  1. Been a bit since I updated this, so here we go: 91 Crafting: 92 Crafting: I'm actually getting slightly bored of crafting, and I'm halfway so I think I've earned a break. Probably going to work on Mining a little, Range and some Dungeoneering for the next few days until I'm ready to go back to it. It actually got me thinking earlier, about how much progress you can make in a year. End of September last year, I was 1380-1385 Total Level with 130m Total Exp. It's pretty awesome how far you can get in just a year if you set your mind to it :P Glad to know I'm not the only one who has gone through that. Also thanks, totally forgot about that, free 20K craft XP ftw :)
  2. Nice xp gains Medi :D And here's something that's just so disturbing I need to make sure you don't forget about it.... >.>
  3. The EXP boosts I was speaking of are the continual rewards Jagex has been awarding P2Pers as of late in an effort to get them to stay P2P as much as possible, and increase membership revenues. Basically you stay a member for a certain period of time, and Jagex awards you with free EXP for it. The busier areas of the F2P game aren't necessarily skill areas. Lumbridge courtyard, the grand exchange, Varrock Bank, Al Kharid, Daemonheim, to name a few. Any area where players tend to congregate, really. Just make sure you check a busy world. Just like all things, there are occasional dead periods where no one is really doing anything. However I just quickly rushed through those areas all on my homeworld (which is not even busy, really) and there were lots of people talking about a variety of things. Also trying checking out Botany Bay on a busy world, but be prepared for lots of spamming :P
  4. Thought I'd jump in here with the gorgeous Olivia Wilde. I'm sure she has been mentioned before but anyways :P 2nd pic is pretty large so i hid it :P
  5. They have a tendency to release their DLC at a much later date for Pc / Ps3, if their older games are anything to judge by. Usually a few months down the road. i would be very surprised if it isn't out for Ps3 by early 2013. I'm waiting for it as well :P
  6. Was ages ago, but when I was much younger and in highschool I was grounded for buying an iPod Video. Worked my buns off all summer to make the money for it, and my father didn't approve of me paying that much for a "silly little cd player you'll barely use" when in his opinion i should be saving it for something he approved of. Was grounded for at least 3-4 months for that (although my parent's weren't overly good at enforcing that). Still use my iPod almost every day (good investment) and now both my parents have one... Funny how that works.
  7. For F2P, the answers would be.... 1) Swordies (noting with stiles) will net you the most cash. Gp per hour is hard to say with prices being so all over the place lately. 2) Fly fishing with dropping ~ 65K Exp/hr. Bring a few urns with you and get more when you run out (fast lodestone teleing and dg banking) to maximize this. 3) Swordies with gloves from Fist of Guthix give approximately 28K Exp/hr at level 92 (more at higher levels but I don't know the exact amounts) and the best profit possible. If you don't enjoy Fog and don't get the gloves, I would suggest Lobsters, around 23K/hr at 92, which is more then 20K/hr for Swordies without gloves. Bring urns as well, as they boost Exp/hr.
  8. I would agree that the game has definitely made a shift to a more serious type of game, but there are definitely a lot more casual players out there then serious ones. Things like friends chats and clan chats have pretty much made it extremely easy to communicate without having to gather in common areas, so it's not surprising it is less noticeable, though. Serious players also tend to be the ones who are most vocal, since they care the most, while casual players usually have much smaller forum and in-game presence, so are a bit less noticeable. All the recent EXP bonus items and rewards for getting high levels have really put the serious players in the spotlight, but try spending some time in one of the busier F2P worlds in the common areas, and you'll see lots of casual players :P They are still there, methinks, they're just being overshadowed.
  9. Sorry it took me a few days, but I've been exceptionally busy irl, so haven't been able to update until now. List updated : 10/07/2012. Added: Martinez45 - Removed: Otto mo biel - bumped/no longer meets the requirements J4ws - bumped/no longer meets the requirements Pzykk - bumped/no longer meets the requirements - I put a link to the downloadable version under External Links accessible at the bottom of each page, but it totally slipped my mind to add the google docs link as well. It has been added.
  10. Some one mentioned I should share my thoughts more in this blog, as opposed to a simple level update, and I've had a terrible day that's worth talking about, so here we go.... *begins to rant* Had a really awful day today.... Today being the one day a month where i do 99% of my shopping, including groceries, miscellaneous stuff I need, etc... However, unfortunately, I decided to pay with my bank card at the grocery store like I usually do. The clerk neglected to mention the fact that one of the buttons on the machine was broken, causing it to enter itself twice. I put in my pin.... error. Huh? I do it again, error. What's going on? Did I maybe put it in wrong? Making sure I was very careful to enter it correctly, I put in my pin a third time. Error. Card deactivated, invalid card. So thanks to them, my debit card (which i do all of my purchases with) is cancelled. Thanks, guys, I really appreciate it. And so I have to run back to my house to find my credit card (which I loathe using), transfer over some funds online, and then jog back to be able to pick up my groceries. Which also means I will be forced to go way out of my way to a branch and get a new bank card next week.... fun fun. And here comes the fun part, having to use said credit card to do all of my purchases today, some of which required me to know my credit card pin, which I don't offhand, this forced me to call in and have it changed. As some one who just recently moved, they had most of my information incorrect. Was real fun trying to convince them that I was who I said I was. *Takes a deep breath* As some one who tends to live a very simple and easy going life, when things get complicated, it really tends to ruin my mood. Thankfully, at home, I can sink into my RS and do some relaxing crafting - and enjoy the new video games I bought... So here is my regular update: 89 Crafting: 90 Crafting: That last level was gotten maybe an hour ago, lightened my mood some. I've also been training ranged on and off, but only gotten maybe 700K experience, so nothing noteworthy yet.
  11. What I'm currently playing? Fallout 3, my favorite game of all time. It is 100+ hours to full completion, and I've beaten it at least 4 times, and about halfway done again :P The last games I actually bought though, would be Bioshock 2 and Super Mario Bros Wii.
  12. Nice blog, best of luck :D Might be interesting if you attached stats/quests/music track pictures right from the start so people could see your progress from the very beginning :P Thought I might add, If you wish to truly stay a f2p skiller, be careful you never log into a p2p world or use the trial ;) Best of luck ^_^
  13. Depends how you classify it. First job ever: Mowing Lawns + basic landscaping First job with an official paycheck: Busboy & Dishwasher at an Irish Pub Current Job: Agent & Supervisor at a call center. Don't worry about too much about what it is when it's early on, at the moment you probably just want the $$. Later on worry about a career and what the job is and all that :P
  14. Sizeable update 9/30/2012, 16+ people updated. Added: Tier Six - Removed: J4ws - bumped/no longer meets the requirements - Interesting question, Entomologist, I really am not sure, but it seems plausible. I am not sure if anyone has kept a record of such things or not.
  15. Been a few days and I've been busy, so here's an update : 87 Crafting: 88 Crafting: I Maxed Cash's 99 Runecrafting Party: Medi took too long to send his message for when I levelled crafting the last time :P Grats on maxing Runecrafting Dino, very glad I could be there :D
  16. None of it was taken "at their word". Multiple people were there when both were starting to try and break the record, with a screenshot sent in real time within a few seconds of taking it (so no chance to tamper) and also sent at the end. It was a lot of work, and I don't advise anyone tries it as it's a real hassle to verify and accomplish (and several have tried and failed), but it is proven that said xp gains occurred within the specific time period allotted. it will indeed be incredibly easier when runetracker back up and working for us. Let us indeed hope Jagex makes good on that vague, off-hand promise they dangled in front of us.
  17. Another update post, seems the end and beginning of the months are the busiest times :P Updated 9/27/2012 Added: Jaacco - Removed: - Fixed: Isthatok - experience glitch. Futureman08 - double position. Was nice seeing you in-game Isthat, hopefully you'll find some time to log in again in the near future :)
  18. been awhile since i've updated this... and almost a week since I levelled anything, which is somewhat discouraging I have to admit. As a Level Chaser, it's a rough transition into an Over-Exp'er ;) . Here's my progress: 15 Mil Woodcutting Experience: 83 Mining Good news is now I can officially start going for 99 Crafting :D Starting at 86, so I still have a fair ways to go. I'm also going to get to 15M Range Exp at the same time, since occasionally I need something that's fully AFKable. That will leave me with only 1 99 skill not at 15m+ Exp (fishing). I'll probably go for 15m Craft Exp and 15m Fish Exp in between Craft and my next 99 after that :P
  19. I wanted to do the same thing, know exactly when I started playing on my first account, but since it was over 10 years, Hans could not help. If you find out a way to do this, definitely let everyone know :P Besides waiting for the 15 year cape to come, I haven't found a way yet.
  20. Well, Og said in the livestream that assuming Botany Bay works, Random Events will be removed from the game. I guess you'll get your wish.... Gf free xps.
  21. Randomly came across this thread while bored and browsing, interesting idea ;) That would be mine. I try and change it at the beginning of each month to keep things interesting :P
  22. Ergh, double post. Update: 9/26/2012 Added: Tazxc - Removed: Poliwhag (bumped / no longer meets the requirements) - Active Total List Yognosa (bumped / no longer meets the requirements) - Active Experience List Strlvl40 (bumped / no longer meets the requirements) - Converted Experience List - Sorry Kaida, you aren't #200 anymore :P It's been a bit since i did this, so figure i'll throw out the specs as well. Minimum level required to be on the Active Skill Total List: 796 Minimum exp required to be on the Active Experience List: 13,036,928 Minimum level required to be on the Converted Skill Total List: 1463 Minimum exp required to be on the Converted Experience List: 138,964,405 -Oh and thought I might add our site can finally be found using Google (took them ages to index it). If you google the name, or the lists, or something similar we're there, though this forum and a few others usually appear above the actual site since it has more traffic :P should make it less of a hassle to direct people to it.
  23. Lol, my bad, was an error on behalf of the joint parties of tiredness + updating multiple people across multiple lists. I've fixed it, sorry about that :P
  24. Heh, well, in the next few months until 2013 I'm hoping to get: 99 Crafting 99 Dungeoneering 15m Range EXP 15m Woodcutting EXP 85 Mining And maybe a few other miscellaneous goals i'll add along the way :P
  25. Exactly, only the main rooms are ever really packed, the side rooms that are a little further in usually only ever have 1 or 2 people in them, maybe less if the area has indeed been cleared out by botwatch.
