The F2P General Discussion Thread
I wonder if Witch's House and Death Plateau would be one of the quests added for F2P? Though their wording made it sound like they'd only get Let Them Eat Pie, Wolf Whistle and Druidic Ritual. Oh, but Death Plateau would mean that Claws from Bronze --> Rune would be F2P, right?

How is this possible?
They only needed a +4 boost.

What kind of things would someone be able to build with Lv. 5 construction anyway? I just looked at the skill guide, they can make the really basic furniture for a parlour and a kitchen. Enough to allow them to have... decent... house parties, I guess? I don't really see a reason for wanting to prevent them from visiting each other's houses personally.

Behind the Scenes: March 2013
Not really true. Alter or remove all remaining items that have an element of randomness about them that can be seen publicly - eg flowers. That 1 alterations would stamp it out pretty throughly as far less people would partake if they cannot see the outcome with their own eyes or had to go else where (eg irc) to do so. Couple that with a rule change and possibly and Jagex made system and you'd stamp out a further persistant few who would be willing to risk it as long as it's within the rules leaving behind a relatively small number who could be managed via bannings and such. Far less people, maybe. But that doesn't mean nobody would be doing it. It IS the best gp/hour method at the moment after all. As for a Jagex-made system... The only thing that would solve is the scamming. And then, changing the rules to add something for gambling would only work if they actually did something about the reports. And even then, people could just do all their gambling talk in an irc room and not have to worry about people reporting them. If there was far less people willing to gamble due to rules and no in-game way to conduct it, it wouldn't be the best gp/hour method anymore precisely because it would be much harder to do. Certainly there is no way to 100% stamp it out, but the same can be said of anything in-game - you can't 100% stop lurers or scammers or beggars or any other faction. What you can do is seriously diminish them by rules and tweaks that make their efforts more futile due to lack of 'customers' (for want of a better universal term) thereby making it less appealing to do. Re-adding trade restrictions can 100% stamp it out as they won't even be able to transfer the wealth to the other player.

No matter what kind of changes they do to gambling tools, the only way they can really prevent it is to bring back trade limits.

The F2P General Discussion Thread
They're talking specifically only about Burthope and Taverley. There's a lot of members content in F2p areas already so I don't see any change about this one. So they're going to put barriers to the south of Taverley in F2P worlds to prevent people from going there? Or would literally everything there say "You need to be in a members world to use this feature"?

They changed it to "Just About the Game EXperience" a while ago actually.

wot Yup, I can verify. I don't know if they still remain, because I have an edited .hosts file that blocks stuff pretty aggressively at the IP level, including ads. But they most definitely have had goldselling ads in the past. To be fair, this is something every fansite runs into from time to time. I can't see these either, but I know Silverion has used Google's AdSense, which came with humorous results sometimes (because it's keyword based), but also sometimes wound up with bad ads. Then Runehead had some problems with a particular advertiser-- I can't remember all the details, but I had to agree with the site admin at the time-- always best to have a secure browser. But Zybez had it out so blatantly and up front that I really have trouble believing it was unintentional. There's a reason why Jagex has blacklisted them by way of the in-game filter. No, I was pointing out that he thought we shouldn't be ashamed of those who farm gold to sell it, then proceeds to say he doesn't like Zybez because it displays gold selling adverts.

A dying skill?
I find using my own altar to be much better than using someone else's, because I can teleport directly inside my house with a tele-tab and not have to worry about burners running out.

On the other hand, there has also been players who have bribed others into voting with stuff such as "If the vote reaches 500k and it becomes free to access with regular membership, I will give away this christmas cracker!"

His evidence was conversations with people whom he encountered in the game, whereas I suggested taking an informal cross-section of various communities and fan-sites across the net. I can safely say that everyone who plays on 2007 servers actually prefer the EoC. (And I know it's true because I read it in a YouTube comment.)

No, you cannot. Voting in a different language just shows the message telling you that you already voted, but in the other language.

200M in all Skills
Oh I'm not doubting that some people get their 99's for certain, non-recognition driven reasons, I was referring to wearing the cape after the goal has been completed - you want to share your achievement with everybody. I wear my skillcapes under my keepsaked Classic cape.
