  1. I am afraid there's no other way to get them if the droplog.ini is empty unless you have changed profile as we don't store any information on our servers. Can you remember anything that may have caused this, like swiftkit closing while the logger was open or something like that?
  2. Have you tried clearing your internet explorer cache it may be a case that installing java did work but the page with the error is saved

I have updated the page to better reflect the situation.

I'm not to sure what is going on do you want to try remote support? http://kb.swiftkit.net/question-remote-desktop-support.html i see you were on IRC before you can find me in #swiftkit

    Error code 70

what happens if you change the install folder to say program files/swiftkit2 ?
  6. Simmo

    Error code 70

When it freezes on zib like that the installer is finalizing the install there's a slight bug where it doesn't update the progress bar correctly. So is SwiftKit accessible at all? even with the may not have installed correctly message.
  7. Simmo

    Error code 70

you need to right click the installer and go run as Admin once it is install you need to then do the same with the swiftkit icon
  8. If you are still unable to find them after checking the Swiftkit install folder, they may be in the Windows VirtualStore folder this a some what hidden/complex folder to access and I would be willing to talk you though the process of access it.
  9. This is cause by and issue with our content delivery network, that is spread across the world. So far we have had reports of this in some areas of the US and now Belgium. While we try to work out a permanent solution we invite you to use the staff server. This can be done by selection staff server on the SwiftKit launcher. I will PM you both the password so you can access it.
  10. I would also try clearing your Internet Explorer cache, as it may still be trying to load something that was specific to IE8 that is still cached.
  11. Swiftkit shouldn't be (we have no code telling it to) using your imageshack account at all it uses our own private API key that was given to us by imageshack. what happens if you change the upload host inside SwiftKit to imgur do you still get the same error message?
  12. no the issue has nothing to do with swiftkit its is all java related.
  13. It runs off internet explorer, the backend of it not the browser part as such. (if that makes sense) at present there is no way to change this nor do we currently have plans to add the ability to. your jagex cache can be found in your c:\users\yourUserName\ folder it will be the folder called .jagex_cache_32
  14. To be honest i'm not sure, I have installed SwiftKit on a standard account and right clicking and going run as admin and it works fine where as other the only way to get it to work was via the admin account itself but that's windows for you.
  15. do you still get a blocked message ?
  16. looks like a firewall is blocking swiftkit access to the internet.
  17. Well if it is happening with chrome I think you may find better support by contacting Jagex via the official runescape forums or opening a support ticket (if they still have them). Have you tried deleting your RuneScape cache or changing what rendering mode you use? OpenGL, DirectX .ect
  18. I have been trying to research this but not finding anything useful, you could give this a try http://kb.swiftkit.net/question-how-to-install-vb-runtime-files-.html
  19. you may find that will have conflicts with both installed. Do you experience the same thing when using Internet Explorer? We have no direct interaction with the java applet or the game it's self, SwiftKit is simply a web browser so i'm not sure if there is anything we can do programmaticly to fix this.
  20. no you will need 32bit as that is what RuneScape uses and because SwiftKit is 32bit it would be unable to talk to a 64bit version of java.
  21. This would be caused by your java install begin corrupted, I would first uninstall java, via Add remove programs in your start menu/screen and then install the 32bit version found here http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
  22. I'm going to close this thread as a means to prevent a misunderstanding. SwiftKit is safe to use. The alert in question isn't directly related to SwiftKit but rather a method used by Jagex to display the applet. It is nothing to worry about. AVG says SwiftKit-RS[Caution: Executable File] because that is the name of the process, If you were running the old version of the Official RuneScape client (the stripped down internet explorer window) you would get the same results but with Runescape[Caution: Executable File]. If you have further concerns please by all means PM me and I will unlock the thread.

    Swiftkit error

are you on windows or mac?

    Swiftkit error

Sounds to me like your Java install is corrupted I would try re installing it.
  25. What i think you will need to do is this Click the "Start" menu, click "Accessories" and then click "Run." Type "Regsvr32 C:\Windows\System32/Msinet.ocx" into the dialog box. Press "Enter" Then restart your computer. This should then make the missing file visible to SwiftKit.
