  1. Training combat in Dg is a really bad idea. Most enemies have high defence, and are spaced far apart, and you cannot use potions and prayers without wasting a lot of time gathering/buying/growing the necessary supplies. I doubt that Combat XP exceeds 20k/h at most - you'd be better off using Berserker ring, especially since you will not be able to use crush on a 2h/battleaxe with accurate style. Edit:oops accidentally quoted OP
  2. What's the fastest possible XP/h rate by crafting blood runes using the tabs from great orb project? Also, would deaths be faster because of the tab taking you closer to the altar?
  3. You could melee the whole caves if you sidestep the 360s' melee attacks (Pray mage, attack it after it mages, then step back so it mages again instead of meleeing), or you could Range to be safer (which I'd reccomend if it's your first task). I don't know what's the best equipment for meleeing (having only attempted it once and failing) When you say you have a 10m budget, is that excluding any equipment you might already have banked? If ranging: Slay helm Fury > Ranging amulet > Split Dtooth > god Stole Soul Wars cape > Ava's Broad bolts ACP > Karils > Black Dhide Arma skirt > Karils > Black Dhide > Verac skirt Zammy book > Eagle Eye kite or Guthix book CCB Barrows Gloves or Mercenary gloves Ranger boots > Snake boots Archer ring Inv: Diamond bolts for the higher waves 2 Ext Range Enhanced Excalibur 6 Brews 2 S Restores the rest is prayer pots You may want to bring Claws/Veng runes to KO jad at half health before he summons healers
  4. The charm drops are horrible... 40 kills of the Guards and only 2 blue 2 crim (didn't pick up gold/green) I tried using Sagaies with 99 range/ext/rigour, got around 20k Slay xp/h I'll be trying again with melee tomorrow.
  5. How is the Slayer XP/h at Mutated Jadinkos? I know it should be slow because it's singlecombat, and I don't think you can cannon there. Do the drops make up for it? Also, are Sagaies inferior to melee? It can hit 500+ but is much slower than a Rapier...
  6. I think that might be it. I tried Google-ing it, but I can't find a list of music tracks listed by release day.
  7. Hmm were there any other music tracks released with a previous update, but after the Slug quest? With the exception of Natural Selection?
  8. What are all the new music tracks released with the Citadel update? I've found 17 of them (Citadel Theme, Citadel I - XVI) but based on the number of music tracks now, there should be 18 new ones?
  9. If you use any vine except Pungent on a compost bin, it says "nothing interesting happens." Maybe it worked before, but not anymore.
  10. That's not the point. Maul is a useless bind for 99% of people in DGS. What's so bad about using a gorg 2h? It IS the better option. The thing is that it's 2 tiers lower than Primal. Since I don't plan to train Attack in the near future for PvP purposes, I don't have access to Promethium weapons. Maybe 99% of people don't have their Attack 19 levels lower than their Str? and how is it "not the point" to ask which enemies a 2h would be better on than a maul? I can't really decide just based on a simple statement of "XXX is better".
  11. No, bind gorg 2h + ccs. Maul is horrible against zombies etc. Do you have a list of which enemies are weak to slash yet can't be maged effectively? Off the top of my head I can only think of Forgotten Rangers and Mages.
  12. yup a few of us have messed with ppl in w117 or wherever with this we could not think of any real applications, though If you put the GGS on the table, then exit to lobby and return to the dungeon, then the GGS teleport and portal will not work. There is no message in the chatbox to acknowledge that you've clicked the spell or tried to enter the portal. It's a pity, since it may have had some use if the leader became the GT after whoever placed it on the table exits to lobby.
  13. I'm wondering whether a Primal Maul will be better than a Gorg 2h when my third bind is a CCS with a Surgebox. It seems that most things that are weak to crush are also weak to Magic (Forgotten Warriors with plates, Earth warriors, Fire giants etc). Is the accuracy of a Maul good enough on monsters that are weaker to slash?
  14. I already have a Gilded altar. It would be cheaper than paying someone 100k per hour or so to keep the burners in my house lit for me. But is that faster to get to the bank chest than a Duelling ring? it's not hard to find my familiar at the Castle Wars bank, especially if I set left-click to "interact." I can just right-click to withdraw bones, since I don't waste any time doing that as opposed to setting left-click to Take BoB. Will 2 Marrentils last for 52 bones though? I'm pretty sure I can have an Inv with house tabs, 2 marrentil, and the rest bones, with a Dwarven Army Axe wielded. Unless the Army Axe doesn't work for burners? OK, I updated the original post. I already had a Gilded Altar, it's not a problem of not being able to afford it. I'm assuming that it's better to store 1 inv in Yak rather than the full 30 spaces. What I want to know now is what would be quicker/better: -The extra 2 clicks and loading time to enter someone's house -Or the time required to light the burners + the use of 2 (3 if Army Axe won't work) inv spaces per trip for lighting.
  15. How many bones per hour could I offer on a Gilded altar in someone else's house? I've got 96 Summoning and Love story done for chipped Yanile tabs. I'm not rich enough to pay for lighters/runners in my own house =( How many bones should I store in Yak per run? Would the full 30 spaces be worth using, or would it be better to store only 27, due to the extra banking time necessary for the 3 more? Is mounted Glory to Edge the fastest way to bank? Or would it be worth it to use Duelling rings or something? Edit: I already have a Gilded Altar of my own, the 1m cost is not the reason I'm not using my own altar. The reason I want to use someone else's house is because I will not need to light the burners each trip. I am unsure whether the time taken/inv space used to light the burners will outweigh the time taken to enter someone else's house rather than teleporting directly into my own. In addition, I don't know whether 2 marrentils will last for 52 bones (27 in yak 25 in inv). Note that you no longer have to type the person's name each time you go in - after typing it once, you can click the name which will be saved right below the "enter name here."
  16. If you mine them afterward, CM because you aren't attacking as often and it helps the Cannon's accuracy. If you powerslay them use CR.
  17. I dunno, I tried pretty hard to not sound angry.
  18. I'm wondering about the time it takes for various items to degrade to 0 charge, while under constant combat (i.e. getting hit by attacks or attacking without pausing for more than 10 seconds at a time; therefore being unable to log out or receive a Random Event). Specifically: -Barrows -Chaotic weapons -Chaotic shields -Gravite equipment -Battle/Combat robes -Torva/Pernix/Virtus -Zaryte bow Many of these are said to take 10 hours to degrade in the Knowledge Base or by common belief. However, it seems that the degrade rate is not the same. I once used a mix of Ahrim's robetop and Battle robe (legs) at Soul wars - both started at full charge, but the Ahrim's did not degrade to 75 until after the Battle robe degraded from 100 to 60. At Rock Lobsters, Battle robes degrade by 20% in a little over an hour and less than 2 hours, despite the fact that I only wear it while casting, not while under constant combat. Using Chaotic weapons for various things, I've found that they never degrade more than 4% in one hour, which contradicts the Knowledge base's statement: I believe that Barrows lasts for 15 hours, Chaotics last for 25 hours, and Battle robes last for 5 hours. If anyone has data proving the degrade rates of anything on my list, please post it.
  19. Even the German worlds are this crowded. After a 2 hour trip, this is the gross amount I've earned: I used 1.2k cannonballs, 210 Yak scrolls, and my CCB degraded 4%. After deductions, it's about 2.5m profit in 2 hours. My XP gain was at 131k after 2 hours. It has gotten to the point where Range is more effective than Melee, simply because it's easier to attack a Frost dragon before a meleer can get close to it. Usually, you will only be able to target a Frost dragon when your cannon happens to be the first cannon to hit one that just spawned. I had 98 Range, 96 Summon, and 95 Herblore. My equipment was pretty much the best possible, with the exception of Archer Ring which I did not imbue, Snakeskin instead of Ranger boots, and Broad bolts instead of Rune or gem-tipped. 2.5m in 2 hours... I used to be able to make that easily in 1 hour, using a War Tort rather than a Yak. The efficiency of kills is now about 50% of what it used to be. In addition to that, Frost bones are now worth 2/3 of what they used to be.
  20. I'm thinking that when Jagex makes Tasks for Daemonheim (I think this was announced on a forum post or FAQ, can't remember), the reward is going to be an Aura. The Legs will probably be from Morytania, with the release of the next Myreque/Vampire quest.
  21. You lose 10% per day??? Do you have any proof of that?
  22. One thing that had its XP rates nerfed instead of raised was Fletching. No more 1m+ xp per hour doing Addy Bolts =(
  23. I'd say do a few quests for fun first. I can't think of many good money making methods that are low-level and not infested with bots. Also, get at least 43 Prayer before your membership ends - it's sooo much easier with a Gilded altar.
  24. Try to invite people that are level 5 in the job they want to do - usually this is more effective than recruiting 130+ that have not upgraded their roles.
