  1. This only happens when you use OpenGL on fixed, altho I've heard this might happen on DirectX, altho that's pretty rare. Also, OpenGL is way better graphics-wise for runescape, you can't enhance graphics through graphic card settings on DirectX (you're stuck with a predetermined "maxed features" version when Using DirectX), but you can with OpenGL (aa 8x, etc.).
  2. Just had this purple mahjarrat-ish guy spawn right next to me at gwd entrance. When I climbed back he was gone. Anyone else reporting these findings? guessing teasers for upcoming quest?
  3. You're missing the people who stick to a certain type of game. For example, when someone says fps, I automatically think about ut99 or quake 2, not CoD or whatever kids play these days. Same applies to runescape, its minimalistic gameplay is what makes it so unique, don't forget about the older folks who play rs for that reason, hell, I even play rs for that reason. Jagex knows A LOT of people are willing to pay membership JUST to vote, you'll be surprised to know how many they are, there's no way around this. Besides, if you're taking tip.it opinion as a reference you'll be proven wrong fast. EoC was a mistake, a attempt to put runescape up to date, but still a mistake. They should have kept rs' minimalistic gameplay and not "upgrade" it to an already outdated design in the mmo world. That's like taking 1 step ahead when everyone else is heading 10, and no, that doesn't mean it's a step in the right direction. The future of mmos is in the whole hack-slash-instanced model, which is gaining followers FAST, just look at tera, c9, b&s, etc. to name a few. Sure, rs is minimalistic compared to those, but hey, THAT'S WHY WE LIKE IT!
  4. Re-rolls, people rushing to pincers without doing many upgrades, etc...
  5. Link/Confirmation? http://services.runescape.com/m=news/solomons-general-store-last-chance-for-200-free-runecoins
  6. Dunno if this is the right topic or if it has been mentioned already, but starting from february, members will get a free solomon item every month.
  7. The voyages for scrolls on the bowl are a huge gap for my current crew/ship upgrades. I'm thinking about making the totems for scrolls and then hunt for some scrolls when I have to go back to the scythe for more cwood for port upgrades. I'm taking longer because I've been busy gathering stuff for port upgrades; so far cwood and/or slate port upgrades are completely done, need to work on improving jade crew / ship upgrades first and then go back to scythe for cwood + jade port ugrades (such as bar).
  8. Reading La Vita Nuova for God knows what time now, used to read it daily and carry it around.
  9. Kalphite king is going after one guy who's standing behind two other people blocking the kalphite king from being able to attack the person so he never actually hits anyone. Everyone attacks kalphite king with steel titans and maxed gear and the KK goes down in 45 seconds. So a tactic people used years ago at Barrows rears it head again? You'd think Jagex would know by now to give boss monsters the ability to knock people aside or walk through them. Still, good on players finding a technique that works. Actually no, if you look at the mage on the right, he's using entangle on kk occasionally, makes the kk rooted but still focused on a target he can't reach, repeat when the effect is over. This was fixed today tho.
  10. That's good to know. As for you gaining weight, diabetes is often very related to thyroids anomalies (hypo, hyper, etc.), so changing your diet drastically instead of gradually, is probably not a good idea, even if what you change it for is "healthier", chances are that you'll either gain weight in the case of wanting to lose it, or lose weight in the case of wanting to gain it, this is why is so important to visit an endocrinologist, he/she will most likely change your diet gradually and in the event of you having diabetes, that diet will have to go along with what I'm sure you're expecting, which is getting the insuline your body might not be making enough of.
  11. Gimme $10,000 as a start. :3 General query. Myself and others are 100% certain I have type 2 diabeetus. problem is I cant afford a doctor to get a 100% claification on that. I've made IMMENSE changes to my diet, cutting back eating, eating fruits, exercise (sorta) but nothing's happening. if anything I put on weight. I'm wondering from any other diabetics, what diet(s) should one focus on assuming I have got type 2 diabetes. DO NOT medicate, follow internet advice, book advice, etc... by yourself, if you suspect you have diabetes: go to an endocrinologist first and he/she will tell you what to do from now on. Source? My mother and my sister are diabetic, my maternal grandmother and my parental grandfather died of diabetes, every single one of my aunts have diabetes. I can tell you that the only advice you should follow is to go visit an endocrinologist as soon as possible, he/she will tell you what to eat, diet varies a lot between people, you can't expect the same diet that works with x person, to work with you. All of my diabetic relatives have completely different diets, even the ones with the same type of diabetes.
  12. Gif time!
  13. I'm more of a stationary gamer, hardly ever move on from a game I actually like, altho I do take breaks (runescape being the best example). I have a rule regarding mmorpgs ever since I got into them, and that's to always play 2 at the same time, which, has been runescape + some korean mmo for the last 11 years. Other than mmorpgs, been playing rpgs since I can remember (nes fire emblems, chrono trigger, mother/earthbound, etc) and rts (aoe, c&c, etc.), I was left in the previous millenia when it comes to fps, I actually still play unreal tournament 99 and often host games with some friends. Not really into consoles anymore, altho I do have modern ones just for the sake of keeping with certain series, mostly nintendo ones like smash bros, metroid, etc... So ya, why fix what isn't broken? Guess I have a thing for older games/series. As for playing korean mmos, it's just to don't get bored of runescape and/or have something to do besides runescape when taking breaks from it. Played silkroad till they increased cap over 80 (had a lvl 80 warrior/cleric), Requiem till the company went to hell itself and became too ridiculously expensive to keep up with mall'd players (had a 79 zerker when that was the cap, couple of other caster toons for lower tiers), archlord, aika, woti/boti series, etc... too many to mention, but the first two are the ones I played the most besides runescape. Currently moved to Continent of the Ninth Seal, so far so good with the whole stamina system that prevents grinding.
  14. Up to you. I chose to get all bamboo, powder, slate port upgrades before going any further.
  15. Stopped at 60%-ish in scythe to work on port upgrades (bamboo, gunpowder, slate and if possible cherrywood upgrades), so far so good. Also built 3 whale heads to attract more whaler voyages, I might be wrong, but I think he's bound to plate rewards.
  16. Visual bug, you still get sea witch.
  17. The song of so many ex's...
  18. We are used to that, it's even worse on small fan-concentrated areas outside of the U.S. where everyone is either a steelers, patriots or cowboys fan. They were saying the same thing about Manning not adapting and getting another injury, but look at it now... And I'm with you on the Bengals, texans are starting to look beat up, same with the ravens.
  19. Broncos here. I hoped for a first seed. But predicted either a 2nd seed with a record like 11-5 or Denver to be in the place the Bengals are now, mostly because I expected the AFC to be more competitive, and thought it would take more time for Manning to adapt. But damn I was wrong, first seed and 13-3 record, not only they went beyond my expectations; Manning adapted extremely fast, half of the regular season he could already relly on his receivers almost blindfolded. I haven't seen a team this complete since the 97-98 Broncos; right now they are the jack-of-all-trades of the NFL: extremely good offense, very good defense, best tackle, you name it. I'm really happy for my team.
  20. Yes, you, because nobody can post anything here without the likes of you putting a label on people... over taking a joke/comment way too seriously... Jeez, it's just a thread about funny pictures. Rofl
  21. And you made that point by posting an image yourself, oh god you're so edgy! Back on topic, gif time:
  22. How did you? I mean... how is it even pos... Erm... dude... I'm out of here...
  23. Apparently, the only point of a relationship is sex. According to that unfortunate anonymous individual, that is. Anyways, couple of other pics:
  24. I dunno why, but I've never seen people ashamed of playing runescape, at least not where I live, hell I don't even recall people fitting the typical "rs nerd" stereotype, least not in person. I've been playing this game since I was 13 (2001) and I'm 24 now... All the people I know in person that play runescape are in the very least fit, and are far from any of these stereotypes, but then again, even schools are different here, the whole concept of bullying and such doesn't exist in our schools, if anything, kids with the lastest games were treated better. Wanna know what's even funnier? I re-met my fiancee thanks to runescape. To make the story short, I met her 3 times before realizing she was the same girl, over knowing her on runescape, turns out she lived 5 min away from me. And the guy who introduced her to me on rs (more like re-introduce) is now one of my best business partners. Guess that also counts as a confession haha.
