  1. Are there new areas coming out, though? i.e., are we actually going to need more distance? Seems like this update just provides more uses for terracotta and azure It is confirmed there are NO NEW REGIONS.
  2. In that case I am avoiding even trying the Iron Man mode. It's not worth it I have to pay to get to the members areas. The free game sucks, that's the reason I'm a member. There is almost nothing to do in the free world if I'm at a high level in any skill. You are allowed to buy bonds on Ironman accounts from other players. That could be a feasible way for you to play on an Ironman account and still be member without paying real cash.

I avoid is as much as I can.
  4. Also the nod to Mod Osborne on the BTS video relating to Dragons Den, is about him always making 'very long' posts.
  5. I added in my own idea =3! https://[LikelyScam]/m=player-proposal/a=13/c=5iWOvLQWxJ8/view-idea?idea=2147
  6. He was the most professional of the player J Mods they recruited but none of them were really professionals. They were all popular streamers that Jagex hired. Most of Lee's job just seems to be making some videos and putting on some community events. They've all been pretty bad, from what I've noticed. Kinda what you'd expect when you hire unqualified people. He still does far better work than the others. Although here and there he still makes horrid mistakes. But can't we say that from certain other Jagex Moderators as well? Such as Mod Infinity and Mod Balance? Don't we mock Mod Timbo for his balancing habits? I think there is something to say about every person. Guess what? Noone is perfect!
  7. With the latest news I noticed from Mod Lee, this rule now can be reverted to the old situation. Here is Mod Lee's post about the matter on what happened on the HLF:
  8. But where is the line drawn? We have at the moment no idea. Requests for clarification has been sent out multiple times now, and we are still in the dark. I'll keep you all posted on this matter, but till we know clearly where we stand in this matter and know what is allowed and what isn't.
  9. There are already multiple people been revoked from the HLF for posting content from the HLF outside. I know 2 cases so far, and that is the reason the rule stays till there is actually a black on white clarification whether the rule remains or can be removed.
  10. For now, the rules stay as it is till there is more clarification. It is better to be safe than sorry.
  11. Recent events on the High Level Forums has now led to a ban on sharing anything directly from the High Level Forum and other Specialist forums to elsewhere. Sharing anything that is posted on the High Level Forums or any other specialist forums, such as VIP Q&A, is against the rules. Consequences may be in revoked access to the High Level Forums. This also means that is now no longer allowed to post information from the High Level Forums per rule 1.1 - Breaking or encouraging others to break any of Jagex's rules is still in effect and sharing information from the High Level Forums would break that rule. Thank you for reading! The Tip It Staff.
  12. They are the best and most recommended way to go to 99.
  13. Oh please. There are a hundred empty worlds for Castle Wars. And most people who want to Trim typically join a FC for it which hosts private games in empty worlds where leech trimmers are the only participants, and they all leech. In these games, there are no actual Castle Wars players there, since they aren't part of the FC, who are interested in actually playing the game. So no, leechers don't ruin it for actual Castle Wars players. People who are actually interested in playing Castle Wars and not leeching can use any of the other dozen worlds to host their own game, or they can play in the official game. Also, even if this Trim requirement is removed, there will still be people who leech for Profound Armour, as that's a prestige item. So that objection doesn't quite stand. That is basically the effect this requirement had on Castle Wars. I remember back in summer 2013 that people were really trying to have fun games, but subsequently got 'crashed' by trimmers forcing tie games. Due to the longevity of this requirement, it has pushed all potential players of this minigame away. Back then, the game was still played actively by people who loved that minigame. Now less so because people was withheld from playing that game properly as people going for trim basically forced people to. I am sorry but this is just not how it works. Most of the trim FCs host tie games, as using alts to rig games is illegal. As such, Trim FCs (and I have been part of one), never crash other worlds, they always find quiet worlds for themselves, and hate it when outsiders join because there is always a chance they might ruin the tie game. In fact, Trim Fcs frequently have to fight trolls who crash them and try to break the ties, and they do this in a number of ways, either by hopping, or by having an anti-squad who kill the crashers and keep killing them as soon as they leave base for the duration of the game in order to preserve the tie. They might not do that now, but they sure did back then. The 'trolls' are a natural response from the CW community who feel that their fun is being cheated out on. That seems an unfair ban in my eyes as it is a fair response. It is of course bad to cause intentional annoyance, but if they get cheated out of their gameplay, it is a fair response. And do not forget, it is a war ;). I have no intention in denying that the Paradigm shift didn't play a role, but the game as it was back then was still not dead. It was however dying. Whether the final cause was the paradigm shift or the toxicity of the trim requirement, cannot be determined. What can be sure is that both play a major role in the current state of Castle Wars.

  15. Do not forget, many of the trimmers only say to keep the requirement out of spite. I would even bet that many of them were opposed to the Castle War requirement, and once they trimmed their opinion changed completely. Note: the above is only from what I think, it may not necessarily be the case at all and only be an idealistic approach from my perspective.
  16. It didn't fit anymore with no teaser images.
  17. If you are going to get 120 Thieving, I would suggest going for the full outfit yes. It shouldn't take that long to get. Next the topic of the exp/h rate. If you are doing the top 4 clans in terms of exp, and I've seen a list somewhere where it shows the top 4 based on the inclusion of VOS, it should come out to around 400k/h. Provided maximum boosts of course.
  18. I've been tallying the number of supporters of letting the Castle War requirement go or changed to something else versus those that are in support of keeping the requirement as it is. This is done on the HLF thread itself. I must make not that I only counted those posts that mentioned the Castle War requirement and had a -clear- stance of it due either quoting a post and supporting it, or outright saying what they think should be done. The following was the result: Those in favour of letting go of the Castle Wars requirement or getting it changed to something else: 27 supporters. Those in favour of keeping the Castle Wars requirement or reverting it to how it was previously (was only 1 person): 6 supporters. *Note: there might be up to 1 margin of error to either sides This is only to show how the people feel at the time of doing this "survey". But when I see the results, it seems there is a good consensus that the requirement has to go, and I think the numbers will only rise.
  19. It didn't really fall out of nowhere if you have been watching the Completionist scene. People were already increasingly annoyed by the sudden change of what could've been expected as a completionist requirement and it caught many by surprise that requirements, previously thought, were maybe trimmed if a requirement at all, instated as a normal completionist requirement. Many were even proposing to tuck some of these requirement, for example the Cadarn title one, into things like tasks. Also, they didn't changed their mind on themselves as there was an outrage from a whole range of media and even on their own forums as well. Overreacted with, perhaps a few hundred at best. Smaller if you look only at those with Completionist at the time. I myself have finished it, and if I speak for myself I am happy to see it go from at least the normal Completionist requirements. And I can see for many other people who think that requirements should be fixed retroactively to their "Statement of Intent". But as you argued, Jagex is afraid of doing so in favour of those who already had it completed. However, I have noticed that there are many more in favour of retroactively fixing the requirements, and thereby possibly removing or changing requirements, than those in favour of keeping these requirement that will be an oddball in the list as it doesn't match the "Statement of Intent". It is not the only thing they can do. Now they too at least acknowledge that the requirement was beyond stupidity, they at least now can make amends. Often it is the first step of many in progress towards betterment. For instance, they could change the requirement to have all three Minigame Hybrid-armour as many are proposing and agreeing on. That is what I leave it at for now.
  20. Actually I did get the opposite. For months I've been taunted with camera issues, and it seems to have largely (for 95% or so) vanished.
  21. They did put it in for him. If you read the last line, you can notice that there was an intent to release something along the requirement specially to please Omustardo (Castle Wars). Albeit it is not said directly it is the Castle Wars requirement (5k games at the time), it is pretty much a fact that it was that requirement due to him being the only one that has achieved this requirement at the time of release, along with the whole list of trimmed requirement that also was released. In other words, he was the only person who could wear the trimmed cape on release day. He wasn't the only one with 5k games played at the cape launch If you remember they awarded 1 game played per ticket. There were alot of other people with 5k games played just they didn't do everything like him. You know, the BS like livid farm, or all the collect the lore crap. Also, alot of people got shafted. Hell I have 6k tickets and only like 1200 games played because I stored the tickets as armor sets in the POH. But, you know Mod Timothy aka [wagon] can't be bothered to try and do things right. But, hey keep ignoring me and cheating me out of castle wars vet cape. I'm sure in May when my ten year anniversary is up they probably screw me out of that cape too... As I said, he was the only one who had done all requirements at the launch of the Trimmed Completionist Cape. He was the only one to have completed every single requirement the Trimmed Completionist Cape offered. Nothing else implied. Why then leave out soo many other perfectly similar requirements?
  22. This topic is now stickied instead of the previous "Update Teaser" topic. The reason for this is that we haven't been supplied with an official teaser in a long while, and this topic was created to take place of the previously mentioned topic.

  24. I managed to find the specific post: Note at the bottom he hints at something specially made for Castle Wars.
