  1. Have you tried installing to a different folder? Also did you run the installer as an admin?
  2. have you tried loading Runescape in safe mode? this can be done by holding down the "s" key while it is loading.
  3. not directly, there are certain tweaks we have used in the past that may allow it to work. Are you able to link me to the acc feed?
  4. if you go to view>settings>screenshot entire screen, and then try to take a screenshot does it work then? If so it may mean that SwiftKit is unable to find the bounds of the java apple to auto crop the screenshot. Which would indicate an issue with your java install.
  5. I would try reinstalling SwiftKit to a new folder and Rename C:\ProgramData\SwiftKit to C:\ProgramData\SwiftKitOLD
  6. I haven't been able to recreate this myself, I would try re installing IE. But given the age or your OS and that its the media edition i believe there may be a conflict with the way we force SwiftKit to use the latest version of IE and not revert back to IE6.
  7. Well given that RuneScape is compiled to be 32bit unless you have another application that requires it, 64bit java is next to useless because the data would still only be able to move in 32bit chunks. If anything it would create more overhead. I would highly recommend to everyone that they use Java 6, update 38 - Windows Offline (32-bit) which can be found here. http://java.com/en/download/manual_v6.jsp the offline edition is to ensure that the java installation isn't sandbox by Chorme or FireFox and is accessible to SwiftKit.
  8. I'm trying to get conformation from jagex or the Runescape official forums about this. To me this may be something Jagex have done to force user to use java 6 because of how bad java 7 is. The first thing I would do is close SK and uninstall all version of java from add remove programs. Then go to http://java.com/en/download/manual_v6.jsp and download the latest version of the offline 32bit java 6 this should be "java 6 update 38" once installed reload runescape. if the message then continues to appear I would wait until we here something from Jagex before clicking continue. Other wise you should be good to go.
  9. what version of windows are you running and is it fully up to date?
  10. I would highly recommend you downgrade then http://[Use Quick Find Code]/sl=0/[Please Use QuickFind Code]?25,26,168,64187094
  11. have you tried installing it to a different folder?
  12. Just for future reference, if others come along this thread your username will only come up if you are listed on here http://services.runescape.com/m=hiscore/overall.ws?category_type=0&table=0 SwiftKit takes all stats information directly from the runescape website.
  13. In your swiftkit install folder there will be a file called debug.txt can you please post the contents on it here.
  14. Tip.it now have a real neat mobile site, we may be able to link to their guides. This would certainly be possible as for the Andriod version we have socializes aspect to it already that allows you to comments on different things, it wouldn't be a full blown IRC chat, but the ability to post comments or tips i don't see why not.
  15. i'm not sure as to the cause but I would try deleting SwiftKit-RS[Caution: Executable File] from your swiftkit install folder
  16. have you tried running SwiftKit as an administrator?
  17. It should have only need to be run as admin that once, however if for some reason that is not the case, Right click SwiftKit on the Windows Homescreen (or what ever they call it now) and go open file location Right Click the SwiftKit shortcut and go properties then compatibility Then check run as admin down the bottom.
  18. Um yeah pretty much unless you are able to do a system restore but i'm not sure if files are backed up in nature though
  19. the screenshots can be found inside your swiftkit install folder, normally c:\Program Files (x86)\SwiftKit\Screenshots\ I would also recommend this as a back up just in case something were to happen to your computer http://kb.swiftkit.n...creenshots.html All Accounts and their data, notes, screenshots are all stored locally and not on SwiftKit servers.
  20. well are you able to test it for us? Internet Explorer is integrated in SwiftKit.
  21. ok yeah that IRC error is different to the on I thought you had, are you able to copy and paste all the text in that error message box, if it is the error im thinking of it should be safe to check the box that says hide further errors.
  22. what happens if you try to play on internet explorer?
  23. Thanks for this I have always know it was the case (we spent a lot of time trying to manage this before they added to ability to hide the menu bar ingame) but never bothered to take the time to prove it. It amazes me the amount of people that complain about the ads. For there to be any sort of effect on your computer in any way be that processing or networking, you would need a 20 year old computer. Its not like they a streaming new content constantly once each ad are downloaded and rendered there will be very minimal network activity in the bytes and the processing will be so low that its next to immeasurable. Now if there were away to prove that the java processing and graphics rendering is the cause of lag and not SwiftKit it's self we would be on easy street. Yes but that is the official client the rules state that 3rd part clients must load the runescape webpage and not bypass normal navigation so until this rule is change we are not going to bypass it.
  24. The reason it goes back to 256 is because jagex over ride it using the applet tag. This applys to all browsers not just swiftkit the reason why it works with the client is because they aren't able to force the 256 in the same manner
