of reset I got levels in a magic ring from pre-eoc i don't want and I'm kinda tempted to scrap zerker for the tactician and go dual wield. Also I just twigged with the necklackes: They are probably the range and melee versions of stream.
  14. Wow i ws way out of the floor skip prices starting at 4k lol Don't think I did too bad thou for lower res twitch stream with no pausing or rewatching XD
  15. Oh look, that item they said they'd never bring into the game. RIP Economy. The economy is already broken beyond repair, may as well let us have a little fun whilst we dance in the flaming ashes. Just because something is bad doesn't mean you make it worse. It means you should try to fix it. The only feasible repair is literally hoovering billions of gp out of the richest players accounts and forcibly lowering the price on top end items and they odds of them doing that is basically 0 since people would just rage and quit.
  16. Oh and i missed a big one: Ring resets are coming.
  17. Oh look, that item they said they'd never bring into the game. RIP Economy. The economy is already broken beyond repair, may as well let us have a little fun whilst we dance in the flaming ashes.
  18. They showed it as existing, but I didn't spot the price and they didn't give any further details so it didn't include that since we knew all that already.
  19. So they showed the Dg BTs in the live stream: 3 New pets are Blink, baby frost and hope devourer. The 'bone crusher' like item is Coin Accumulator. The weapon is Chaotic spear - requires zammy spear and 10 chaotic spikes. 6 new amulets - my guess would be power and tank for each style, or 1 of each style plus 1 for each hybrid pair. New resource dg is lvl 90 houses the Kalger demons, they have 'very rare drop tables' including 5 new titles (presumably bloodchiller, riftsplitter, pummeller, thunderous and warmonger) and will be a slayer assignment. Also contains gem rocks in here. Inside dg we getting hexhunter changes, bonfires, surge and escape function and generally new interfaces. The floor skipping looks to have a set price per floor starting at ~4k for floor 1 and increasing. Thats all I could gleam without a pausable video.
  20. Revolution: still uses abilities Momentum: far too weak to be useful This is why I think Legacy mode would be an improvement over both Revolution and Momentum for players who prefer pre-EoC. Granted, they could simply buff Momentum so that it deals the same damage as Legacy mode combat would, while adding a on/off toggle for NIS and it would have done the job as well. Players who can't deal with revolution are just, no. You can literally just load a premade bar and then ignore abilities with very little detriment to your dps if you're really that anti-abilities. Sure you can't do top end pvm like this, but they already said legacy mode probably won't be able to either as they won't be able to deal with certain attacks.
  21. Yeah you can tell what its going to od by the highlight, a yellow outline around th item you hover over = swap, a yellow highlight in a rectangle between 2 items = insert.
  22. Because last time they tried introducing talisman into the rc process it was uber popular managing to create 6 runes that basically never get used, aside from mud runes since they are a herblore second.
  23. ^ Yeah don't fall into the derp trap of not reading. This poll does NOT include the con rework - it's just a new D&D-esque training method.
  24. The only issue with that is if something comes up and you miss a week. With the 32 week grace period, you miss a week and you lose trim for a week so it seems fair. With the weekly update if you miss a week early then it could be several months. I don't see that as an issue. Trim is supposed to hard to achieve and maintain. I'd much rather see a few people lose it for falling behind than see potentially a large number keep it for many months without putting any effort into meeting the new requirement.
  25. I kinda feel like it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world in the shatter heart thing was tweaked week by week. So like on launch you must have completed it once to have trim Then next week twice etc. The 32 week grace period though serving a good purpose does kinda allow people to 'cheat' having the cape for 32 weeks if they aren't keeping up with it.
