Although even Karil has fairly low magic defence I wouldn't recommend maging him even with Storm of Armadyl, unless you're wearing Virtus or something. I think Storm is slower on Ahrim and equal to rapier on Karil. With around 5 mage attack bonus I splash around once every 20 casts on Karil. I definitely recommend maging him. He has no mage defence. Melee misses more often on Karil than Magic does.

Tormented demons are around 4.5 - 5m/h assuming a 1:250 drop rate and 61 KPH (which is what I average). I don't really know about glacors so I'm taking a wild guess here: around 5,6 - 6m/h. Glacors are more inconsistent than tormented demons in my opinion.

The main reason people should use a neitiznot helm at tormented demons is because you can store Steel of Legend scrolls in it. You use a unicorn so I think it's probably better if you swap the helm for a ganodermic visor. Replace the dragon boots for infinity boots / ragefire boots. Replace the SW cape for an Ardougne cloak 3/4. Replace the explorer ring with a berserker ring. If you can't afford that, replace it with a seers' ring. Magic attack is important at tormented demons.

I mage Akrisae and Karil. With the exception of Ahrim, none of the brothers have any mage defence. I don't know why people even bother bringing range to Akrisae.

You should really consider getting an arcane stream before starting mage slaying. It helps a lot in the long run. Anyway, on task SoA is 92 - 93% better than Fire Surge and a lot more cost efficient. You should only use Surge on ice strykewyrm. I recommend you use SoA on dragon tasks, demon tasks (including abyssal demons, nechryael), ganodermic beasts and skeletal wyverns, and a PPS on multi combat tasks with a cannon.

Not really, because all Barrows brothers, with the exception of Ahrim, have pathetically low mage defence. Even with negative mage attack you will rarely splash.

Dragon claws don't increase your KPH by a lot. I use the same setup as Q does and I get 63 - 66 KPH using the south-east spot, with an EEE. A steel titan is required to use the south-east spot though. You're too slow otherwise.

What about Eucalyptus? Huh? Were they ever broken? Yeah, and they still are. Other than the polypore staff, leech curses don't activate when you're casting combat spells.

And leech curses still haven't been fixed. Zzz...

Herb runs with farming juju potions are good cash and xp and only take around 3 - 4 minutes to do.

Congrats... I've killed 340 tormented demons since yesterday. No dragon claws, eight effigies and one ruined dragon armor slice. And a lot of troll drops like key halves, nothing(!!), nature runes and uncut gems. A 1:42 rate for effigies is nice though, I guess. Edit: make that 378 kills and ten effigies. 1:37 drop rate now.

Ganodermic beasts

Right. At 97 Magic (overloaded) you'll be looking at an average hit of around 374. 5 - 6 casts on average. I just got an iron dragon task myself (76 of them) and it took 5,4 casts on average to kill one dragon. 19 minutes 45 seconds to complete the task. 415 runes were used in total. Also got 6,517 gp loot per dragon on average whereas 5,4 casts cost 8,100 gp so I lost 1,583 gp per dragon, or a 120k loss overall (ignoring the overload cost).

Assuming you're using overloads, Armadyl battlestaff, Slayer helm and arcane stream necklace and maging them in Kuradal's dungeon, you're looking at an average hit of around 430. Each dragon should take around 4 - 5 casts, so you'll need around 300 - 350 Armadyl runes.

Don't use elemental spells (save for ice strykewyrm) if you have completed Ritual Of The Mahjarrat. Storm of Armadyl is a lot more powerful (it's more than 90% better DPS than Fire Surge) ánd more cost efficient - you're paying 5,06 gp per damage with Fire Surge and 3,65 gp per damage with Storm of Armadyl. I wouldn't bother with extreme mages. The boost drops too fast to be very useful. Use overloads instead. Or, get 92 Summoning and use a wolpertinger. You could also use a polypore staff. It does good DPS (comparable to Melee on a lot of tasks), it's cheap but it's very low XP (only around 75k Magic xp per hour).

Just FYI, hybrid gear is kinda broken @ cwars. The stats are there, but you don't get the +3% bonus to damage. You do now.

The only thing I would change about your outfit is swap the dragon boots for ragefire boots, but that's it. You could consider saving up for an arcane spirit shield. They're great at tds.

Not really, as pps is slower and glacytes have 0 def against everything. But pps doesn't require as many switches. Meh, I got the same KPH when using a PPS instead of a rapier.

Eh? What was wrong with leech curses? None of the leech curses activate if you're using combat spells anymore, save for the polypore staff. The bug has been around for about three weeks now. They were changed three weeks ago because some friends of me used them to scam people. So it's not a bug? They deliberately changed the way curses work? How did your friends scam others?

PPS and rapier are even in terms of damage.
