Can this laptop run runescape on max settings?
I'm not really much of a laptop person, but I will be travelling a lot soon and thought I could get my hands on a decent laptop that can run runescape as smooth as my pc does. So I came across this laptop: http://laptopreviewsadvisor.com/sony-vaio-el2-vpcel22fxb-review/ (SONY VAIO EL Series VPCEL22FX/B Notebook AMD Dual-Core Processor E-450(1.65GHz) 15.5" 4GB Memory DDR3 1066 320GB HDD 5400rpm DVD±R/RW AMD Radeon HD 6310) Have in mind that this is not for hardcore gaming, just something to keep me entertained while I'm out, I know it will never excel my current pc at performance. I'm worried about 2 things tho: 1. I've seen that video card in action before, and it was able to run runescape at max settings keeping 30 ish fps, but I don't remember seen it on a laptop with a processor like that, which leads me to my next concern. 2. The processor, for 500-ish bucks, I really can't complain, but how much will this affect game performance? By max settings, I mean including antialise and bloom. Edit: What about this one? http://www.asus.com/Notebooks/Versatile_Performance/K53SC/#specifications

New Skill?
I rather have a complete game overhaul/revamp that will keep me interested for a long while, than a new skill that most of the people who asked for it will stop training after the first day or once they find a way to [bleep] about how hard it is to train it even tho it just came out and it will take some time to find a proper way to train it.

Something in the middle of the Wilderness Volcano
Actually, by that I meant the object in question and the geographical changes in the volcano, now crater, that he/she was asking about. As for the pilars, they certainly are the left over of whatever was in that place. Place hit by a god's weapon from the god itself, you can except... unusual things to happen, guessing the few pilars that are left just show an attempt to keep what's left of that place on ground. Also notice how the crater attracts creatures of demonic nature, plus the pilar themselves hint about this, probably was a Zamorakian Stronghold where most of the war was focused on, enough to have followers (and the gods themselves) of all factions gathered in the same place, perfect place to literally nail a warning. This is obviously the work of Guthix, for many already mentioned reasons (the symbol, the key location and features hinting to how he stopped the God Wars, etc...) plus what other god would ask others to behave? What other god would leave a warning that says behave in the middle of the biggest battlefield that ever existed in runescape? Dunno about you, but I can't think of any other god than the one who built the place and have all the rights over it (as a matter of speaking, doesn't mean we now have to argue about who built what or not). Edit:

Wrong. We explicitly know Guthix stopped the Godwars using the power of the Stone of Jas, which he slammed into the ground which created the impression of the stone know as the Fist of Guthix. Then he went to hide the Stone in the cave from WGS under Lumbridge and on his way out stopped to weep which created the Tears of Guthix. Not true. During a cutscene in ROTM, you see Saradomin drawing power from the Stone of Jas to heal Commander Zilyana. You can see that the place the stone is in looks an awful lot like the Fist of Guthix cave. That was where the stone was located during the God Wars. Berenice still has a point, we're not entirely sure how Guthix stopped the wars. I think the giant sword sticking out of the ground is somehow related. It supposedly says "BEHAVE" on it - a fitting message from Guthix to the warring gods. Exactly, as for the cutscene, it looks like it happened WAY BEFORE the end of the God Wars and let's not forget the Stone of Jas has been on different hands from time to time, if I'm not mistaken Guthix used it on the first age only, and Saradomin on the third age (God Wars) hence its other name "Eye of Saradomin". Yes we saw Sara using it, the stone got abused that why Guthix hid it. (Though there's no definite proof other God's used it. Guthix used it during first age and hid it, Lunar clan discovered it, then the Kethsian's ended up with invoking the Dragonkin, then Sara had it hidden and used it during Godwars, Guthix showed up whacked it into ground banishing the gods and ending the war and hid it again then next use is Lucien nicking it in WGS. Is all we know of the stone historically) But we know from quests Guthix used its power to end the war and that he punched it into the ground, thus creating the impression at FoG. Logically speaking Guthix would of appeared by the stone, where Sara had it hidden, and then used its power. Taking the stone away with him. Sure we do not know precise details, hence I said that sword thing may relate especially given proximity, but we do categorically know Guthix used the stone to end the war and he punched it into the ground to do so. Have you done rotm? this is the cutscene we're talking about: Can you show us where does it say that guthix used the stone to stop the God Wars or in what quest is this revealed? As I recall, fist of Guthix is unrelated to Guthix stopping the God Wars, in fact, fist of Guthix was the result of Guthix attempting to destroy the stone, pretty sure one of the fog guys tells you that. Also, the events in kethsi happened in the 4th age (after God Wars and even way after the creation of fog, since the stone was hidden as Guthix couldn't destroy it) and I'm assuming you tried posting series of event chronologically. It has never been said how Guthix stopped the God Wars, just that he did. We are debating what are the chances that, what now lies in the middle of the wilderness, might be related to how Guthix stopped the God Wars, if not giving an answer; which is actually making sense with the "proof" we are gathering. And there is definite proof other Gods used it. All of the 3 "big" gods used it at some point, Guthix during the first, Zamorak during the second (albeit, he used to achieve godhood), Saradomin during the third, and then Guthix again at some point between 3rd and 4th, with the intention of destroying it but ended up creating fog instead (he couldn't destroy it and he hid it, which unleashed the chain of events we know regarding 2 of the grandmaster quests).

Something in the middle of the Wilderness Volcano
The raptor shows up at specific places around runescape, guessing he's stuck there because that's one of the spots he used to spawn before this update, albeit on ground level as the crater is now under-ground level, so it's not a surprise he's stuck, this happens a lot when remodeling places around runescape where even players can get stuck. Read our previous posts on this page to get your answer.

Dunno if someone figured out already, but it seems like the inscription says "behave". Sent a pic about this to a friend that knows about runic scripts (he's studying norse mythology), and he told me that: altho it looks like each script (except for 2nd and 6th) is taken from different specific variations, they are also the ones used the most empirically. It kind of makes sense, since "behave" have an "e" for the 2nd and 6th letter, and the inscription have the same script for 2nd and 6h letter aswell, also, the "B" is extremely obvious. Also, the crater is almost exactly at the middle of the wilderness, and, altho it is known Guthix stopped the God Wars, it has never been said how he did it exactly. The object in question looks like a hilt, it is common to have inscriptions (in the case of a hilt having one) facing down when wielding/using a sword, but the other way around when carrying them (so it becomes readable when you are not using it, aka, the blade facing down). So let's see, it has the Guthix symbol, it looks like a hilt, have the characteristics of a hilt, it is placed right in the middle of the wilderness (that was the biggest battlefield during God Wars making it the perfect place to stop it if having the means, which Guthix had); see where I'm going to? This is what Guthix used to stop the God Wars. And one last thing; am I the only one who noticed how the geography in the crater/volcano has changed proportionally to this object? Like, when it was bounty hunters, it was a quite tall volcano, then it was a little-above-ground level volcano/crater, and now it's a under-ground level crater with a huge sword in it.

So does that means gloves can't be adquired right now, or just a different way to get them being added soon? The info on the tower itself is misleading, if you check freestyle when you pick a boss you haven't unlocked yet, it says you must unlock him/her on climber OR endurance. But in reality, some must be unlocked on climber so you can get them on both, and some must be unlocked on endurance, so you can get them on both. I got them all but nomad, so it would be really nice to know if we can even unlock him outside of the special which doesn't count for well... anything.

Do No Evil combo is the hardest by far imo. If anyone is having trouble with it, what worked for me was: 1. Pray mage the whole time, except for Leeuni (red one) which uses melee and mage, they use all combat styles, but will mostly use magic, their range damage (usually coming from Ayuni (green one) is tankable). 2. DO NOT let Ayuni (green one) get close to you (melee range) as she hits the most out of the 3 melee wise; try to get her behind Eruni (blue one), using her as a cover, since Eruni does not moves unless you stand behind another pilar. 3. Kill Leeuni (red one) first since her magic dmg is the highest even with mage pray on (pray only reduce their dmg, does not avoids it). Just lure her to the pilar you moved behind of and attack her with melee, if you brought a spec weapon now is the time to use it, it might happen that Eruni (blue one) can still attack you but her damage is fairly low (she focuses more on summoning). 4. Once you take down Leeuni, move between pilars to avoid having Ayuni right next to you, or just use Eruni as a cover, the important thing is to avoid having Ayuni next to you or you will die within seconds. You must kill the demons Eruni summons before being able to attack her, she will first summon 1, then gradually up to 4 (a total of 10) depending on her health, they will also wander a lot. 5. Once you take down Eruni, use the pilars as a cover to kill Ayuni, there is a point in which she gets stuck as seen here: Hope that helps, if you are able to do this, the rest is a breeze.

Dragon eggs
1. Yes (altho is not really camp-able for obvious reasons, it took me around 400 kills to get my first blue egg) 1. Yes 1, Yes Source: I have all pet dragons and several eggs of each type.

25-Oct-2011 - Bot-Nuking Day: Making RuneScape Fairer and More Fun!
Am I the only one who noticed they haven't spoken much about their new way to spot bots? The only mention of it, is in that mail they send to some people, and it sounds threatening, yet like something that skipped its way out. Might be a wild guess, but perhaps what botters should really worry about it's not getting spotted while trying to get bots back to work. This sounds even more possible with the info Jagex have in possession right now, legally-wise. For what I can tell, the prevention itself might be a decoy, and a good one that, in case of failing, has something way more powerful behind it; maybe that's the reason Jagex is so confident about it, it's just one obstacle behind each other for bots; that actually explains the cold-blood behaviour from jagex regarding bot developers claims, like if they were doing exactly what they expected. It's kind of scary even.

Easy to do, they can, not only get mails, but also all your personal information through paypal and such sites purchaces, which are more than willing to give out sensitive info when there's a legal process involved. That's just my guess tho.

25-Oct-2011 - Bot-Nuking Day: Making RuneScape Fairer and More Fun!
I like how their beloved developers are just delaying the undeniable as much as they can in hopes of getting some clueless idiot to buy a bot, and milk some people out of their money before bailing the [bleep] out. Do they even realized they are being used and these so called pseudo-"developers" haven't been doing anything since the moment they realized they simply can't do anything about it. Jagex set up way too many barriers, and there are even more to come. Also, been hearing about them taking legal action against anyone suspected to be doing anything "supicious" with their clients, there must be a mail flying around the webs with threats and everything.

25-Oct-2011 - Bot-Nuking Day: Making RuneScape Fairer and More Fun!
Those were most likely accounts that had already been reported for macroing but were in the queue between the bot detection program and the JMod that presses the manual 'ban button'. I've seen a few of my levels go up a bit (most <100) and plenty fall but that's normal. Ya but 15 ranks in one day, on herb, being inside top 1k, without doing herb at all lol... They did say something about "saving" bans, so I guess it could be that, I'm just kinda surprised how hard it is to gain 1-2 ranks inside the top 1k training, but then I get 15 in a day without training at all.

They are definitely banning accounts or at least resetting, I've been looking at my herb rank (my highest ranked skill) and I've gained 10-15 ranks without doing anything related to herb, and I'm ranked in the 900s.

Maybe he means bots that are banned de facto and are just waiting for the update to get banned, technically, they are already banned as they are "marked" for it. I dunno, I guess only time will tell and we gotta have to wait till the actual update to see the real changes.

21-Oct-2011 - Bot-Busting and Bonuses For All
You gotta see facebook comments on that, and I quote: And the best one of all: I don't know where these idiots are coming from but wow... Whatever you guys do, don't read facebook comments on updates, unless you wanna feel like if your iq is dropping. If only these bot developers were putting their effort on something else

21-Oct-2011 - Bot-Busting and Bonuses For All
Don't think they would announce it just like that, expecting botters to prepare themselves. If they really have as much info as they claim to, they can just track trades to mule accounts just like they ban people involved on account stealing, when there's absolute proof ofc. My point is, if they made this announcement already, then it is already way too late for people who botted to do anything about it. As for their claims of banning people, it seems legit, just checked hs looking for people I know of that botted 99s, most missing.

So this is why they made everyone who downloaded an official runescape client update it. I'll jump on the "believe it when see it" bandwagon in the meantime.

Jiblix and Ken Genosis Demodded Over Speaking Out
Why do you think I find this funny? And by Irony, I repeat yet again, it would be funny if LoL wins because they decided to announce the award like runescape did on previous years, while LoL didn't. I don't care where most voters come from, just pointing out how that would be funny if it happens. I know people are not voting for runescape, I didn't either, I voted for LoL actually. RuneScape won last 2 years because they advertised it while the rest of the games didn't, now we got LoL doing the same thing, with a bigger playerbase (that alone is enough to win the award as most people who play LoL and are now voting/voted already didn't even know of the award to start with), what do you think is going to happen? (add on top of that the people who play rs and are voting against it). See what I mean? Don't take so much credit on rs people voting against jagex as if it was crucial, runescape actual playerbase is very small compared to LoL. All they had to do is announce it so people get to know the award, to win it, and they did already, rs players voting againt rs are just the cherry on the top. What the...? Did you not read a damn thing I typed out? Runescape was not going to win this year PERIOD, and it not winning has little to do with LoL advertising people to vote for them. Runescape was not going to win because the Runescape playerbase as a whole wasn't going to vote for Runescape as the best free game and, indeed, had been voting against Runescape long before the LoL playerbase began voting for LoL. If you don't get any votes, you're not going to win. You're here trying to make it seem as if Runescape isn't going to win because RG mobilized their fanbase and ran some kind of voting campaign to "upset" Runescape or whatever. That has nothing to do with anything. Furthermore, you have very little proof that in a straight vote between Runescape and LoL's where both player bases are satisfied with their respective games that LoL's would win. Using stuff such as FB, Twitter and YT as an approximate guage of how each would do is faulty. I'd be willing to bet that if WoW was put into the category for best F2P game (since it is now up to a certain level) that it would win, even though LoL's has more followers on FB than does WoW (can't speak about the other two). I know that you and your buddy Pal are on some kind of anti-Runescape/anti-Jagex crusade, but really. Try harder. I love runescape actually, been playing since 2001 thank you very much <3 And who is pal? So you have your own version of why runescape will not win this year, I have mine, move the hell on? OMG HOW DARE HE HAVE HIS OWN OPINION, BLASPHEMY! lol really... You're getting mad over nothing, I actually just read the first and last 2 lines tbh. And try harder doing what? We are just laughing at this whole deal lmao, as ll0rt said, I couldn't give a [bleep] about who wins, this is just way too funny to miss, wether we like runescape or not. With that being said, I better stop arguing with walls, at the end of the day, we all are going to laugh at this once the official announcement is made, so don't see the point of arguing. Peace out
