  1. Did you run the installer as an Administrator? This person had the same issue and solved it by creating a SwiftKit folder in his program files folder (program files (x86) if your on a 64bit OS)
  2. looks like you have an anti virus program blocking SwiftKit.
  3. Simmo

    Java problem

when you tried to reinstall did you use this version http://javadl.sun.com/webapps/download/AutoDL?BundleId=66980
  4. have you rebooted since you installed swiftkit?
  5. If you uploaded it then you may be able to recover the URL from the history, if not then your last option would be to see if it is in this folder C:\Program Files (x86)\SwiftKit\Screenshots SwiftKit doesn't store any files online so if it is gone from that folder i'm afraid there isn't much we can do. I would also recommend this http://kb.swiftkit.net/question-how-to-backup-screenshots.html as it has a few solutions that can help prevent this from happening again.
  6. Created a KB page for others who may have this issue as well. http://kb.swiftkit.net/question-runescape-wont-load.html
  7. What language is your computer set to? There is a know issue that is caused by a flaw in Windows its self that we are yet to resolve. This flaw causes our security measure to kick in when your computer language is set to Chinese and perhaps Japanese.
  8. Are you able to load RuneScpae inside Internet Explorer?
  9. Our best options is to wait for the RC version of Windows 8 as there have been some changes between RP and RC, I believe the public will be able to access it from the 20th of Augest. Companies like Dell and HP got access to it on the 1st.
  10. Just something I want to jump in with, and perhaps I should see about commissioning a guide for this someplace... It is actually possible to do this with browsers, at least for users with actual graphics cards as opposed to integrated graphics chips. I'm not sure exactly how it works for Nvidia, but for ATI their graphics cards come with the catalyst program. Among it's features is the ability to force it to use certain settings and ignore the graphics settings of games. If you set it to Anti Alias automatically regardless of what the game says, then you only have to enable the bloom option in RuneScape and they will both work. You just have to remember not to turn AA on in the game, or even though the setting wont change anything, it will still turn bloom off. Makes me think there might be a future with some sort of general tech guide or something, but that's a discussion for another time and place. I know exactly what your referring I tried getting this to work with SK myself unsuccessfully, I believe this issues I faced was the CCC was set to force AA it would only apply to SwiftKit and not the Java applet. If anyone has been able to get this to work with SwiftKit then please let me know how and I will added it to the SwiftKit Knowledge base and see about getting videos made up demonstrating how to do it.
  11. If it weren't for people with custom host names we would hard code it right into the SwiftIRC client to force everyone to use that mode. Removing the ability for people to trick you. If people have concerns or questions please feel free to post in the SwiftKit forums and we will do our best to answer them.
