  1. ^ This the end bit was about what to tune in to the bts next week to hear about (like they do every week) It indicates next fridays video content and subsequently the update due out the week after next.
  2. For number 1: You do have to worry about it now, unless you want shoot yourself in the foot for later on. For the overworld unless you have t90 weapons you are gonna suck at basic combat unless you use all three styles equally, so you shouldn't be focussing on one over others. Below t80 weaponry, even with the current imbalance (which fyi is being fixed rather imminently after some more beta time), there is a notable dent in DPS ignoring weaknesses. At t80 you can ignore the smaller nuances and just focus on mage/range/melee and not see any dent, at t90 you have free reign pretty much. For dg it matters because an important part of dg efficiency is investing tokens into the ring customisations - regardless of where you are now investing tokens into a magic ring is a waste because it has a finite usage which dies when you hit the top levels. Where as melee and range ones are always useful. The triangle isn't as strongly enforced down there, but given the weaknesses that do exist range is the superior choice, with melee a close 2nd. You may not care now, but down the line when you come up up to 330k tokens short due to investing in a bad ring and needing to swap you will care because those tokens could of bought many chaotic weapon repairs and/or dungeoneering xp to help clear the 104m needed to max that much quicker.
  3. 1) Not magic - magic is the worst class to use in dg because it caps out at lvl 90 damage (mimicking overworld limits) where as ranged and melee are capable of fully utilising the lvl 99 capacity. 2) Few divine skill spots and such that are nice, but mostly nothing. 3) Not overly - silverhawk boots from ge can make agility a buyable gained whilst doing other stuff, but its still time consuming and luck to get em. 4) Most efficient would be full manual, but in terms of being a bit afk revolution is far better than momentum. Momentums only really use is for using chinning or barrage abyss training methods where you don't want abilities firing off at all.
  4. Guess I need to try doing lots of c2 or 3 furnished and occs to find em then, unless they are kind enough to turn up for me in regular training. Assuming 5 is furnished due to lexcius link and 8 occult cause, it mentions occult, but I spose they could be in ab2 or warped. Just seems so odd I've missed them, all the rest have filled out so naturally thus far - aside from 10, which makes sense since I haven't done a huge amount of warped floors compared to the rest.
  5. Yup, I mean, if it seems obvious to you then it means it had to be obvious to everyone else and it's common sense, right? They should just change the challenge to complete whenever you cannot collect anymore from whatever you were collecting from, tbh. Or at least make it clear that they haven't actually met their limit. Just because I think common sense/a bit of thinking could alert you to what you've done 'wrong' does not mean I think it is obvious, hence that is will probably trip people up. It just means I think that given the information presented to you in-game it is reasonably simple to spot where you've gone wrong if you do hit that snag.
  6. My main thought on those concepts: Dat doesnt' look very crystal to me! I mean I know an outright crystal city would be hideous and perhaps it might have a sheen to it so its like a bit more crystal-ish, but I dunno it looks rather stoney and 'normal' for the crystal city.
  7. I kinda wonder if summer will see a relative mass of quests to make numbers up - elf city and elf conclusion would after all would make a very apt quest 200 and there's no way they have time to dev something else big enough to overshadow that, anc thus be worth of quest 200 status, I don't think. I mean we are at 194 - assuming Sept launch for elf city that'd be 1 a month june-sept (not counting elf) plus 1 extra to make it so elf is the big 200. Either way unless their 'back to 10-12 quests a year' blurb turns out to be utter bull it certainly seems the 200 landmark will be happening this year.
  8. I hope that means Elf City (still should have been Invention) is coming out in June then. Nope. The initial poll eta was 'summer' Later polls then went to july/august Most recent polls and QAs etc all said Sept. Elf City is not happening for a while yet.
  9. It's been bugging me lately that I have a few holes in my dg journals. Some are simple enough - the end of bilrach, last few misc and the 5th kalger pertain to floors I can't reach. But notably I am missing 5 and 8 in Marm and Thok despite having 1-4 6,7 and 9. Does anyone know if these are tied to specific floors/bosses? The content of 5 certainly would imply its tied to Lexcius, but I've bashed him in so many times now it seems odd I've never seen it. Anybody got any sage wisdom on where I should be looking to get these missing parts or is it just blind luck (and mine sucking)?
  10. So if you do familiarization this weekend at waterfiends, you get 3 x (1 + 1) = 6x charms? Sweet. Somehow I doubt that it'll work like that, they'll be discrete bonuses most likely. I'd expect a 1 charm drop with both bonuses to drop 4 charms 3*1 for familiar bonus +1 for the weekend bonus A 2 charm drop I'd expect to be 7 (3*2+1) etc. The divine location thing will probably trip a few people up but tbf if you use your common sense chatbox would alert you to whats going on, you get a 'you can't collect anymore from this type of divine location' message opposed to a 'you have used your daily allowence' message when 'capping' with high level ones that cannot 100% reach the limit.
  11. A bit of a curveball idea of the 'item collector' could be: There are a few more 'bits' to buy like a coin hoover and such, but then the actual 'item collector' could be a slayer hlem esque construct - eg you can put in herbicide, seedicide, bonecrusher, charming imp, gem bag, coal bag, maybe even prayer urns and it'd be a composite of their functions.
  12. ^ Carrying items you dont need to carry in runes? Bad bad bad bad. Also not using a BoB regardless of bank presets = bad bad bad bad. Those bones in the bob bump up the bones per hour quite significantly - after all don't forget even with just a tort you are pretty much doubling your inventory which means 1/2 as many bank trips.
  13. Rod of seasons next pls Followed by the Harp of Ages. Pretty please! This month looks quite fantastic. It's strange though that the Ninja team has now become its own mini content development group. I don't think that's a bad thing since they are as good as the main groups are when it comes to content. I just hope that the projects that now land on their plate, like the master capes and dungeoneering update, aren't asking too much of them to make solid, sound updates. From the way they talk lately it seems as though the dev team has been 'shuffled' about to create 3 teams with finite purposes (and one sort of sub team) The 3 teams being funnel, retention and ninja with 'combat' being a sort of sub team. Funnel and retention are dealing, seemingly, with all new content and major overhauls for the early game and the end game respectively, whilst ninjas are dealing with fixing all the little things that are to small for 'normal' dev. Personally for the month overall I feel kinda eh - the content itself is all sound but it feels very much like a filler month with no actual big meaty content to go do. Elder div - shoulda been april and shoulda really been part of Fotg Ashdale replay - shoulda been april and shoulda been part of ashdale update Thats 2/4 down with jsut delayed content. The Zarosian combat abilities, sound nice but its not a meaty update and does kinda feel like it shoulda been part of Fotg. Ninja fixes are great and all but again nothing hugely meaty to them. I kinda feel myself asking and wheres the content that isn't just extras? There's like entirely new to actually go and play on the bill for the month. Hopefully it is indicative of big things being in the wings for june/july/aug for the peak period.
  14. Personally in terms of the gaps we have I'd put shield bow at the top of the list, with a spear and 2h sword in joint 2nd. 2h crush and 1h/dual stab, slash and crush are of course already covered. 2h Slash does have godswords at 75 and zammy spear there too for stab, which weakens their case imo. 2h mage has staff already of course and 1h/dual got virtus and abyssal so they are well covered. All the shield classes are already there. Then ranged we got the chaotics for 1h/dual bolt, and royal for 2h. Death Lotus darts at 85 and Morrigans at 78 covers thrown. But then in bows 2h has zaryte, whilst the "1h" shieldbows qui at 70 with darkbow. So in terms of levels vs chaotic req magic is entirely 80, melee 1h/dual is out, shields are out, normal bows are out and crossbows are out. Whilst shieldbow is stuck at lvl 70 2h stab and slash at 75 and thrown has 70 and 85 variants. But in terms of what players craze for, spear seems a likely choice indeed.
  15. Yeah as people covered it os on of a pair (akin to mine/smith wc/fletch fish/cook) they were supposed to come out at the same time but jagex in its infinite wisdom decided that was a bad idea because hey whats more fun than a resource gathering skill with next to nothing to ACTUALLY use the resource for? The partner (inventor) should be going into dev during summer as elf city winds down so with any luck we're looking at a jan-mar release.
  16. Other than the fact you could sue a worn glory faster and that ring of duelling and tokkul-zo can both dump you closer to banks. And given the run distance even the ring of kinship probably works out about the same time wise. Glorying to edge is sooooooo outdated in terms of efficient banking.
  17. Whatever lodgings do do the effect is pretty much negligible since no-one seems to have logged any tangible difference in crew with different lodgings.
  18. 1) Take bob and invent full of bones to altar tht is directly next to house portal 2) Light burners 3) Offer bones 4) tele to a bank, tele to house 5) Rinse and repeat for maximum efficiency you wanna use the house party world and utilise other people's houses as houses that already have someone inside load faster.
  19. Shield is proving the bane of my existence, like a fortnight in and only been able to buy 1 crew so far. I'm sure I'll get there in the end, hoping I can strike gold with some good captains to help bump %s up - only got a cmb one so far, pretty decent only 1 trait tht was +sf so not perfect, but he'll do for now.
  20. Since we lack psychic abilities it is impossible to judge what it will do exactly. It could be an extra bonus entirely, or it could be a modifier to a bonus (eg takes the place of FOTS) in order to function without altering the equations. 50:50 odds. There's also the potential it won't effect story voyages and instead only effect repeatable voyages
  21. At least there only appears to be 20 tasks, so they have learnt from super september, plus with the jmod event extra stampings seems like if timed well you could clear 20/20 in like 15 days.
  22. You can already check offers on it, actual access to do stuff to offers is whats in the works.
  23. From my experience riches is worded badly and does NOT give 10% each round it gives 10% for each game as a whole. E.g. I got 14 extra points on a 140 score at the end
  24. Your gear seems fine, its more likey the 'if you know what you're doing' part that will make it tricky to get a team. One of them slightly annoying circular dependencies - you need a team to learn what you're doing, but teams won't take you unless you know what you are doing.
  25. Considering magic should be as strong as range which should be as strong as melee, it isn't. Why should melee be more valuable despite being only one 'class'? Yeah and its not str+att=mage It's str+att = 2*mage = 2*range Therefore each corner of the combat triangle is evaluated out of 198, the only difference being as melee has 2 skills 198 is achieved from the sum of the two, whereas the singular skills derive 198 from being doubled. 99 att and 99 str = 198 99 mage or range *2 = 198
