This is a forum, not an article.. in articles I use more careful words to say that I BELIEVE the same thing I just trew out here.. 2- See my last post above this, that explains why I don't think Jagex CAN know the numbers. 3- Should Jagex not have proof before accusing its player base like this? You hadn't edited in the last part of that post yet when I replied... And if Jagex did ban all of the people they knew had bought/sold gold at some point, you'd be looking at them waving away half of their player base. That's reason enough not to want to ban all of those people, IMO. Ban the big buys that buy/sell billions made from gambling/staking and the gold farmers to make a point, sure.

Hm. Strange that they hadn't even removed whatever the hacker put on your account; when my brother's account got unbanned, it seemed that it was rollback'd to right before he got hacked (or at least, everything had been left intact.) We haven't checked the OSRS side of things on his acc, though, so maybe the hacker did the gold farming + the gold selling website advertising on there instead, and maybe there's several couple millions in the OSRS bank. But that seems unlikely to me, since the hacker went through the trouble of registering their computer to J.A.G. when OSRS isn't protected by J.A.G.

They never even look at ban appeals, and from experience, I can say that they won't reply to e-mails sent to [email protected] if it's about unbanning a perma-banned account. What you can do, though, is contact a JMod who will get their security experts to look over your account; They can then unban it if they find that it was obviously someone else who got the account banned. If you can let me know what your character's display name is (or, if you don't remember it, the username), then I can get them to take a look at your account.
