Not just you, I have the same problem and many others have been telling me the same.

Guess I'm lucky because I keep getting selective lamps, instead of those that come with a skill you must it them with. Got a small and a med one yesterday, got another med one today and a med prayer one.

I can keep 50 fps when playing on entertaiment / high performance mode on pretty much everywhere, and even then, I still get random freezes / fps drops on certain situations + a new pletora of bugs, so I just play on low performance / energy saving mode and still get 30 ish fps on even the most laggy places (stays at 50 on most locations). That's with a maxed m18x tho, so trust me when I say the problem is not on your end, unless you want to spend over 3k bucks just to run a browser game. Didn't get this laptop just to play runescape, I just always wanted a maxed alienware, the one before this was semi-maxed and still gave me terrible fps issues when playing runescape. Kind of funny how top end computers are having problems with runescape, which is supposed to be one of the less demanding mmos in terms of hardware, while other WAY MORE DEMANDING games run as smooth as a knife through butter even on max settings (and I'm talking about the very lastest released games). Right now there's a serious memory leak and poor coding issue on Jagex's end, it didn't start with bot nuke, it was way before that actually, but the bot nuke made it worse, it was like forcing a circle shaped object through a triangle shaped hole. Any serious game programmer would probably quit before trying to fix that mess, which is why this "solution" is taking so long. You know there's a serious problem when even with a top end computer, there's still no garantee that you'll be able to run a browser game...

Can't, it says this can only be controlled by the aplication. Anyways, I managed to use OpenGL and so far so good, except for that zooming bug that happens on fixed screen. Can use all settings on max and the game runs fine, I do noticed tho, that DirectX and OpenGL are better/worse at certain places: for example, fight kiln runs at steady 50 fps on OpenGL with all settings on, while on DirectX with all settings but auto-aliasing on (because of the AA vs Boom bug) it drops to 40-45 ish. Or on demonheim stairs, DirectX keeps 4-5 more dps than OpenGL when the place is crowed, altho, have in mind that DirectX is not running anti-aliasing because of this bug, so it makes sense it gets more fps. Basically, OpenGL is running the game way smoother for me. Edit: here's an example about how it looks with OpenGL + All settings to max , this is the place I get my fps downed the most (this is on laptop's safe mode, I'm not willing to put it on entertaiment/high performance mode just to get 50 fps all the time, when after 24 the changes are completely unnoticeable).

Can't use openGL for some reason. Whenever I try to do it and put settings on max, the game kicks me back to safe mode and I have to delete cache to "fix" it...

I've noticed that when I go on full screen or resizable, for some reason anti-aliasing stops working while bloom is on. It only works when I put bloom off. This doesn't happen on fixed screen. Wondering if I'm the only one with this issue, or if there's any official word about this. Using directx btw.

The new boss is just plain annoying. It's like, its features are just forced to make you wait, spend time and waste your supplies for the last part. It would be alright if its defense wasn't so ridiculously high not to mention the cap damage. What's the point of training if after certain amount my dmg won't make any difference? I really want to know who had this ridiculous idea, was it butthurt players who decided to limit others over things they are not capable of in game? (If I'm not mistaken, runefest had a lot to do with the creation of this so called pseudo-boss). So far the only way I've found to do some decent constant dmg is chaotic maul, and that's just kiting to save some supplies, but as soon as he decides to stop flying it's a spam fest of doubtful accuracy considering how badly he missed just [bleep]ing 30 seconds ago, and now he decides to make all hits 300+... Dunno if I'm just unlucky or what, but kinda makes you wonder how much the random factor affects this game, and there's still people claiming to have some sort of "skill" over playing this? Basically I'm just reaching the last part of the fight and pray that I can actually hit before I get spammed to death... This is not fun, not even challenging, this is just plain annoying and stressful. Edit: just tried with goliath gloves, it looks like the effect just stacks over time on him, at the end he wasn't even able to hit over 200 lol... So I recommend this.

If you can get an spectral, I guess that should do, otherwise go with the dfs. Reason is, when using mage, you'll be using it against creatures that are already weak to mage, so arcane or any other shield slot offensive item wouldn't make any difference. Edit: other thing I noticed, the lp value of this boss that rs wiki shows is wrong. According to the wiki it has 50k lp; now in my case: average 12 hits of 800 per pull, given that I killed him in 2 pulls, that would be 24 hits x 800 = 19.2k lp. So let's say he got 20k lp at most. Unless they are somehow counting the tentacles, but only the head needs to be killed to defeat him, so base it on around 20k lp.

Ooooh ya, probably that. I was using soa with arma staff so that should explain a lot. Basically didn't give tentacles a chance, plus the boss was down in 2 pulls. Comes to show how important attack speed is, specially when getting rid of something before it becomes too much to bare.

Hmm, I'm curious if I did something wrong or if it was just really bad luck. I went by the same strategy: prayed range and used my magic crystals but got owned by the mage tentacles. I had most of my brews when I got here and... used most of them, as well as blood barraging the tentacles constantly. Also used every other crystal I had. I honestly didn't think I was going to make it. Even though it's all over now, I'm still wondering what happened :blink: . Were you using ganodermic and eek? (this alone gives you 67% magic absorbtion not to forget the huge magic defense boost) and did you actually kill the magic tentacles? I'm guessing it could be because I killed the magic tentacles when the head was down, and only had 1 tentacle spawned while attacking the head; the tentacles went down faster with soa using this setup than with range. I also forgot completely to check if the other stats could be boosted back up while using magic crystal, maybe that had something to do.

Kk, confirmed if anyone was still wondering: Doing boss with soa + gano + magic crystals + praying range = works the best. I killed him in 2 pulls, even before the crystal effect was over (which was sorta disappointing considering I saved all 3 of them for that and the crystal last roughly 3 minutes). You hit in the 800-900s constantly and your magic defense gets so ridiculously high that you're pretty much untouchable if praying range (alongside wearing gano ofc). He did maybe 200 total dmg on me with this setup. The magic tentacles (the only ones you'll have to "worry" about since you'll be praying range anyway) die in 2 hits. I gotta say that I found waves 28 and 35 much more challenging than the boss itself. Altho wave 28 was sorta fun with dreapnips (I didn't even bring a pick lol). Wave 35 gets tricky with Jad spawning north, since the "safespot" is on pair-number squared area and it only takes 2 squares which are more on the north side than the south, so jad will move around. Imo, the is the perfect wave to spend your inv crystals, least until you get jad blocked (can be solved just moving one square west of the spawn safespot), still you'll most likely get hit by all sides of the combat triangle, including jad attack, which is the point of using inv crystals in this wave. Other than that, the other waves are fine and it's more like an endurance test. This is how much I had left after finishing:

It is (sorta). If you stand in certain place before both jads spawn, only one will attack you at a time, so it's basically b2b jads. Ofc if you fight 2 jads at the same time, it will be much harder than pretty much anything on rs as for today lol. During final fight you will take hits one way or another, but overall, not much harder than, let's say, the typical quest boss, just happens to have a lot of hp. Speaking of which, to people wondering if they can do fight kiln without nex equipment: have in mind that this is the first day of this update, and ofc people will use the best gear possible (even more considering it's safe) and many others will just wait for the results. It seems that the nex equipment "requirement" is an overkill requirement once you know all the key aspects of fight kiln (such as, knowing the spawn locations of jads), so it's safe to say that nex equipment isn't a must to do this. Ofc, it will make everything much easier but that's about it.

Glad to see they finally did something about effigy-scape. The way people were getting 99s by just planning effigy drops was completely ridiculous and out of context. They are meant to be an occasional xp-related drop, not a basis to get a freaking 99 on every single skill people "hate". This is how the game is supposed to be, by the standards of people solely effigy-training, their capes should have a penguin over an effigy being thrown by a troll, least that would reflect what they actually did...

Family of heavy drinkers so it's safe to assume it was passed on me lol... I guess the usual, worldwide known & most common ones: Beer (specially light lagers), whisky (alone or with ginger ale), vodka (alone or with crandberry/orange juice), certain scotchs, etc... I'm extremely picky with rum tho, only like clear ones, for some reason all golden/dark variations make me want to throw up, altho I do like bacardi 151. Other than that, less known beverages, such as "seco herrerano" (I guess the more known version would be Cachaça which is basically the brazilian version of it) among others. Not really into wine or smoking a lot, more of a social smoker so only do it when I know I'll stay talking with a group of people for hours. Like many people, I did try weed, mushies and such, but never got addicted to them or anything like that, altho I still drink this tea with marijuana leaves :P hehehe (the tea is legal).

Pretty much, as long as it adds up to 6 (1 dose flask with 5 dose flask, or 4 dose flask with 2 flask, etc...) you can put 1-5 dose flasks into a new one. What you can't do is add up doses on top of a flask that already has a potion, no matter what dose.

2 Jads at the same time is still pretty easy. Altho the gear will definitely be relevant to how they attack. If they have coordinated attacks (same/different type, same timing), then best shot is to go with typical high level bossing gear, just an extra jad, unless they have different types but same timing, then you would have to use ganodermic and pray range all along, unless you can get one of them stuck. If they have uncoordinated attacks (same/different type, different timing), then best thing to do is just go ganodermic and pray range all along. I guess the worst case scenario when using gano, would be a double mage attack, but I highly doubt that will kill you, since Jad very rarely hits over 450 when you have full gano, I tried this a while ago, and I only saw 2 hits over 400. Now the thing is, that new boss, gotta spread resources to have enough stuff to survive whatever that thing is. The new vial is a pretty good idea, we'll just have to plan what pots we'll be filling those vials with. 50 a day sounds fine, I guess something among the lines of 4 overloads, 4 renewals, 30 brews, 9 super rests and 3 super prays, all 6 doses, can be the best to fill my daily quota. I guess it goes without saying that those are ready to be filled with whatever pot you have.

Don't bother finishing tasks yet, it looks like they are bugged as people keep getting old tasks achieved AGAIN, that were supposed to be done. Basically, everyone is now stuck with a broken task system, so taskmaster emote is currently unavailable... I don't understand why they INSIST on fixing what's not broken. This whole f2p to p2p transition idea is probably the most chaotic, unorganized and bugged piece of content I've ever seen in 10 years of playing, if anything, they would only make new members quit for the overwhelming amount of content, just doing this "tutorial". This is the first time I actually decide to log out and don't bother with a new update, which is funny, considering the update was supposed to keep me insterested.

This. All of the items in the rare drop table are shared between monsters, which applies to most of the runescape monsters.

I think that's Taverley dungeon and those are blue dragons. If you look at the other screenshots on that page, you can see the trend of development. The last picture on the screenshots page is the black dragons lair in the Taverley dungeon. Those appear to be Black Dragons to me, including a baby Black Dragon. It appears that they're not just going to rework Burthorpe above ground, but below ground too. :thumbsup: What river would run through Burthorpe? Is this an existing river or would it be an entirely new one? That looks more like Brimhaven Dungeon, notice the pics with the red dragons on a separated area with an agility obstacle + a baby dragon, the wild dogs, iron + steel dragons with eggs around, etc... Last time I saw blue dragons, they were not so clear in color. Altho, I'm curious about that shade of red, it looks more brown-ish than red, I'm assuming those are red dragons since it looks exactly like their entrance in Brimhaven Dungeon.

Highly doubt, they said it will be for new credit card 1 month memberships. I can tell you prices on other methods haven't changed at all, even from before last update on prices. I've been paying the exact same through paybycash for more than 5 years now, don't see why it should be different for membership cards.

Was about time to be honest. Doesn't affect me, I always paid through paybycash which doesn't charge fees for transfers over here, so it ended up being cheaper in the long run. Guess they are focusing on a future income without affecting their current one.

Charm sprites for hunt rocks was the fastest for me, could get both rocks in 20-ish minutes. As for fishing monks for rocks, that was updated some time ago, you no longer get them fast there BUT you can now get fish rocks from pretty much anything that gives fish xp (harpooning, rocktails, etc...), unlike before.

You're probably right on the price, I looked around some more and found this one: http://www.asus.com/Notebooks/Versatile_Performance/K53SC/#specifications Which is available in my country with a 750 GB version, and costs 650-ish bucks. I'm more than willing to put another 150 for something like this but I really have no experience with Asus at all. I know Asus and Lenovo are highly recommended by some, but I really don't know. I'm tempted for the integrated + dedicated video card combo this one has.
