I just do them in a sandboxed linux vm.

I did mage with Chaotic staff and slayer helm, subj top/bottoms, spellcasters and ragefires. Getting Ice down to like 200 hp, then aggroing the rest, finishing off Ice, killing Shadow, then Smoke (hehe Big Smoke), then Blood. Oh and you should bring ovals. Put Freedom on your bar or keep Def abilities up so you can Freedom when you're in a really bad spot (mainly while trying to aggro the others and while trying to kill Ice with the rest on you; you don't want to stay frozen for too long with all 4 on you.)

It's because it works off whichever god you sided with during BoL.

While I agree that most of the content should be accessible to the majority, there needs to be content only available to few. And besides, it's not like those capes would give a massive advantage to those who have them. Cape which shows you have 104m exp in that skill, nothing much to it, exact same stats as a regular skillcape, except it's a recoloured dg master cape with a different icon on it.

That's sorta the point of 120 capes...

Shard of Zaros... I can strongly accept that. Is it a pocket-slot item? But to what extent? Chaos gauntlets, too, were buffed with this update's patch notes, but they're still useless.

Chaos gauntlets don't really make sense anymore anyway, since bolt spells don't even require Chaos runes anymore. They were great in pre-EoC when you actually required runes for every cast, since you could wear those gauntlets and get just a little lower max hit, but at a much lower cost. But now that Blast spells only cost like ~100gp more in runes (and virtually no extra gp cost because lol abilities), coupled with the fact that being able to get Chaos gauntlets automatically means you can use Fire blast, as long as Chaos gauntlets only affect bolt spells they'll still be useless. Don't really see why they even bothered making such a change tbh. The only way in which they could be useful is to make them increase the damage for any spell (making magic even more OP than it already is compared to ranged/melee) or maybe make it so bolt spells deal more damage than Surge spells on Lv. 80/90 weapons, making them OP as well.

So does this make Chaos gauntlets actually useful for lower level players now? As in, does this make bolt spells deal more damage than using Fire Blast?

An Archers' ring drop is better than a no DKS item drop. :D
