Item Discussion & Price-checking
^ assbow is like 178m G.E. right now, and I was able to get one instant yesterday by offering G.E. price (don't remember exact buy price, but I *think* it was 2gp under G.E., might be getting confused with something else I bought though.) So if you wanted to get one for 180m, it's not too late.

[spoiler=lang]- RuneScape Road Trip - Starts 1st May
It makes good sense. They shouldn't reward you if you didn't finish it completely. That would be similar to giving you a farming cape before you hit 99.Or they could just let the higher level locations fill up your limit even though you have 1% left and the location fills up 3% each time.- Ambler3's Blog- [VITALIS DROP!!] :D
If nobody does rots, prices for malevolent increase. If prices increase, then it becomes more appealing and more rewarding.- Item Discussion & Price-checking
It's like 48 base damage increase from using Sing instead of Virtus book (even less for Virtus book --> Abyssal orb)- Future Update Discussions
tfw they use HTML5 each time they make their BTS videos, so the content looks super nice during the BTS, then you get there in-game and you're like "awwww"- Ambler3's Blog- [VITALIS DROP!!] :D
Assuming that person doesn't bring any cape, ring or amulet. If I die in full Tetsu + Dual Drygores + reefwalker's + leviathan + whatever amulet is annoying to lose + torva gloves/boots or streads/pneumatics, then I would lose Reefwalker's, Leviathan, my amulet along with my gloves and my boots. People *have* lost Nex sets and such due to server DCs because they had no choice but to bring more than one set of armour for whatever they were doing (thought I'll admit I hadn't thought of that possibility when I said 100% degrade on everything, but still; bringing more stuff with you = more risk.) What you said about the stuff that degrade to dust is a good point, though. What about something like 25% degrade on those? Even though it would be an increase of 5 times the repair costs compared to what they'd currently pay for the 20% repair, this is still nothing compared to completely losing those items. Remember, I was mostly trying to lessen the penalty for when server/isp failures makes people die and fail to get back to grave. How about this? Gravestone remains in the game, with the same penalties as before, except if you can't reach your grave on time your stuff gets sent to an npc somewhere which would be like "I found your items on the ground during my travels; they seem to be in a bad condition, though." and give your stuff back at 0% charge. As for undegradable items, we could make everything degrade, but I don't think that's a good idea. I've thought about something for those, though. What if, when you died and couldn't get back to grave on time, you could retrieve your non-degradable items in the same way as you get your degradables (from the same NPC), but instead of being degraded to 0%, they get marked as Damaged and have to be repaired at a fraction of its G.E. price?- Ambler3's Blog- [VITALIS DROP!!] :D
It's not a troll. Items worn already degrade by 20% when lost on death. If you completely remove item loss on death AND divide the 20% degrade between every degradable item, then you're nerfing death penalty too much for no reason. Make it so every degradable item degrades to 0% on death is better than making you lose stuff on death for several reasons: 1: people (virtually) only lose items from grave when they die and cannot get back due to server outages/etc.; 2: when you lose stuff on death, depending on what you had (next gear, expensive lv 90 weaponry come to mind), you potentially lose dozens, if not hundreds of millions (or lose a lot of time, like if you lose superior ports equipment); 3: if stuff degrades to 0%, then you still have a good penalty on death without it being to harsh; 4: sure, it's still kinda harsh for people who die due to server errors, but now you're looking at an average of like 10m in repair costs (number not scientifically calculated), rather than potentially losing dozens or hundreds worth in gear (you would never lose your stood, but you would still have a penalty to pay on death; 5: would be a great gold sink.- Old School RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds!

I'd say instantly degrade every degradable item you have on you to 0% charge on death.- JeRambo's Blog
