  1. What are you talking about? Where did I say I hated all the other updates? It was my opinion on which updates i found useful, as this after all is a discussion topic. Sure i will come across the others at some point but that's the same for every update.
  2. Hmm, 1k for f2p worlds sounds fine but it should so be 1.5k+ for members. Slayer update is the most useful thing i'll use, the kills-left is very handy. edit: rephrased as not to offend. :razz:
  3. Yeah i know a lot of ppl who have stock piled just incase, i myself have to. So that could cause a slow down on GE.
  4. Broad arrow heads sell on med easily after a few hours... Well, if you say so but it took 8hours+ for mine to sell at min last night. Must just be unlucky.
  5. Be warned that the broad arrow heads take ages (even days) to sell, even at minimum. Runes are are safe bet tho, will sell instant at mid.

  7. 2,152 is just the outputted image just for the activity log template (in hits wise its atleast 30+ times that) Yeah I had to contact them and get a specialised package, total hits is way over 831583 (so far today). Still worked out better value than a dedi would have cost. Part from the load times, they look pretty good. :thumbsup:
  8. This is just a basic working example :) It's not just when you first create the signature does it take a while to load, consecutive loads still take in excess of 30 seconds for me. (by then I would have hit stop). Are you pulling the data from logs each hit? Or is it just the parsing of the RSS taking the time? I get around the last issue by caching the outputted image, and loading it straight from the hd. Then checking the creation time against current time to decide if it needs updating. (set mine for around 30mins) . That way I don't have to parse it each time and provide output in less than a second (<4ms processing). Not to mention just from my log signature hits (yesterday was 2152) with a 30 second process time would waste nearly 18 hours of load time. So its defiantly worth doing it.
  9. This is just a basic working example :) Trouble is its too much information for a signature imo. The only way of doing it well, in my eyes, would be to pull off keywords and have them in a say 5 image rolling section. Quick mock up of my idea Looking at it you'd spread it out and add the date underneath, but you get a rough idea. Its more coding, but its a lot nicer to look at and doesn't overload you with text. That's a pretty good idea. Its not that hard to do either, just a few regexs would get the job done as most titles are uniform with each type of event. Then its just a case of making icons for each event. :thumbsup: You could also use it to skip repeated events, such as monster kills ect.
  10. I did a quick template for them last week, But the size i'm currently limited to makes it difficult to display more than 3 full activities. The problem is that some of the activities titles can be pretty vague and the descriptions can be very long winded. So I look forward to seeing how you do it. Not really sure this has much 'Runescape Discussion' though.
  11. Yeah like paw_claw said, although they wont take down every server at the same time at some point the login server you are on will go down. Not to mention all the other services, friends/cc servers ect.. And then the site modules on top of that. Basically everything but the externally hosted game world servers (and a few of them are hosted in the same place, as they moved them recently). So its going to cause a lot of disruption, unlike the scheduled single server module updates/reboots. And if anything goes wrong, we have a topic to flame Jagex in. :twisted:

  20. Did a test at the Tower of life using the Ardy cloak 3. 1 hour: (-30k or so for hides). Not to shabby really.
  21. Been trying out to see how profitable the new seconds noting at tower of life, so far i'm getting 60ish unicorn horns per 25 cowhide, that's around 80k. So its atleast 400k an hour =). Even more with a familiar.
